Am confused about the Shinwas Heart Pendant because the change is listed as Shinwas Heart Pendant - CC ↔. Does that mean the stats listed on SubetaLodge still apply or are they different now? If they are the same I can use it for my Tier 4 pet along with the Phoenix Quill and Rainbow Quill because neither of them take the Healer Slot.

This still leaves me with the problem of what to do with the Shinwas Quill. It's completely useless now.

PS: To add insult to injury the Rainbow Quill (Tier 4) costs 2,286 sP if you restock it from Weapons Warehouse, currently 68,792 sP if you buy it from a player shop or 10 hard tokens if you buy it from the Battle Shop.

Yeah, I bought the pendant despite it taking the healer slot because it was suitable for my smaller guys. I got the quill because of the dark block and I could use it in congruent with the pendant since it didn't take the healer slot. That set up is now ruined. I know it was my fault for buying the two while the revamp was going on, but I didn't expect the quill to take such a hit.

I understand the sentiment of avoiding pay-to-win mentality with these CSC weapons. If they're too good, then people will complain about having to spend money just to succeed at battling (which isn't true, but the complaint is always gonna be there from non-battlers). and I'm fine with some of the adjustments made to the CSC weapons pretty much.

Neither the Quill or the Pendant were god weapons or close to that. They were nice weapons that fit their price point for the early tiers that left plenty of ways to win that did not involve them. Far from game breaking, required to win, delivering auto wins or anything else that fits pay to win.

Also god boxes exist and are not going anywhere. Worse they fall under loot box chance mechanic. If someone is going argue there is pay to win here those are a much bigger target than these CSC weapons.

Most definitely agree on the boxes. a bit more of a disgusting practice, but currently, you don't need a god weapon to succeed. But depending what Purge does, that could potentially change and become a problem.

I'm trying to get my main battle pet to Tier 13 but am starting to wonder if it's worth the expense and bother. Will high tier battling become an exclusive club for the elite who have god weapons? Maybe I'm just being pessimistic after what was done to the Shinwas Quill.

Let's say someone wants to start battling with a Tier 1 pet. What are they going to buy now? They have a choice of

  1. Shinwas Quill - costs 1k CSC and takes the healer slot or

  2. Phoenix Quill - doesn't take the healer slot. Costs 10 million sP from the Millionaire Center or 8 million sP in summer?

I always say that godlies are not needed for battling and even after everything, they still shouldn't be. But it's hard to break that mentality on people sometimes, because they are alluring.

I don't think God weapons are required to win either. I brought them up only as a more likely target of pay to win thinking then the solid low tier CSC weapon Shinwas Quill.

It mostly depends on the heal caps, and what Purge decides for the godlies versus everything else in T10+. I said it on the discord, but if the others are 300HP caps and the godlies cap at 600HP, that might lead people to thinking they need the godlies then to survive battles (which shouldn't be the case because defense is getting buffed to compensate for the lowered heal caps).

Shinwas Quill is one of almost 2,000 weapons and has never been a staple weapon for the higher tiers (edit - my point being comparing it to top tier weapons is comparing apples and oranges). All of which purge has to go through one by one on his own without a friendly user interface to implement the changes. If you've ever championed an overhaul of any magnitude...it never goes perfect and there are hiccups along the way.

's intent with this specific change was to make all Quills single use.....its impossible to think of everything any of these changes impact. He's consistently said all adjustments are fluid as there has been no concrete plan for a lot of things like healing caps.

He's been listening to our grievances and open to changes thus far in the restat process....the remaining tiers are no different.

The goal with this was to make battling less stale and not screw over battlers at any level...... Were entering the most sensitive portion of restat yet....we just have to constructively post what we see as imbalanced and sit back for the rest of the journey. Nothing is concrete at this point.

And as a rule of thumb....don't buy any item on subeta without the expectation it can be restated, redrawn, renamed, re-released or even changed into a completely different item. Time is time regardless of its in the form of sP earned or $ used for CSC. All users are impacted by any changes - postive or negative.

I just want to touch on this. That sentiment is ridiculous because this is a pay-to-win site in many ways, including battling. People can (and do) spend real money on CSC cards and convert to sP to buy all sorts of items (high end weapons included.) In fact, I wish I had done that with the 3,000 CSC last year that I spent on the recently-nerfed-at-higher-tiers Blessed Trident. I could have used a fraction of it to buy the Swashbuckle, which stands as a better wind block for my needs (at least before it gets "revamped.")

This isn't a dig at you. I'm simply pointing out that pay-to-win shouldn't be considered in regard to these changes.

Buying CSC weapons from the Cash Shop doesn't automatically mean spending real money because people can get CSC from

  1. Visiting the Bathhouse Pools every day
  2. Winning Morty Cards from questing
  3. Buying Morty Cards and CSC Gift Cards from other players.

I didn't spend any real money for my Shinwas Quill but I'm still stuck with a weapon which is useless to me where battling is concerned. I don't even have a chance of selling it unless I undercut the Millionaire Center, losing a lot of sP in the process.

Suggestion - take the healing away and put it back to being a scaling weapon using all the other original stats. Also give it 3 mod slots back. People can try for a low chance of healing using Healing Mod Crystals.

Theoretically it shouldn't matter too much. Most of the healing caps are affecting high T12 and T13 pets, but they can already beat most opponents :P He's also raising the defenses on the weapons so that they become standardizard and we don't have to rely on healing as much anymore. Things might be a bit harder for people chasing the most wins on an opponent, but overall I don't think less healing is as scary as it seems.

TBH currently unfavorable to most pets over tier 10, but currently highly favorable to T8-10 pets who can take advantage of T8-10 weapons which have the best defense improvements. Also, if the weapons don't scale enough, it quickly loses much of its usefulness past its tier limit. No amount of limited defense improvement can migitate that.

Strangely enough, the opponents don't care about healing caps. I've got weapons stolen during Moro battles, and they are like "what cap?"

Also what's happening with the legendaries and combos? Are they saved for last?

[edit](I can't post twice in a row, but I add this)

Also about Blackmoon's War Plate, I have to say that revamp is quite disappointing, sorry. It should be a showcase of how the revamp makes defense much better, but it falls way short of its goal.

Just think about a T10 or above pet battling some EH or IMP challenger, and consider "Should I use a valuable weapon slot for the warplate?" and "Is it worth foregoing half the attack for this turn?" and the answer is no and no.

15 x 9 = 135 defense icons for the Warplate sounds decent on paper, but the other healing weapons are already around 90, now 125 post revamp (although I really think they should be 150 to make up for lost heal), and they attack as well. And the defense icons are spread out as well, and the challengers you'll be facing would typically be doing at least 30 icon attack of some random elements at this point, sometimes double stacked too.[/edit]

Prodigy Staff: base defense was raised, scaling is still the same. Healing is now capped at 425 HP.

Holy Rosary: healing is capped at 400 HP (thanks !)

Dark Goddess Rod: healing is capped at 400 HP

Blackmoons War Plate: healing is capped at 400 HP and the curse is actually two turns

Malerias Cursed Arm Bangle: healing is capped at 500 HP

Ornamented Hook Swords: healing is capped at 450 HP

Possessed Bow: healing is capped at 400 HP

Enchanted Key Staff: base healing is capped at 350 HP I think the CC defense was missed so we're probably going to circle back to this one

Benevolent Grenade: base healing is capped at 350 HP (when paired with Defensive Bandana) :dmg🔥15 :dmg:water:15 :dmg:light:15 :block🔥75 :heal: 10% HP (capped at 500 HP)

Plague Claw: base healing is capped at 350 HP Second attack (~10% activation rate) Attack remains the same :block:earth:75 :block:physical:75 :heal: 10% HP (capped at 500 HP) I agree that the curse only activates with the second attack

Pretty Big Tooth: healing is capped at 450 HP It also has a curse! I didn't know that 😅 Toothy Chomp (Curse | 3 rounds) :dmg:dark:2 :dmg:earth:2

So the Retribution Scroll remains the same as an OPB scroll? The OHS heal cap is gonna hurt since there is no higher tier pure earth blocker except for the godies:(
