You mean with Oranos? Thank you! He's about 450 tomes away from the cap at this point and then I need to leech and adjust his stats x.x hopefully not by too much. Verdugo is already capped, I purposely leave him 1 point below so he can still get exp.
Yep even capped pets still lose. There is a degree of rng and luck baked into every battle. I don't always one shot prodigy, but that just makes it so much nicer the rare chance that I do.
You Won! You have defeated Biting Cake
Dieric earned 3500 EXP Points!
- Only Wesker is crazy enough to OHKO's Prodigy! Don't be discouraged by her! lol. But yes, even capped pets lose, especially if their owner is like me and zones out during BQs only to realize 2 minutes later that Chase has stolen the entire set OTL.
aha, wesker and i go back a ways (though we havent spoken in yonks) so its not discouragement at all, moreso awe! we got talking about her pet jill valentine iirc! big ressie fan
cannot imagine 1HKOing prod, wesker is just built differently from us mere mortals
I can't even imagine doing 1HKOs on some of the challengers....
- Built different, yes, but also built a set different! I can't imagine a set built to OHKO prodigy would actually be particularly effective against prodigy if you failed to get the OHKO. (of course, that makes little difference if you are capped and have lots of scrolls) I 2HKO'd Crawbeast once, but that's about the best I can recall in terms of massive damage against an impossible opponent.
You Won! You have defeated Crawbeast
Baby Shark earned 3500 EXP Points!
I miss the secret and cash shop challengers. 😢 I love new things to battle though. LoL
oh please lend us a soft guiding hand to being an absolute beast in the arena so we may too absolute destroy the blue orb, or at least get an iota close to your greatness
😂 i always see your name as in game wesker so, gotta be respectful. you only usually have 7 minutes to play
You Won!
You have defeated Prodigy
Raxacoricofallapatorius earned 3500 EXP Points!

[edit] You Won! You have defeated Unstable Snow Fairy Sprinkles earned 3500 EXP Points!

You Won! You have defeated Unstable Snow Fairy
Gremlin earned 3500 EXP Points!
LOL yeah my set is not ideal to strategically fight guys like prodigy and menecuda. It's similar to the set I used against the hydragellos to just do massive damage as quickly as possible to quickly get through BQs. I only use it with Verdugo and Oranos since I know they won't die against the tough opponents in BQs.
The funny thing is, it was actually Oranos that 1HKO'ed prodigy recently
Abel - yes, I really expected more of a challenge after all these years the battle coliseum has been around...how disappointing....

When spending exp points, what do you focus on the most? HP, strength, speed, etc? Which one comes first, second, third, and so on, when leveling up your pets? Which do you think matter most when it comes to battling opponents who are higher than your pet? Which helps/hinders in that aspect? I know having certain weapons help, but that'll be a different topic for another day, as I have mostly lower tiered weapons at the moment (mostly tiers 1-3, a few 5 & 6s, maybe one 7 or 8 tiered), but I'm currently saving up sP to obtain higher tiered weapons that would help when my pet gets better stats wise.
Currently, my main battle pet--the one I use majority of the time and the one I'm currently focusing on the most--has the following stats (this is after I've used a crap ton of amulets and exp with some training at the training center):
Level: 559 Health: 1278 Strength: 1003 Defense: 746 Speed: 620 Intelligence: 1171 AP: 73 Tier: 7

HEMI earned 3500 EXP Points!
For your first pet, health and Intel will be your best stats to focus on. You may not have the best scrolls right away, but you at least want to have enough AP to equip them as you get them. Health is the most expensive base stat and buffers enemy blows since you can't block enemy attacks 100% of the time.
Strength, defense and speed all come next. Strength and speed go well together since high speed stops enemy crits and high strength helps end battles faster, but low defense also means you taking more damage from hits.
The spread you have on your T7 looks good. You can focus a little more on HP, maybe bump it up to 1.5- 2k above the other stats. Everything else you can evenly train until you are ready to decide on your final build and what stats you want to focus on.

Everything you've explained, definitely makes sense, and questions that I probably had in the back of my head but couldn't articulate was answered as well. Like I didn't know that high speed stops enemy crits and etc. So, it's helped me to know what works where. And I can now see what areas need the most work.
Honestly, I never realized which stat was the most expensive to least expensive, especially exp wise. But then again, I probably wasn't paying 100% attention and was just trying to get my pet up higher stat wise. So, thank you for pointing that out as well.
Thank you for the suggestions on what I should focus on more on my T7 pet currently and how much higher that's ideal, in which, I shall definitely strive towards doing so!
I hope your day, and week, is Blessed <3

No problem always happy to help :)
If you are planning on training and battling with more than one pet, you can be a little more adventurous with their builds if you want. If there is something you don't like with your first pet and want to change, you could always make the change with your second pet.
I'm Tier three and I cannot get past lvl ten of battle quests & I'm at almost ten AP. What am I supposed to be using :|

For your first pet, what Wesker said is a good starting point. Besides doing your Battle Quest daily will help grow your EXP to be used for stat increases. Besides farming for mage amulets and giving them to The Mage to try to get tomes would be the one way to gain stats in a pinch. Also buying items from the Battle Shop will increase stats too. Doing Shinwa's quests daily you might get lucky by getting a booster item. But it's going to take time to get your pets into a higher tier, but that will eventually come. Don't give up. Welcome to the battle chat.
