I encountered a new problem this morning, when I went to view the MM results:

I can no longer scroll on Kumos - everything is cut off at the middle of the page. I even tried to post on the feed back board there - in vain, it seems the issue is site wide. I tried quoting your initial post, which only part of is viewable. I imagined, this would take me to the text box, but it didn't.

Re the shaded coloring on the MM page/white letters: It's really hard to read the header and Melody's first line, where the purple BG is still very light. Gets better the further down you read, as the purple intensifies.

Edit: I tried again and noticed, that the drop downs of the top bar menue also don't work anymore.

Edit 2: Thx for fixing the scrolling issue! Top bar Dropdowns still not working, yet that doesn't matter, lol.

PPS: I've just noticed, that the drop downs actually DO work, it's just, that I don't see them. Since they remain open when clicked, I could highlight them and then the writing became visible. So sorry :-( :-( :-(

I'm so happy to see that kumos is coming together nicely! ;; I don't have... much to add because I'm not actively involved in a lot of the features and parts of the site that others are, but I do have one thing I'd really really really love to see implemented on Kumos. Now that the sidebar has made it's return, will we be able to see our full human avatar on the side like we do now (as seen below)?

As someone who is mostly here for the avatar building and CWs, this has been one of my main gripes with the new layout. It feels a little disheartening (honestly, it's more than a lil but im trying not to come off too dramatic lol) to have spent so many years collecting wearables to not be able to see my own avatar in it's fully glory on every page so I'm hoping that's a simple thing that could be implemented? Or even a toggle/setting of some sort so that the people that do prefer their HA be compacted to the circle can, and those of us that don't still have the option to see the entire thing? Plz Keith, im on my hands and knees begging. ;o;

I'd like to 2nd what posted about in regard to the HAs. I'll admit that I haven't spent much time on there as I find it to be quite clunky on phone and that's primarily where i access from these days.

As I am not as active with pets anymore, I have shifted focus more towards cws and HAs. I feel having the full HA is important due to the site having so many users who are HA focused. I know I wouldn't go out of my way to click someone's icon to view their HA, add likes, ext as my time online is often limited as is my attention span lol. I like being able to see the full HA in posts. I would most likely find little to draw me if that ends up no longer being a feature. I enjoy seeing the different outfits and styles.

I heard it's being worked on, but the item hovers to see wears is also an important feature and hopefully that ends up being added/fixed.

I agree with . So far I haven't said anything about the little HA dots because they weren't used anywhere I cared about but I don't actually like them. They are to small to appreciate my HA or pet. Why even have an HA if I can't appreciate the whole thing all the time. And the frames just cut into what little space they have already.

On another note I am looking forward to being able to use the themes I have unlock for Subeta. I have been using the Luminaire one for years because it is the most neutral of them all. Although I would love to see a more cheerful version of the Luminaire theme (maybe aurora with dark deep blues and many other colors or more traditional red and greens). I like that I have a neutral one because the default and most of the others are to bright and bold. Even the default on the new site is much brighter than the original at least on my screen.

I know things aren't finalized so it is hard to say what I think over all. It is getting better and I am grateful for how well the Subeta team and Keith are keeping us up to date as things progress. It may seem unrealistic but if possible when we get closer to the final move I hope we are warned very early on the tentative plans. Similar to how Keith mentioned the Forum changes months ago. Although I don't remember even noticing the announcement about that.

Thank you it looks very pretty and the colors look perfect with it. Though I had to refresh and switch between themes a few time before it showed up. I had forgotten that is where it was on the new site. Many of us may need a map after the move.

The colors with the Shadowglen theme are not what I was expecting. I picture Shadowglen more dark and more drab, except for the glowing purple crystals in the woods and the glowing candles in the underground. On the Delphi theme if the background color behind the text in the sidebar and news post was a sand color the text would be visible and it would feel like it fit the theme better. I love purple though so its hard to make that suggestion. Autumn is very nice and I will have to try it next year and I will recommend the Morostide theme to dark reader fans I know. I hope the green changes a little though it seems a bit bright on the dark background for a fall/spooky theme. It would be really cool if the Shadowglen theme was similar to the Morostide and Darkside themes in having a dark screen look to it or maybe a dark grey or green instead of black.

The way the image at the top expands work better for some themes than other. I most enjoy the way the Luminaire image expands. But what are the chances we will ever see a revamp of any or all of the images at the top?

The one major criticism I have about kumos is how HUGE the sidebar is (width-wise) and how big the text is on the news page. It's hard to look at. I have to zoom out from 100% to 80% in my browser to get the sizing to look like it does on legacy Subeta, but that is not an ideal solution, because zooming down also scales down the size of images and makes them too small. The scroll bar is also annoying. I prefer the sidebar without a scrollbar, like it currently is on legacy.

Also noticed how items on kumos don't have a + or - on them to add and remove from wishlist easily, which is a feature I always use. All items also have a border around them, which makes it look like everything is on my wishlist.

Appreciate the HA widget being added to the sidebar, but now it needs to be centered.. because currently, the HA is aligned to the left and so it looks ugly. I'm sure that will be fixed eventually, but just pointing it out!

That's a great point, I take for granted how often I use that WL feature. I also think items having no border by default looks a lot nicer.

Rarely I'm getting random shop purchase events from Kumos

I'd rather not get the Kumos, which lists items sold individually, obviously. If I had a ton of purchases (which the majority of users probably have) it would drive me crazy, I guess...

However, it would be a great plus, if on Subeta proper, the shop events would come in on point, not when all of a stack have been bought up already and I can't change anything anymore, even though I'm online at the time...

And this is truly layout related: The purchase link takes me to Kumos. And not the sales list, which we would need. First I didn't know, what the page was all about, then I noticed, it shows me the "first page" of items in said shop - this is terrible!!! Can we please get a simple clear (much longer) list with shop relevant info like we have now and not a confusing widespread accumulation of pictures!? The set up of shops we have on legacy is easy to navigate and shows all relevant info in a condensed, easy to grab/navigate way.

Edit 12.22 Today I received another event from Kumos about a shop purchase, yet again none on Subeta proper...

hello everyone! there have been some major changes over the last few weeks to kumos, that have hopefully made it more enjoyable for you to use:

1. I rewrote the sidebar to not use our external library, and hoepfully it works more like you expect page to page.
2. there are more widgets (clock!) and i'm adding more, more frequently, and adding more abilites for you to customize them
3. the themes got another set of improvements, and hopefully aren't as blinding. you might need to choose a new theme (in the footer) for this to take effect -- i need to figure out how to fix this default 💀

the biggest change, which will be a huge boon once customCSS is added, is an upgrade on our our CSS is built. All of our colors, for every theme, are now defined in CSS variables that can be easily overridden. things like spacing (padding, margin), also very very easy to override.

still working on other major improvements, but hopefully each new feature (like quests!) feels more friendly 💖

um... well... it definitely still seems pretty broken and still makes me incredibly uneasy to look at but idk if i should be pointing out specific issues or if everything is already known and will be fixed eventually...

Why is the clock a widget now and not on the top as it used to be? My sidebar is pretty full on legacy now and I need to scroll to reach certain parts of it. Wouldn't want the clock to get in the way, once everything is there.

I want to see my whole avatar, not just the headshot, because my sidebar is sort of the only place I see my avatar. If I can never see it, it's kind of meaningless to have one - I know, others see it on the forums, but again I don't post that much...

There's still quite a lot of dark text on dark backgrounds that I can't read very well, including your post. This is the morostide theme.

Question: Will custom CSS just be for colors? Or like, everything like it is now?

And another question that is potentially off topic, How do I fix my leashed pet on Kumos?! I've tried everything from leashing, unleashing, disabling leash, but it's still showing a pet that I haven't had leashed in ten years. It honestly kind of drives me crazy. x_x
