And with that, we are officially in the black. The next four drops will be all black items - and a very good mix of a lot of common, a chunk of 1mil+ and a handful of 10mil+ items. I didn't quite realize that doing this alphabetically would have me color locked for a number of days, it'll be the same sorts of shenanigans when we get to blue and the other colors.

I don't have much to say today (again, feeling ick), but I did make a stupid number of black and white HAs, so I guess I'll post one with each black drop? Let's start with a REALLY early one, my 12th HA ever. (Yes, I did save all my early ones with the items next to them, up to HA 79. I'm trying to remember if I put them in my forum signature? But I don't even remember if forum signatures were around back then XD LOOK 16 YEARS AGO IS A LONG TIME OKAY)

Two HAs this time. The first I had art commissioned for that I completely forgot about, and sadly don't have the artist's name saved either. I'm sorry! The second one has the face paint from the original Omen Islands plot. I kinda wish that would be brought back, I loved getting the golden trinkets and the actual festival activities. ...Granted they sacrificed a little girl... (also granted that even if Subeta brought it back I wouldn't be here for it! XD) (also....wow. Seeing these two side by side is.... Look in real time they were about 50 HAs apart from each other, and one was July 2009, the other was February 2010 (thank you image properties!). I'm allowed the duplication while still feeling creative!)

There are two items in this drop worth over 25mil, and one worth about 50mil, and I don't understand any of them. The ones that are a few mil? I get those. These three being so expensive, I'm sitting here like 'wut'.

No specific item shoutouts here. So since it's new years eve/new years depending on your time zone, I'll talk about missing the new years goodie bags that used to float around the site. I really loved the collecting aspect to it, and while the randomness of what you would get could be very frustrating, it was also very fun. I get why they switched over to the new years shop instead, but I do feel like it took a bit of an aspect of play out of the site. Plus, don't you only get the tokens through quests now or something? So even the randomly finding it aspect is reduced. Looking at the news archive, this was changed in Dec 2013/Jan 2014 - moving from the goodie bags to the shop. It's also reminding me that we used to have a Holiday Shop which was where a bunch of these items were stocked, including wrapping paper for the gifts! No recollection of when that was gotten rid of, but I do remember having a bunch of wrapping paper that then became essentially useless as now you bought the paper directly from the gifting page.

(though the one I have the most of actually is an anniversary goodie bag - not a new years one. Got 208 . Look forwards to that when we reach the Ts!)

To be fair, I'm a huge fan of chance aspects of the site, though not necessarily when it involved actual cash. Do they still have the CSC vending machines where you only have a chance of getting certain items? (I have spent way too much actual money on this site, including with those chance machines.) Oh, they technically do, but it looks like it's just a click page now, versus the actual vending machine imagery.

HAs! ANOTHER three black and white ones - I told you I made way too many of these! Seriously, even with another two black item drops after this, I am not running out of options to share for HAs. Another HA that I commissioned art for, once again from Romanteek! And the last I think I had the concept of mob boss wife in my head somehow?

I like how even in the few HAs that I've shared in these posts, you can easily see trends of how I created HAs, or certain items that I really liked using. How many times have I already shown HAs using that wig in the first one? Or the fact that I constantly need to have things on my wrists? And I assure you, while clearing out my wardrobe for this giveaway, I ALSO kept testing certain wrist/ankle items for my current HA. Couldn't find any that fit, but if I had I 100% would have been wearing it! As it is, I've got the glitter/freckles/tattoos all along the arms and legs, which fits my specific style as much as I could. The funny thing is that in real life I HATE having things touch my wrists! I can't wear watches or bracelets, and hoodies or sweatshirts that have the elastic at the wrists drive me NUTS because they're too tight.

I do kind of miss the "Hey, it doesn't match, and has a distinctly mid-2000's air to it, but we're having fun" style of HAs.

So sad to see you leave but I totally understand. I have almost left a few times but somehow manage to come right back to it. I love seeing your posts of previous HA because it reminds me of how much fashion has changed over the years. Not sure why some of those choices were made but all you can do is laugh and enjoy it haha. I hope whatever your next journey holds, is everything you want it be!!!

I love the chance items too. Even the cheap pinatas from the Toy Box are fun for me. And I always open booster packs from the trading card shop. But gamble my CSC? ... Maybe once in a blue moon.

I remember the holiday shop too, I loved restocking there even though the profits were pretty slim. So festive and fun.

What does it say that my dreams last night included a random user pinging the group to a masquerade dance post, and me getting annoyed at the user saying that people expected items from it, not to be pinged to dance? (and then the user did it AGAIN) (honestly it probably doesn't say too much because this was after I'd woken up the first time and was now just dozing on and off, so those dreams to tend to contain more immediate real world references, at least for me)

This is one of those pages where it's like, 95% wears. I know I had a big wardrobe, but I also know that my vault was full of stuff anyway before I started clearing the wardrobe out! :D

I've been a bit careful to try to show HAs that I still liked and thought I did a good job with, so lets ruin that and show an old HA or two in the black and white theme that I look at now and just REGRET. WHY, past me. WHY did you think this was good. WHY.
