My Subeta Memory

I have a few things that jumped to mind. First, the Omen Islands plot! The puzzles, the lore/story telling, I loved all of it. It gave me something to play on here that wasn't just repetitive goal-reaching.

I also have very fond memories that involve the community here. Very early on in my days here I was doing mysterious melody and was going back and forth with someone who was exclusivley sending me raspberry themed items - so many that I decided I needed to pick a theme and get them back. I don't know why I thought that was so funny, but I loved it, it made me giggle.

I've also had multiple moments of being in awe at everyone's generosity. I try to pass it forward when I can, because I know what it's like to log in on my birthday and see a major wishlist item from "anonymous" or open my tree to find that some kind soul saw it was a little empty and made it their goal to fill it. Even when I didn't know anyone here yet there were tons of people ready to lend a hand, a coin, a story.

More stories, puzzle, site-wide events. I know they're time consuming to create, but they really are so cool. The Omen Islands, the first zombie plague, it was all so much fun.

Wow, I've been on here for just over seventeen years and I have had to really think about one favorite thing. One of things that stands out is the absolute kindness of people on here, both users and staff. No question is too dumb, no problem too little, and there's always something to do. The most favorite thing for me though is Luminaire. Several years back I was pretty isolated at home, no family near, no gifts to open, nothing. I was pretty down on Christmas morning and of course got on Subeta. There were so many gifts under my tree and no gift was too small or insignificant for me, each and every one meant something special. I felt connection. I cried. I'm sure I was posted on an empty tree forum and I will always gift those forums heavily. That's my favorite memory, people reaching out.

I would love to see more events in the future. I know they are a lot of work to put together and make happen but they some of the funnest parts of Subeta for me.

i've grown up on subeta (joined when i was 10, now i'm 25!) and met so many friends through the years, my favorite subeta memory was getting to assist in the sensitivity of the duality quests & getting some of the verbiage changed to be a bit more accurate to what their story was trying to portray!

i would love to see more plot! i'm sure this was mentioned 100 times in the thread, but i think the most we see out of the site is wearable items -- i'd love to shift away from that (or let the users submit site items as well!) and move into something more shiny and interactive, as the dailies do get a bit tiring sometimes! ;_;

my time goes back to 1/14/2011(tomorrow lol) My memory is fuzzy with lots of things. My favorie memories were when teh shoutbox was lively and full of nuts. We used to spend all day on there with nonsense. Time went by and everyone got jobs and families and it got quiet.

Peka-Boo event back in 2014... forming a band with friends, coordinating HA to enter the contest... each of us had a different colour/companion/instrument, and we had so much fun making those. Now and then, I come across those printscreens in some folder with old stuff and I just start reminiscing

My favorite memory of the site is DEFINITELY the plots, especially The Great Pandemic plot in 2009. It was probably my favorite in terms of involvment and creativity, and I love that each year we celebrate survival and get the chance to obtain new skins! Honestly soooo fun.

Something I'd Love to See

I would definitely love to see new pet colors. Something like toadstool where the pets looks like little overgrown mushroom forests (anything cottagecore vibes!!!), or storybook where they could possibly resemble childhood tales/fantasy characters.

Also, it would be nice to have the shop search toggle between CC and regular items, similar to how it is when searching for items within the wardrobe.

I’m a long-time Subeta player, and even though I don’t often participate socially, this site has brought me so much joy over the years. I’m still a little shocked that, at my age and after all this time, I genuinely love popping in to explore, collect, and participate. It really means a lot to me. ♥

I really want to see us be able to put the furniture we’re collecting to good use. Can we get like tiny little ‘figures’ of the base colors of our pets and have a little like doll-house style thing for us to decorate? :3

I'm also a bit of a recluse, but I do interact much more often than usual on the holiday boards. Over the years, I've seen and casually interacted with several familiar users; I still smile when they pop up anywhere. :)

Having been here since 2008, I got to see most of these yearly holidays come to be in the first place (and many a plot to go with them!). I think Masq has become my favorite for all the cool avatars. We look amazing!

When even was the last Subeta meetup? I almost went to one in the early 2010s and I'm still kicking myself for backing out. OTL Kind of a pipe dream, but there's that.

• One of my favorites was the Peka-A-Boo Festival! I loved everything about the event from the battle of the bands to the fun items that were released.
• On the 2nd anniversary of my account, my best friend and I created matching pets together. That was in 2014, and I still have the pet even though my friend (who is still my roommate) doesn't play anymore. I just convinced him to log back in and send me his pet so they can be together on my account haha.

I would love to see another event like the Peka-A-Boo Festival, as well as be able to purchase those items again!

This site has been a huge part of my life continusously for almost 14 years, and I just have so much gratitude and love for everyone who has made that possible over the years. Thank you so much for everything you do! :)

My Subeta memory has to be when I first joined the game and decided to start playing. It was very very fun and I remember my first Subeta Luminaire event and decorating my tree and all the presents I recieved and friends I made.

I'd love to see some new pet colors like orange especially for the tigrean and also maybe like pet clothes too since I think it's a cute/cool concept.

My favorite memory would be when we had to stay as a zombie to buy from skitters at the zombie den. I stayed as a butterfly brusie zombie for a very long time and am still so proud of having that skin.

I know it's a heaps of work but like so many others I would love to see the return of the site plots and event type things like the book drive.

I remember the Pirates VS Islanders war and hating restocking, so I focused on battling. I remember that I could get as far as 5 wins on Angrybeard and it only made me want to get stronger. Now my battle pet is capped!

Basically all of my friends from another pet site came here after they made a revamp of the pets there and we all were in the same a cult. (That was a thing back then. We even where allowed to talk in German.) Even though I never met these people in person, they felt like friends or almost like family. Due to personal circumstances I took a long hiatus and unfortunately all of these friends apart from one stopped playing.

I'd love to see old plots coming back, because I missed plenty of them. Also I know it's not the point of retired achievements, but probably make old achievements attainable again.

The very first memory that comes to mind when I think of all the years I've spent on Subeta is-- and I'm going to date myself on this one --waking up early to use the family computer before going to school in order to start the day by discovering what the advent calendar surprises were.

When I think about all the different quests, all the detailed stories that brought new revelations and fleshed out all the NPCs, it's just incredible.

I've been gone for a while, so I'm stilll rediscovering everything and catching up with what I've missed... I really liked that Melody offered the option of claiming older items this past year, so maybe I'd like to see more of that in other events, things that allow users who missed out on past one-time/ limited items to still get the chance to obtain them (short of impossibly priced shops and/ or trades)

The fact that this site is not only still active but is actively being worked on to continue its future is so amazing. Thank you to all the folks who work so hard to make this all happen!

My favorite memory has been interacting with players, especially for pet adoption and sticking stickers. I haven't been online much but I try to visit everyday to browse through the site.

I would love to see plots return. For some reason or another, i haven't participated in many (or maybe none, I don't remember). I've participated in a few on othe rsites and it's always fun.

I would love to see more fairy stuff like items/minions/wearables or anything else doable.

I've been here since the beginning, so picking just one memory is rough! I suppose for the sake of laughs, one of my favorites was that one time the Shoutbox broke, and everyone's usernames were stuck in item image brackets, so we couldn't tell who was who.

'Sept me. Since my username was an actual item, I was the coffee image for the duration of the shenanigans. Good, simple laughs.

I've mostly been a lonesome player, just doing my. quests and making outfits. I enjoy the latter most, and I have fond memories of when I could finally afford custom wearables!
