Subetapedia: Pet Lore

After all these years, we figured it was time to pay some much deserved attention to the history of our ringleaders. Have you ever wondered how big our pets are, or a bit about their demeanor? Think you know how to pronounce their names? Well think again!

Now, we begin the unveiling of <a href=http://subeta.net/subetapedia/index.php?act=view_cat&id=11>the lore of our pets! We hope you'll enjoy the beginning of what will soon be a vast encyclopedia of information spanning across all of Subeta (how do you pronounce that anyway?) For now, dig into 10 of our most popular pets!

I've been waiting for this since I joined Subeta! Literally, this has been the biggest want of mine forever. THANK YOU for making this a reality!!! I can't WAIT until the Archan page is added, and now I have a bunch of new ideas for pets!

I want everyone to feel 1000000000% happy with keeping their OWN head-canon lores for our pets as well!! Your own pets, your own take on them, everything like that is expressing you own creativity, and it's great! So if you want a tigrean the size of a house-cat or a darkonite the size of an elephant, that is absolutely fine! Don't feel 'held back' by our official lore here - you guys are awesome, creative individuals, too!

Overall thanks so much for the positive feedback! I know I - and all my fabulous co-workers that helped out with writing, ideas, drawing, EVERYTHING - had a blast working on these articles!

aww, they're all so tiny! except the tigrean and kumos, i guess, which are a about actual tiger and big dog size.

I was going to say the same thing about the Darkonite -- it's way smaller than I imagined.

The Lain, too. It's like minion-sized when I expected something at least the size of a parrot.

I think in general I was expecting pets to be more the size of Pokemon, where everything is big enough to be cuddled. :P

This creates more questions than it answers, I think. Because if the pets are actually the animals, then who are the original Subetans? And then, how did it come to be that such pets as Alexander and the scratchcards malticorn and the awn shop guy (basically anthro pets) exist?

Darkonites are so small! They're like the teacup poodles/chihuahuas of subeta based on their description! Almost makes me want to get rid of mine all over again, but I finally got over the revamp. I'm just gonna go ahead and keep my head cannon that they're much bigger and more badass.

This is brilliant! Love this idea, been waiting for something like this, I've always wondered about the pets' backgrounds and their pronunciation.

This is amazing! Though I will say that my own tigrean is bigger than your average. I'm not fretting about it though, because it isn't as if there's no magic in Subeta.

The lore is nice as standard description, but as your personal story about a pet a bit different, you can just stay at your own story the way you want. I would not let pinning too much on the official lore. It serves as resource for if you do not know enough of somewhere, but the lore is not intended as a limitation for your own story, it seems to me.

What about the little icons I see: Well in my opinion they are fine as little icons, but I hope this icons are NOT a silent harbinger of new revamps. For example Malaria is now a pretty women. At the little icon about evil characters she is too fat for my taste , compare the bigger more pretty evil picture from her if you do her quests.

I think adding the common pose of the pet image to the page would be really helpful. Especially for newer members who don't know them all and go looking here or even longtime members who may have forgotten about a species. I know when it talks about the Tigrean markings or whatever I looked over expecting to see a picture so I can go "yeah, isn't that cool!" but there wasn't anything to look at :(

Underneath could be a link to adopt the pet as well.

For pets, I'd like to learn about Felis, Harvesters, Ghostlys, and Hikeis.

As for people, I'd want to know more about Cynthia, Sarah, The Oracle, Fantine, Dolly, and Elsie.

Very nice, but imaging my Lain so tiny... Poor thing. The Jollin is so small, too, you guys are really throwing off the epic stories I had in mind for them. :D

Nice story's espeacially from the kumos.

The story of the jollin is also nice. Jollins could be as best keep by at least two by one owner, but my jollin told me he has got already a lot of companion and activity with his gilrfriend, my experiment . He's not lonely and very happy. ;)

I hope the experiments don't get a lore or a lore who are very nuanced. Not black and white evil or good.

Lains are so tiny :o I pictured them as being... bigger, but that makes them more adorable when they're tiny x) I'd love to learn more about the Antlephore next!
