Unless you are going for the achievements: Gelatin Defender Defeat Mini Gelatins in battle! 1 25 50 100 250 500 1,000 2,500 2,500 gets you a weapon that can be useful in killing the later waves of more difficult challengers.

Which mods are useful are really dependent on the opponent and your weapons. Bona would be good for your swashbuckle and cursed liquid fire torch, but for the scissorbeak and malice might benefit you more with some defensive Marquise crystals.

Freezing scrolls are worthwhile if you can equip multiple. If you could only afford or can only equip one or two, defensive or healing scrolls are better to have.

What happens when we kill all the current jellies? Do we get a wave of the next tier up? Do we get any repeat waves?

I seem to be unable to modify weapons. When I drag the crystal and place in an empty slot, it just floats back up. Am I doing something wrong?

RedNegative The mini gellies are released in waves periodically throughout the event. There are more difficult challengers that will also be released as we progress and eventually the boss battle with Hydragellos.

brokensafety It's not drag and drop. Easiest way is go to your inventory and click the modification crystal you want and choose modify weapon option. You get a page that lists all the weapons in your armory. Click/tap the weapon slot you want the mod in and it will attach to the weapon.

So in the second wave, do we still get to battle Mini Gelatin? Or does it only give you the medium level one gelly?

Usually there'll be waves of the minis throughout the whole event! I think the waves of all the opponents tend to be on an "as needed" basis, so whether there's new waves probably depends on how many people are battling/how fast the waves are going/etc. From what I've seen with past events like this, there's usually definitely enough to go around for people working on achievements!

Well after that first wave I'm at 766 wins. I have been so bad at getting to 2500. these past years...I feel like I will never get there

Managed to get 1200 wins on the mini for the first wave lol I think I should be able to do it given that more numbers of them are available to fight

Missed out on the first wave of minis, was just getting ready to go fight and they were gone. Honestly I am just wondering why this wasn't announced in the news unless I missed something.
