Seriously? With the others on this on how it would have been nice to receive a warning, especially when achievements are involved. It would have been nice if there was an increase to do like 40 quests a day a week before the quest was shut down and an announcement in the news so that users going for achievements still had a chance. Instead we got the rug pulled out from underneath us...
aw, I won't be getting those achievements now. Ah well, looking forward to getting some of those items anyway

His quests have been there for years, same with the achievements. If you haven't completed them yet, you weren't going to unless we told you to do them which isn't what achievements are for. Take this as a warning, there are likely to be more features shut down / folded into other features / achievements retired in the near future. :)

Tiki - Achievements are meant to be additions to doing things you're already doing / participating. Telling you when something is going to change in advance changes that dynamic and isn't something we're likely to do a lot of.
