I loveed the cosplay contest during epicon. And I went out of my way to remember what I went with and wow. I wonder if I could be that funny again...

Absolutely also loved being a dedicated zombie forever and coming up with insanely creative ways to cover the skin and make a somewhat coherent avatar out of it. I was blown away when I wandered back in and they were skins.

I'd love to see more reasons to interact with this site! Plots are a big one but little things like this are fun too. I used to YAP on this site as a kid and with the death of the forum I'm so much less of an internet yapper. But this is a forum. I'd love to yap on it.

I'd love to participate in a restock war really unlike as a middle schooler where the concept just never seemed to stick.

I really miss the search account feature, to flag which items on someone elses wishlist I owned. I get it's probably a tonne of work and not feasible, but it made Lumi gifting so much easier. Now I have less time for hobbies, this would be so useful to have again, though I know it's unlikely

Easier ways to view/catalogue owned CWs, without having to go into the wardrobe. A wishlist search in the custom wear shop menu too. help me spend more money while I'm on site

I played Neopets and Subeta for years. Subeta is the one I still come back to, even if it's just for the autumn and winter events, and it still feels like home. I hope that feeling stays with the new iteration of the site. (please god give the option to open things in new tabs though, please. I cannot abide things that force me to open the link in the same window, looking at you, FB comment sections)

I have many fond memories. Mostly, from the early years of the site. At one point I had many active friends and we had so much fun during the events. The Survival event was my most loved event back in the day! I even remember a few times calling in "sick" from work because I wanted to spend as much time as I could on the forums posting and chatting and obsorbing the event. It's crazy to think I have been here for 18 years!

My most loved pet species is the Chai. It resembles a bear, and I love bears. If I am honest, I truly love all the species, as I love animals of all kinds in real life. LOL. I would love to see some more unique poses for all species. It's hard to say what I would like to see happen, as the work that is put into the site is already wonderful.

Although I was not happy with 2025's Lumi event, I still appreciate the gifts you gave to us.

I joined Subeta to connect with my aunt and cousin orginally. Looking back I love how the site has grown and jumped around a bit. Golly, I remember when wardrobe layers were limited and I was working to save up for the expansion items.

I think my favorite memory on Subeta was the Ziara History Masquerade event. Specifically, when we met the Wild Aces. a close second would be the the Great Pandemic. Absolutely love Subeta and am thrilled to see it still growing despite bumps along the way.

oh man, where to even begin? i joined the site in... 2009? can that be right? i remember being excited by how pretty all the pets were, and muddling around in the wardrobe—back when we were limited to 2 items per layer, 3 saved outfits, and couldn't try on clothes we didn't own!—and having fun with the various plots and events. i guess if i had to reminisce on a specific aspect it would be trawling the adoption center for pets with inspiring names to adopt and create characters, stories, treasure chests, and profiles for. that was definitely one of the most engaging parts of the site for me at the time.

reminiscing about old events got me hankering for some revisits of the old contests we used to have—everything from baking a subeta-themed cake to group HA contests like battle of the bands. i was usually too shy to participate in any of that stuff back then, but if it came back around i'd love to have a go. i'd like to think there's still enough community activity for it to happen!

Spending hours perfecting my avatar. Looking through my saved outfits, I can see the evolution of my aesthetics. Collecting almost 7,000 food items for my awesome gallery! A WILD amount of sP has gone into that. Collecting books and food for Bad Devil... Subeta has been like an oasis for me. It's a calm and meditative time.

I really miss when pet names were unique. The reason is - it's not too difficult to get a pet of absolutely any color or species, but getting a great name was a big draw for me. I liked the feeling of having something no one else has. I'd camp out names of pets that have been inactive for a long time... it was fun. I know it can't be names, but I would love to have something like a very hard-to-get species or color. Something to make collecting pets more special again.

I was so into the pet spotlight back in the day! If one of my pets was nominated, I would check every day in case one they won ;U; I still love pets the most, but things feel a bit suspended in time. I kind of fell off when talk started of pet profile updates years ago. I still check in on my pets now, but I've never had the same commitment I had when I was younger. It's crazy to think I spent all of my twenties logging in. Subeta is an little nostalgic bubble for so many of us. I hope kumos makes pets a priority again! I'd love to see a new pet colour in 2026!

Wishlist search in Special Shops like Esther's and Steamworks Menagerie. They are huge now with catalogues going back years. Wishlist search would be super helpful.

I've always enjoyed the random quests that pop up from time to time on Subetea. I think the first one I was a part of was one that happened during the Masquerade and it hooked me on the site for sure! My favorite though was probably the Tempest one. It was short and wasn't that high stakes but it was so much fun finding the items, solving the mystery and then finding out we'd actually made a friend along the way! I love the way Tempest still pops up from time to time. It really like the 'lasting impact' feeling of it all. Like I said, I've enjoyed almost all the quests but the Tempest one has to be one of my favorites.

I wish there was more rabbit stuff. I'm sorry that's not specific but I love rabbits - I have a little black one that currently lives with me and any time rabbit items pop up I HAVE to make sure I get my hands on them. Also hamster stuff. We don't have much in the way of hamster stuff and that's just a darn shame. I'd rather collect hamsters than winter fairies.

With so many of the fun sites falling by the wayside or becoming nothing but ads I really appeciate how subeta has stuck to its roots. I hope the site continues to grow and stay strong for many years to come! Happy new year!

Meeting my friend on the Luminaire forums many years ago. It was the year that instead of having the holiday shop, gifts were being distributed by forum post randomly instead (lets not even get into the forum threads that popped up where everyone was essentially spamming to get those random presents lol)! One small interaction and we quickly grew to be really good friends. Eventually she visited New Zealand and I got to meet her and her lovely husband in person where we went out and had lunch and took a chocolate class together! I would have never thought I'd make such a friendship through Subeta but I look back at my time here and couldn't be any more grateful to the young Keith who envisioned this website and brought together so many people.

Something I'd Love to See

Traditional Shengui Guo Beanbag, Black Candy Skull Beanbag and a couple of other retired beanbags that are making it impossible to complete my beanbag collection! I would love to see them in the Crystal Shop, I have HPC that are burning a hole in my pocket and need to spend them somehow since most of the Crystal Shop stuff isn't too interesting right now.

Also the teahouse... please finally give us the teahouse, its only been about a decade 😭

Thank you for everything you do for Subeta Keith. You building and maintaining this website has brought so many people together who have made lifelong friendships and I truly couldn't be any more grateful for that.

I have pretty bad memory LOL hmm.....I think I remember being on teams for the snowballs and that was fun (like Tobias and... someone else maybe??) it was really engaging and I threw a ton of snowballs. I really enjoyed the plots and the stories. I liked the site wide events where you had to work together with everyone.

Something I'd like to see... hmm... being able to more easily seach my account in Kumos (similar to Legacy). And also, in shop search, having my shops be highlighted and go to the top so I can pull items out of my shop without going to legacy to see if I have it :P

I believe it was the first Lumi I was a part of. The free shop was stocking for Lumi that year, and I would click on one of those items whenever I remembered. My awesome memory was the excitement I felt when I clicked on a random item and scored one of the Epic Battle Weapons. I wore it on my avatar for so long before I sold it. :D

I love the idea of a house for us to decorate. Collecting items that we can wear is fun, but this would be another level of cool! I know that would be a huge undertaking, though.

I think one of the things that has been most memorable for me is just the way the community has worked from the very first day I joined. I remember one of my first goals being a glade potion for my first created pet, and thinking that it was going to take me forever to earn that much sp to buy one - and then being gifted one by a total stranger before I ever had to! This theme has been consistent, in my experience. I've lost track of how many inexplicably kind gifts I've been given over my time here, and I've done my very best to return the favour any time I've had the chance. This community is just so giving and helpful and I've not found any place quite like it.

Forgive me if this has already been done- I'm a little out of the loop at times! - but I would love a new way to start earning the subeta tiles that can go into collections, that's a little less time-consuming and luck-based than it currently is (and also not inaccessible to a large portion of the userbase lol)

ALSO!!!! ETA - It would be great to have a year indicator in shop search when searching for items from holiday shops so we know which tab to go to when trying to buy from Esther or Skitters, etc. c:

Several years ago I had someone friend request me. They had seen my pets names and were amazed to see they were in Hungarian. I have some Hungarian heritage and thought it was a fun way to make my pet names different and this person was actually from/living in Hungary. It was so amazing to them that someone in another part of their world "knew about their little country" as they said and it was the first time I realized the global connection that Subeta created. I will never forget that!

This might seem small but I know theres a lot of big recommendations in other comments...I would love to see the prize pools for pinatas expanded. I get a huge kick out of opening them (and stockings through most open-able stockings have skyrocketed in value that does not equate to the items you get out of it) and I would love a more diverse selection of items to make them exciting again!

Oh man, there's so many memories that come to mind when I look back on my time here, especially from the early days! During Masquerade, I once borrowed my sister's phone during class to get a couple extra hours in during Masquerade and that's only when she wasn't doing the same! I remember purposely hunting down viruses in the times before the real life pandemic hit and recontextualized that for many and then having to figure out how to have my HA look human again cause I never wanted to cure myself (and I am very happy they made it a skin I can take on and off in wardrobe later on). There's also that summer I obsessed over becoming a groupie during Battle of the Bands (still have that fanart in a folder on my old laptop). And of course I can never forget partaking in a roleplay group or two here and there... I don't think I can truly capture just how fond I am of this lil' site!

I wish there was a way to "time-travel" to get to interact with events/plots/items/etc. from the past here that we missed out on. Or even get to re-experience some of the fun events we got to have in the past.

I've been here for so long that it's not only hard to pick just one but I can't remember them all. I believe I was 19 when I first joined here and I'm gonna be a big 36 this year. Some of my fondest times were in the old, OLD Shoutbox back in the day when we would get into mischief and cause so much chaos. One of my Subeta pets turned TWENTY this year. I have virtual pets older than some of my coworkers, I don't know what to even do with that information LMAO. Despite so much that's passed, I still do my Melody's Cottage every year without fail and I've been trying to get my Bathhouse streak past 60-something days.

A new species of pet. I know I'm an outlier, but I have so many different kinds of pets that I'm craving something new.
