Parcel Force delivered an interesting looking box today - at the moment it's sitting in the porch, but I've made sure Mum knows to take the things out from it carefully (we usually put everything into a bag so the outer packaging box doesn't have to go indoors) ;) Thank you!! :D

That does seem like a trend these days, since mending is good for environment too. I have seen some really nice ones, but generally I prefer it to show as little as possible too. ;)

lol she's welcome. the ironic thing about the toffy is it came from the British store with our hot cross bun order about three days before. I thought I saw the toffy drop in when I stole the foam peanuts from it lol but I was too lazy to take it out. Also I had wanted to do a pinata for you but realism set in and I realized it would be too difficult to send one, hope it stays in tack and doesn't cost a lot. So i thought eh, the toffee is like one of the candy you'd find in a pinata. And it's amusing it came from England to go to the States, then turns around and goes back home LOL

@ Raven Hopefully you will get some more answers soon. Not much happening here.. Just taking care of some boring thing and I have done some journaling. :) I have gotten hooked on solving sudoku and crossword puzzles lately, so been doing that as well.

So the good news, is no fracture. Now onto the bad news: on my left foot, at some point I need to resolve having two excessively long toes. It is affects my balance and how I bare weight, etc. SO I will have to have them shortened at some point. Which involve breaking the bones and bringing them down. The right foot, which is the plantar fasciitis foot has been re-wrapped very tight in a soft cast to relieve the tendon. BUT if in two weeks it still hurts when I remove the soft cast I will have to go in for either a shot and try again OR surgery which will lower the foot arch and solve the plantar fasciitis for good. So... yeah not the best news

the only visible mending I've seen that looked really amazing, was a pair of kids' trousers where they'd got a hole in the knee. Someone had patched a bit of fabric with a superhero on it behind the hole, so it looked like the superhero had broken through the trousers :P

That filter works really well with it :D laughs that's definitely a well travelled toffee ;)

Yay on no fracture, although that sounds challenging with the toe length. Having high arches stinks as it seems to cause so many different problems as well as meaning you can't always find shoes that fit comfortably!

Same here - it wasn't until the running shop did a walking assessment when I needed a pair of running shoes, that I even realised I had high arches, let alone that would be the reason my foot tended to really hurt when I did dance lessons as a kid (flat dancing shoes don't agree with my feet) :K

Wow crazy how it took awhile to find out the problem. Well it looks like i might be going back to the doctor. I was woken from sleep by pain on the top of my foot. I don’t cry from pain much but this is bringing me to tears. I tried a knitting needle under the soft cast in case it was pressure but that only intensified the pain. It has calmed some with ice however

Especially when you think every time I'd gone to the shoe shop for school shoes, they always measured my feet, so surely someone would've spotted it! Awww that definitely doesn't help :( Hopefully it won't be too hard for him to resolve that, as it kind of defeats the object of the soft cast to stop your heel hurting, if all it's doing it moving the pain to the top of your foot!

ooh i love the new ha today <3 well I guess its just as bad as me, I've seen lots of docs for foot problems and no one noticed it :/ yeah right? it woke me 3 times for such awful pain

Well that's worse, as at least mine weren't docs specifically looking at foot problems! I guess they just dismiss it as 'normal' therefore they don't see how it can possibly cause a problem o.O (although when I had those custom insoles made, their assessment reckoned I had low arches, verging on their classification of fallen arches, so now I really don't know! o.O)

That's always horrible when pain wakes you, especially if you can't find a way of getting comfortable afterwards :K are you able to get back to the doc today to see if they can tweak that soft cast to make it less painful, or are they going to make you wait for an appointment?
