I don't know how the housing market is where you're at and what your parents financial situation is. Around here, $600 would be about 4/5th of what you'd have to pay if you find a random room with shared amenities, so that sounds pretty steep to ask of your children. That sucks. I hope you'll still be able to save some money. Maybe you can start looking for a different place to stay once things settle down a bit.

Gonna post over here for once! A little under two weeks into recovery from spinal surgery and so far so good. Been staying with my parents' for support but I go back home tomorrow. Could stay here longer if I needed to but I'm mostly taking care of myself now anyway and I miss my pets. Two weeks away from my dog has been rough!
