hey folks, looking to upgrade my damage output! stats are as follows:

Health: 10998 / 10998 Strength: 10001 Defense: 2462 Speed: 3240 Intelligence: 3209 AP: 200

Mainly using cronus and manical essence(2 crits and two BONAs on them), but its discouraging that i don't one hit some BQ folk. appreciate any help!

I'm far, far, far from any kind of stat expert. But you could potentially look into increasing your speed. Higher speed = greater chance to outpace your opponent = higher chance for critical hits. You obviously have a really good amount of strength, so that will lend you with a lot.

As far as mods go, eye of royalty are also pretty helpful at upping damage a bit.

I feel like even with great stats, there are plenty of BQ opponents that even my capped main can't one-shot. It's no big deal in the long run.

- Cronus and ME are great for general damage, that's what I use on my BQs set. If you are looking for OHKOs Ballista is great, but it's secondary attack is relatively rare (like 20% or less) but when you get it you can probably do around 5k damage without crit. As Chocolate said, Eye of Royalty mods are good for increasing damage output. I would at least swap out one of the two BoNA ones for Parched baguettes, which also provide an anti-freeze blessing and on top of that add 4 damage icons.

Regarding the speed, that is the stat I am focusing on now, defense will be my "weak point". I am still 8k from cap so most of it will be going into speed! Regarding ballistas, i really need to get the item that is the earnable for that, I want to be able to earn my own ballista so it isnt so much of a mortal wound to my sp when i eventually need twin ballistas, lol.

its also comforting to know that i havent done anything particularly wrong with not being able to 1HKO some of the BQ things. I am not from the US so csc challengers are a bit of a difficult thing for me to tackle, what with my currency being so weak all the time. i never consulted the guides as i found them to be a bit overwhelming if i am perfectly honest.

i am pretty sure i have a parched baguette in my vault somewhere, i am pretty hopeless when it comes to modding items.i started battling in 2018 and i still fewl like a fish out of water regarding the semantics of it all!

If you only care about damage output to end BQs quickly, you could also try the bear head bomb that does 105 - 120 icons. In order to do 10k+ damage in a single turn, you need to get a crit from crit strike and a speed crit in the same turn. Having higher speed than your opponent increases the chance of that, but it is still rare to get so don't feel bad about not being able to one shot opponents.

oh moreso i felt super underpowered having to take multiple hits on mid tier guys. got some new mods on my weapons tho so hopefully i see a change! if not it is the whims of battle lmao. tis a [censored] i gave up trying to fully comprehend years ago

- Yeah, there's some mid-tier guys with pretty high HP, you gotta get pretty lucky to one shot them. On a good day I can beat Cursed Effigy in only one hit, but most of the other BQ opponents 20 and higher are going to require more hits, even with a capped pet.

@ KiaArra again, super reassuring to hear since i didnt know if i fucked my stats up. yeah i did speed slowly but i tend to fixate on one stat and bump it up, having 10k str should be enough that i can focus on spd and maybe even some sef although thats going to be my dump stat.

really appreciate yall takin the time to help me with this and show that hey, even capped pets struggle! the side of battle you never see, eh? i know capped pets can pack a whollop bit with my BQs i just zone out with cronus and ME and occasionally shrieks if i get the damned cats. why is it always the cats that chain freeze? i love cats and its not cute ):
