We don't do video calls but she posts on Snapchat and we text frequently. So far, she seems pretty happy w/ that hospital down there, even though it's the size of a campus.

Thanks . I know it will...but sometimes I just want to scream 😝 Hubby just called and said to go buy fan at Walmart and he will fix it when he brings the boxes/trash over today (he put it in his car yesterday and went home instead of bringing it over). So there is one issue fixed at least.

So off to Walmart for a fan and soy sauce (pot roast for dinner). And then at 10 I meet to turn in the leftover fireworks product. Tomorrow I have to go to the races and work security in the morning and then Nathan has therapy in the pm.

I don't have FB so the only so the only way to do a video call is through another app that has to be cross platform, since she has an iPhone and I have Android. We just never really got into that and I've honestly never seen her use facetime, either. (I've used a video call w/ other Android users plenty of times, but unless I'm drunk, it gets kind of boring, lol)

Hah yea. I like videoing with my dad, but it does get boring to me, I just wondered if it was ME or what because he likes to talk talk talk and tell stories that to be honest I do not have much interest in (some of it is, a lot of it isn't), he likes to go on about his truck he is restoring (which he's leaving to my brother as brother is a mechanic and into old cars), and his gun collection because he's leaving those to me for my kids as they've been taught proper gun use vs the other grandkids NEITHER of which i have any interest in and BOTH of which I've heard a million times. He also talks about his books, which is more interesting to me, but again, i've heard about it a billion times, so.... gets boring. I like SEEING him on the video calls and chatting a bit (when I get a chance, because he usually overruns me if I try to tell him something, he just keeps talking or switches subjects when I'm trying to reply to something he said - I don't know if he doesn't HEAR me or what. he does have hearing aids and difficulty hearing).

Yeah, short video calls are kind of cool. It would be a little tough to deal w/ repetitive stories, though. :P Do you guys live far from each other?

I'm watching public freakout videos. People are just insane, I swear.

My dad lives in Utah, I'm in Georgia, so yea we are far apart ;) He is 72yrs old so definitely in the repetitive story stage ;)

Hahah I can just imagine. People can do such stupid things. A person is usually smart, people in general tho...hahahah. its nuts.

So totals (general totals, not exact totals) are in, and it looks like we got between $12-13k profit from the stand this year. Less than last year. But maybe we got less product. I dunno what the difference was. Either that or I'm remembering wrong :P I tell you what, if I had the credit, I'd try to run a stand for my own profit - tho I would have to pay the taxes on it as income hahaha. New Years we usually get about half of what we got for July. And I will admit, the location the group has is a great location and we've had it for years, so we've built up a customer base. We are always one of the few stands that always sells almost all of our product. I see other groups bringing back so much stuff, and I can't believe it, because we sell our stuff. I wonder if its because they aren't open the hours we are? A lot of stands are closed til evening or only open on weekends because the people who run them don't open for whatever random reasons (my guess is, real life jobs, no extra workers) So that could affect their sales. I have people come up to our stand and go YES! You are open, this other stand I tried is always closed :P

Anyway enough babble about the fireworks stand hahaha. I need to go do some schoolwork.

Running around like crazy guys, sorry! Isabelles birthday was so fun, she had a good party. We're going tomorrow to try their new blueberry things, because we won't be home for the rest of the festival.

Ran around today, after the library (storytime was great!) and the first book club meeting, we ran around EVERYWHERE. Walmart pickup, target pickup, michaels pickup, ran into Sams, the goodwill. Lily is leaving for camp tomrrow night, Frell on Sunday morning, and it turns out no one has anything :P We needed new sleeping bags... but then one was sold out, so they're shipping one. It's supposed to get here Saturday, i really hope so.

Lily needed underwear and shorts, Frell needed a dress shirt and sneakers. Plus, school supplies are already on their super sale for the year, so I picked those up.

Frell is now babysitting, I'm going to take Lily and Levi (and Iz, tonight!) to youth group. Doing a campfire at the parsonage, Iz is going to be Frell :P Tomorrow orchard, then they need to finish packing... and make sure they have everything they're taking on vacation but not to camp, because they get home late Friday night, and we leave Saturday morning!

Also had to get a new suitcase, since we didn't have enough... and Iz needed a new carryon suitcase too. But now that she has it, she just brought out everything and is packed for vacation already. Maybeeeee the kid has too many clothes :P

Blah. Ok its still good, but blah. I just got an 85/100 on my Chapter 11/12 quiz. I swear to you, it repeated a question I got wrong in a homework quiz, because the CORRECT answer is NOT listed. My notes say "7yrs increase" - the answers are Not at all, 4 yrs increase, 4 yrs decrease and 8yrs increase. By logical reasoning, then the correct answer chosen should be 8 as its closest to 7. But i got it wrong in the homework, so I chose 4yr increase for the test, and I'm pretty sure I got it wrong again (I got 3 wrong - one I totally guessed at anyway so I wasn't surprised - but I do not know WHICH questions I got wrong as it won't let me see them in the tests). Still have another retake of the test. Dunno. Still got a 95 in the class ;) So maybe not worth my time/effort to try again.

Dinner is so freaking late!! We did have a late lunch (1pm) but I've been doing schoolwork and forgot about starting the cornbread earlier, so its cooking now and other stuff is microwavable. Pot roast is done, has been long since and is on warm in the crockpot lol Oh well.

[edit] 733am Good Morning all. I get to go play security (ok, door opener) at the races this morning for a few hours. Yay? :P I don't HATE the position I do (its the only one I accept) but its JULY! And I'm outside in the heat AGAIN. At least my spot has a cool breeze and a water fountain, plus I can go inside to the bathroom any time I want (ands its AC in there) - I stand "guard" at the condo's at the racetrack. People actually LIVE there year round, and other people just rent out the condos during the races (2 a year lately) (NASCAR races). The youth group has been doing security at the races for years longer than the fireworks. I never got involved in it until the other mom in the group broke her foot and needed help covering her spot she'd always done, the condo ;) Now I do it whenever she cant, but I split the time with someone else because I am NOT standing there for 12hrs!!! -I say I am a door opener, because in reality, tho we are not required to hold the door or anything, it gets very boring just standing outside the condos looking at people going in/out, so why not hold the door for them? :P We are there basically to keep random people (race go-ers) from entering the condos as they aren't supposed to go there unless invited.

[edit]422pm Been home since about 1240, my replacement showed up early ;) Skimmed over the reading (as I have discovered that most of the reading is actually directions on how to actually work IN a document - which I don't have the document, as teacher never gave us access to download any documents that I am aware of!), wrote down all my steps in the practice, and just now finished the exam for computer class section 1 of 4 for Excel. Got interupted by Orkin to do pest control, and a thunderstorm :P Also by my stupid school site logging me out while I was writing instructions. So I logged out the rest of the way, played farmville for like 10mins and then went back to do the exam after that LOL

[edit] Saturday 8pm Finished section 2 and 3 for Excel. One more section left. I hope its like section 3 and not 1 & 2. (3 only had 10 questions lol) [edit] Sunday 440pm Ok so blah. Yea it was 36 questions - Done now with Excel. PowerPoint will be next. Not sure if I wanna do that first (only 3 sections and I have a general idea of how to do things thanks to my history class lol) or do my Psych chapters first. Ah well I'll figure it out later or tomorrow morning sometime. I do have to take Nathan to the orthodontist tomorrow too.

What did you decide to do, between powerpoint and psych?

Both big kids are dropped off at their camps. I realized this morning that it's so much easier mentally to just.. DO the things instead of arguing with them.. but I'll keep arguing with them because I want them to grow up and be able to do the things.

But seriously, after only one night of me doing the dishes (Oh god, I almost MURDERED Lily when I cleaned around the sink, she's lucky she wasn't here), and watering the plants twice a day like they're supposed to be. IDK my brain is in a good place :P

Oh well I'm going to do psych. Powerpoint/comp has 1 more day to complete all work, so might as well start with whats due first eh? Not that 1 day makes much of a difference LOL

Yaaaahhhh, I redid my chore chart (we haven't really used it in years)- I spoke with Nathan about looking it over and redoing it together and he just kinda shrugged....so I just redid it on my own, and placed it where he can SEE it, and I'm just going to do what I assigned to myself....and remind him to do HIS chores....and only nag on the things that NEED to be done - like dishes or taking out the trash. I'm tired of retelling him constantly to do stuff...like you tho, I want him to know what to do/how to do it. To be honest, at this point, he DOES know, he just chooses not to, so he is living in a pigsty (his bedroom, I refuse to let the rest go that far) and I try my best to ignore it and only make him take the trash out of there, tho I do sometimes ask him to clean it up enough he can vacuum...... It doesnt help the cats sleep all over anything that is left out (like clean clothes or blankets/towels) so there is fur every freaking where too....including the couches, which I have assigned as a chore - to vacuum the fur off the couches as needed when cleaning the LR. Ha. Like that'll get done. But i'm going to attempt it, at least for myself. I'm kind of thinking/hoping that having a set of SMALL chores to accomplish daily during the week I have the BIG chore (for instance, if I have the Living room, I've divided the chores into 3 daily sets of things to do - like clean off the furniture, pick up the floor/shoe shelf, and vacuum the LR & Hallway - so on Monday I'd pick up the floor, Tuesday I'd clean up the furniture (tv stand, desk, couches, etc), Wed I'd vacuum).....and maybe I'll feel more accomplished and keep things done. Instead of trying to do it all every day.

That's not going to happen :P

I was the couch covers occassionally, but I have to cover the couches in throw blankets while tha thappens and it's just such a hassle overall :P

I will say, after only two days of me watering the garden instead of LIly "Yeah, I did it!", it's looking SO PERKY. It's incredible! AND no dirty dishes in the cupboards!

Yea lol I have the tops of the couches covered in some old towels right now. Mama cat sleeps there. Cheddar tho, sleeps in the seats. So even tho I've won against one cat on the couch, I'm still fighting the other. I've used throw blankets too but somehow most of them have disappeared....and no one likes them on the couches but me....which isn't as big of an issue now that it's just me and Nathan, since he is usually in his room or the "game room" (we turned the other bedroom into a game room instead of it being out here or in his bedroom.)

Eew dirty dishes in the clean cabinets? Yea that would so annoy me. It makes me glad I've got a dishwasher, tho sometimes that leaves residue and I've got to clean it out and add more rinse aid

Oh, and sections 1 and 2 of excel had 35 and 49 questions....😝 Word still has had the most, 61 questions for it's first section!!!!

Yeah, dirty dishes, always. She's the worst at cleaning them. I don't know why, she does know what to do and how. She just.. doesn't.

I know kids (and husbands) don't care as much as we do but like.. I wish they could care at all.

The other day, Lily didn't wash one of the cups from teh orchard, so I made her drink out of that one. Well, she didn't drink out of it, of course, but then she had to wait all day for someone else to share with her, and she wasn't amused at all.

I was less amused when I opened it to get it filled. :/

Nathan(and the others) sometimes does that especially with the things that have to be hand washed. It got so I would toss it back in the dirty dishes again to be washed again ... They hated that. But I'm not using a dirty dish.- cleaned dishes often sit in the diashdrainer around here instead of being put away....(since we don't towel dry things-we air dry lol)

Eew gross. What was left in it? I don't care too much unless it's milk. Milk gets nasty and is horrible to wash out if it's been left to sit. Anything milk related honestly- like hot chocolate mix even if made with water. Yuck. But koolaid, tea or water isn't so awful, just annoying.

I have sometimes seriously debated getting rid of all but 1 cup/plate/bowl etc per person many times. Never did it tho.

It was a strawberry slush made with real strawberry puree.. for almost a week!

I always put everything in the dish strainer after I found it dirty, because if we put it in the sink nothing was done about it.

Just.. UGH.

Ugh yea that would be nasty.

[edit] July 13 @ 845am So finished psych module - 1 Module left now! :) Got 100 on both chapter homework's, the work ethics and a 95 on the chapters quiz. Currently have a 95.3 in the class. (this excites me because the teacher said if we maintained an A all term, we can be exempted from the final exam!) :P Next up : Comp - Powerpoint module. 3 sections.

Speaking of making things, my mind has also been spinning with what to do when school starts back up. We were told back at the end of school that the new ooohhh whats the word I'm looking for? theme? maybe. Anyway "Saddle up and Learn" is the slogan. So one of the preK teachers said to me, that me and the other para (her para) could come up with bullitin board ideas for august based on that. So I've kind of come up with a barn (maybe?) for the door, and a pasture style thing for the board - with horse heads - I dunno. Sounds funny when I write it out but I took screenshots of some things I found online and I think it will work....if I can make the horse heads look right :P I dunno.

Iz and I went running around today. Oil change, pick up Alex a bathing suit, grab her some headphones, went to Kohls to spend the Kohls cash we got. Clearance is still an extra half off, so we got quite a good deal on what we got! ... then i got home and realized almost all of it was for Frell. Oh well :P Got Lily a dress for Christmas pictures. Sent her a picture, and she sent back a video that just said "It. is. JULY". insert crying laughing emoji here

But Christmas pictures are October 9th so like.. that's not that far away! :P

I want to go to Ross. I need more work pants (we are supposed to wear, according to the handbook "twill style" pants) - is anything still made out of twill? :P I just get slack style pants but pull up elastic waist. I'm hoping Ross will have some not too expensive. I can't find any at walmart. All they have that is pull on elastic waist is joggers/jeggings/leggings and I can't wear that to work. My pants I get for work are USUALLY polyester-ish material. Tho some I got this past year are cotton and not really supposed to be work pants, but when I only have 3-4 pair of work pants, I wear 'em anyway. What they gonna do, send me home? hah. Go ahead. But you better let me have 2-3 hrs for laundry lol Some older polyesterish pants are wearing out. The newer-ish cotton ones are starting to feel too big. Which - is a good thing I guess - but is strange. I am maybe losing weight? Won't know til I go to the dr again because I don't have a scale.

You do your christmas pictures in October? Is that so everyone has a better chance to get together and get all the different ones? (I LOVE your photo shoots, ALL the time!! Wish I could do it more with my kids/family) - Since I can't, my Christmas pictures are taken while/after decorating the tree :P Also, yea, how is it already the middle of July anyway? It took me, at least an hour/(hour and a half?) to write the instructions out for the 39 items. (Because I have to listen to it explain it, while writing it down, and then "apply" it - do it myself). The test itself probably will take 20ish min to do. lol I only have to actually read the directions and DO it.
