Darn, seems like the placeholder names are here to stay. But I'm so impatient and I really want to find out which NPC it is ahead of time. The placeholders don't even give any hints, I'd be fine with hints because it would be fun to work it out.

no, my pet is strait up brute force and meat shield. There's no reason to build a pet around weapons you don't have the time to put in to earning. Level: 75 Health: 10700 Strength: 10700 Defense: 500 Speed: 100 There's no way but through. just keep grinding if quests are still doable after the change, and keep buying health and strength.

All weapons with any sort of defense attached to them require your pet to have defense in order for them to become effective. Both strength and defense are on a log curve of diminishing return so after a certain point you stop seeing significant gains unless you invest thousands of stat points more.

Think of your pet's stats as how effective they are with a weapon. Take for example . The eyeball is a solid water blocking option until you can win MW. It has a multiplier of either 35 or 45 icons of water defense but say it's a straight 45 icons for simplicity's sake. How much damage that gets blocked is all determined by your pet.

damage blocked = (sqrt(pet defense)/4) x (weapon multiplier)

Since your pet has 500 defense, you would block 252 water damage versus a pet with 1500 defense that would block 436 water damage. And if your pet had 6500 defense, you would block 907 water damage using the same weapon that only costs 12 mil if you can't win your own from beating prodigy. I think you have unknowingly created a pet you are trying to avoid - one that is heavily reliant on 100+ icon blocking multiplier weapons.

I see you are only at the soft cap. You still can add another 6500 defense and 5900 speed if you wanted to. Speed also ties nicely with strength. If you outspeed your opponent, you can do double damage on crit hits. Combine that with crit strike mods and it is possible to do quadruple damage.

Started getting all missing wins against impossible and extremely hard challengers with secondary battle pet and to use those 50 tomes on the other. Strength 6,383 -> 6,470 Defense 5,418 -> 5,507 Health 8,400 -> 8,493 Speed 5,229 -> 5,320 Level 2,167 -> 2,271 AP 177 -> 184 Still so much to do... And Lukien is indeed very annoying.

May I ask how on earth you have only 75 level but with 10000 health and str?lol that's just stunning to me since you don't seem to use tomes to boost but with a tons of health and str booster, and imo, it costs a lot too that is not cost effective and the market might lack a lot of health/str boosters for you to buy The intell boost from tomes are important too since you need the intell for scrolls and equip as much scrolls as possible against some really strong opponents I can't say you are doing wrong but even without the reset and revamps, you are gonna stuck on most really difficult opponents in the current state

And with that 15 pets are now tier 6 or higher. Remaining pets are just here, probably to get battle eggs when the reset hits.

But yes I am very happy! Now to work on getting any other pets close to their next tier... to their next tier. As well as grabbing amulets and tomes from battles while I can.

I know how defense works, it's more like without being able to spend the time to get blocking weapons like Natazha or the hydrogellos core, defense is a waste of expeience points. Which feeds back into making defense weapons useless to me. Once percent based healing goes away, I'm not suddently going to be able to get weapons. I'll just be in a sitation where bulldozing with chronus and manifesting weapon will no longer work.

My pet's stat are from battling experience, since training isn't great if you don't log in enough to use the training center. It has never been boosted either. I mean, if I can't afford weapons, where is the money for tomes or scrolls going to come from? lol Get enough health and those problems go away. My pet will never cap, because the heat death of subeta will come before I pool enough points.

I mean, if you don't use boosters but with only exp points to pump up health and str, that's crazy to me since I don't know how much time it costs for you to reach that stat lol And on the other hand, having only health doesn't get you far because there is a 999 healing cap for weapons. So let say you manage to bump up your health to 20000, you still only get 999 heal for 10% based weapons. And with your low defense and speed and low AP, you pretty much get your ass kicked with opponents like the processed maleria and the para sagg since defense and scrolls are important against them So essentially. having only high health doesn't mean the problem go away lol

I think you missed the point I was trying to make. You don't need natasha or a core if you invest in your pet's stats. High end weapons like natasha, cronus, manifesting weapon, sword of the seven seas, etc help pets that don't have enough core stats to reach those last few wins or can be used by a capped/close to cap pet to farm a ridiculous number of wins on the high score tables. If you invest in defense, it makes using cheaper weapons that are readily available a more viable option because you are relying more on your pet instead of the weapon.

I listed some cheaper high end weapons since you were asking about them originally. I also listed some cheaper scrolls that are good if you needed some scroll options as well. All of these will feel stronger to use if you invest in defense, but it's your pet and your choice to build how you like best. Even with the best weapons that cost billions of sP, you can still lose. There is always a chance your freeze protection gives out and you are chain frozen, an opponent crit hits you for more than double your health, an opponent disables weapons and you are forced to only use scrolls, etc. Don't let that discourage you.
