Alas, no, worked all day! Can't wait!

Well, I hatched my freebies, got one near XXY and a... mess. The mess sold already so I bought a G1 mate for my little cutie. Changed him over to Aether, so as soon as I gene them both, they'll be ready! Sandy sweeties... Nyiri and Mojave

I had a couple dozen eggs stashed away so I hatched them all and tried to see if I could come up with any good scries for any of them. I got three that I think are pretty nice:

I honestly can't decide which of your scries I prefer! I love how Metallic looks on these. One of my above scries has Metallic Peach and I'm really tempted even though it's a gem gene (those Monarchs too...I'm surprised how much I like that gene since I've never liked Butterfly). I could scry way too many Metallic Aethers that I would fall in love with so I'm going to have to be careful with that lol

I prefer the female sprite too btw, although I really like both. I seem to have more trouble scrying males that I like, I guess because of the way colors and patterns end up distributed on them. The female ones feel more balanced.

I definitely want to make those other two as well but I'm going to have to save up more treasure for the genes. I recently spent all my savings on a very expensive familiar. I've now "discovered" all the familiars and awakened them all except the January and February fest ones. And I own them all except for the 2013 Sprites and those really rare old donation ones. I guess that's just going to have to be good enough because I'm not spending a fortune in real cash for those (besides, I'm not even sure I could find anyone who could sell me one). I hope someday they'll bring back the Sprites somehow...I don't understand why those have to stay retired when all the other old fest fams can still be obtained from the site. But anyway, that was my big goal I was working on since I joined FR so I guess I don't have much else to do until they release the new achievement system.

I made a pair and then discovered that the girl is not ready to breed, not before the 18th of April! I already gened her, silly me! I got another breed-ready girl now yet I have to sell the other one first before I can gene her. I bet after all the hassle, when I breed them, they give me one egg, LOL

Which 2013 sprites are you missing?

Oh no! lol I sure hope you get more than one egg after all that. I don't know if I'll ever breed mine; breeding never seems to go all that well for me. And it just fills up my lair/hibden with babies I only sort of want but will never get rid of.

I don't have any of the festival Sprites. They were already hard to obtain when I joined, so I went for the easier fams and of course by the time I got around to collecting the rare ones, they were even more expensive. But luckily I've been able to fully bond with all of them thanks to Fiona.

At least the bonding worked then! Perhaps, one day, they rerelease them!

The pink is definitely my favorite! I just bought a dragon with the same color scheme that I'll ather as soon as I can make some more money! LOL

Those are both lovely! I especially like the first one, she reminds me of cotton candy. :D

My projects are coming along nicely. I have these completed now: Zorlon and Meeba, my Galore dergs. Meeba has eternal youth because I think it displays her particular colors and genes better. Also, Aether hatchies are adorable. Vesna, now with a name! Corium, my new favorite dragon of all. I bought this accent and then went shopping for a dragon to put it on. I got amazingly lucky and found this G1 super cheap on the AH, already an Aether but with basic genes. I think he turned out perfect!

I have all the genes for two more Aether projects except for the breed change scrolls which I'm still saving up for. They're the purple/gold and blue/magenta ones I posted above.

I love Corium, he's just SO pretty. I have a couple of ideas... on HERE I will change his name, he came with it, but I have NO IDEA what I want yet.

Very cute! Stinger looks a bit rustic to me, I like Sparkle or Contour as tert. More quiet. Yet it is good that we all have diff ideas - love the colors, too!

Thanks! Good luck with your eggs! As much as I love Aethers, I'm afraid to breed mine. It always ends up filling my lair with dergs I only kind of like and never get rid of.

I agree, it's wonderful that we all have different tastes; one person's "unlucky" hatch became my treasure! Also, I like Stinger because it's what I think Spines really should be, with the more prominent spikes. Spines is really only good for doing something with bad terts so that "at least they aren't basic" but I like spiky dragons!

Yes, Spines is like Contour, when you want to gene yet don't want to do too much, lol

And I do appreciate having some options like that, but I think they should also make another version of Spines for when you really mean it lol
