I hope everyone is doing okay! I'm sorry for being MIA so much recently. Struggling with my own health and feeling overwhelmed. We're still recovering from the storms, but it's going well overall. The recent political events in the country have been a pretty heavy blow, as I'm sure they are for many. One step at a time. <3

Mom is still recovering well from her surgery. My winter illness time has begun. Reading a lot. Crocheting a lot.

It seems to take forever between the last two stages of the compost heap.

I'm sorry to hear about your illness! I hope the reading and crocheting are bringing you joy! I gave up on the composting xD I got three prizes (the ones I most wanted) and was like "eh, I'll save some pumpkins to see what Fantine is all about this year".

On one hand having hard-to-complete things can be frustrating because it's like "I want to do everything" but on the other hand I think those are necessary for Subeta to remain interesting for folks over a long time period. There have to be short and long term goals. :D

I think this country could use some kindness and a little goodness right now so I think we should borrow Sinterklas. I have trouble with the early darkness myself. I try to practice Hygge and I have a light to help.

I found myself on lunch break laying on the floor soaking up the sun. We had clouds and rain for days, coupled with the darkness I felt closed in and was getting iffy.

- Oh, I love fireplaces. They don't even have to work for me to love them. They are so quaint and cheerful although some are just plain elegant. When I was small we had a fireplace in our home. We used to have a fire burning all the time because it was such a toasty warmth. We also popped popcorn over it. It had an awesome smoky flavor. :D

Thanks and welcome. Sinterklaas is coming to us tomorrow with his steamboat.. so far he is having troubles getting to the city Vianen due of all the closed bridges. Oh now.. we do hope he will make it on time, lol! The sinterklaas jorunal new anchor hope all will goes well. Each year they think of something that goes wrong and then each year at the nick of time it's solved and they arrive on time. It's a kids holiday but we grownups like it to. I watch each year and the hour and a half show of hime coming to us by boat on time, etc. That is tomorrow... but i am taping it as i am visiting a friend in another city.

- It's always good just to visit friends and go out to lunch. :) On Christmas Eve, NORAD (a military defense site) opens up a website, the Santa Tracker. It lets you see where Santa is in the world so you can get to bed before he gets to your area of the US. It's really cute and I used it every year when my kids were little. You never saw kids get into bed so quickly. 😂 Did you get your prizes? I completely forgot to compoost yesterday so I'm off to do it now. :D

and all the lovely lurkers... Does anyone know how to get the 20th Anniversary Riftborn kumos cookie? I've heard that you can get it from Major Drills. Does anyone know if that's true or if there is another way to get it? :D

I believe you can only get that cookie by tossing an item into The Rift and hopefully getting the cookie tossed back out. I've not had any luck yet. Tempest was kind enough to give me a Storm cookie (still need a 2nd one) but the rift is not cooperating.
