- Looks like your pet is T2, almost T3, so getting to 10 wins will be tough, but not impossible. Keep at it. At that level I would recommend investing more in your pet rather than weapons. Keep training, and make sure to read to them LOTS! Looks like you've only got 5 AP right now, which doesn't give you much to use in the way of scrolls. At low tiers scrolls are your best friend! Light of Sprites scroll is a really great one to use, it's not too pricey and costs 6 AP to equip, so you'll need to read 14 more books to your pet to equip it.

As per my previous post, it's probably more important to focus your resources on building your pet, getting the stats/tier/AP(intel) higher, but this post here: ">https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/889637/Battle-Chat-2018/112/ has a good set of budget weapons per tier that might be handy to keep as a reference as your pet's tier gets higher.

Could someone explain the Soma Tablets to me? They seem to be staples in a lot of people's sets, but per Subetalodge, the chance of freezing and stealing are both low. What am I missing?

- Soma Tablets are a 'Blaster' class weapon (like the recycle blaster), they destroy one of your opponents weapons and turns in into something useless on their set (For Soma it turns an opponent's weapon into an 'empty pill box' which iirc does one fire and one dark damage, far less than what an opponent's weapon would typically deal). It throws a random curse onto your opponent as well. And occasionally when you get that freeze or steal, it's just icing on the cake :D

also worth pointing out often times blasting is far more useful than stealing. having the enemy occasionally waste an attack using a dummy item is often a chance to catch back up on healing
