Oh a beach sounds great. I am right now really wishing I'd put the pool up just to go sit in cool water. Or even the hot tub because i could turn the heater off and it'd be cool. (We did put the hot tub up, but since its an inflatable one, it apparently has a hole, and we haven't figured out where yet, so its deflated and empty again).

The Crimson Vault. Book 2 of a series by some author I found interesting on kindle :P Kind of like, magical powers from another realm type of book, medieval style living - rulers, lower class etc. When I read for fun I just look until I find something interesting and then read it if I can get into it. Sometimes I can't get into it. My favorite authors are Mercedes Lackey, Lois McMaster Bujold and Anne McCaffrey. Mostly fantasy. (with a little science fiction thrown in)

As for the fireworks stand, we usually open for about 12hrs a day. (930-930 or until we have no more customers). We are there usually about 2 weeks in summer, sometimes up to 3 weeks depending on the timing. And for 4-6 days for the New Years sale after Christmas.

Some of the other people are wanting to reduce the hours, because there are times we don't have any customers. Me and Miss Ann (the sick lady) are usually the ones who come open up at like 930am, we are usually the only ones there unless Mr Jimmie joins us (he usually will - but he is older than SHE is!!) or if I bring Nathan. - Around 4-6 is when someone else usually comes in. Sometimes the older girls would come in at 1, depending on if they have other stuff to do or not. The gentleman that used to stay every night got in a fight with Miss Ann about closing up before closing time, and then he passed late last year also, so I do not know who will be stepping up to be there in the nighttime with us. Because Mr Jimmie cannot drive after dark.

It can get pretty dead after 7pm, especially during weekdays - but then there are the times when you sell $200+ to a single person at 9pm. So....I dunno. I don't mind sitting there but apparently everyone else thinks its a waste. (Not like they are paying anyone to sit there tho, so its only a waste of the volunteer's time) - but everyone else has a daytime job they work and they want to go home not sit at the fireworks stand with no business. I do understand that.

I'll have to look her up :) I haven't had a lot of free reading time as I've been reading so much for school this past year. Last summer when I first got kindle unlimited I spent HOURS reading and finding books. Now I'm lucky if I get to read for fun for maybe an hour a day or less :P Depends on my mood too tho, sometimes I just want to curl up and read and other days I just want to play online, and sometimes I just want to lay down and do NOTHING. :P

I did all my quests this morning except battle and drills. I then went and did the shopping for the 4 day trip with the girls. Bought things like cereal, granola bars, sandwich stuff, chips, cookies, drinks. So we could not have to worry about one person watching 7 girls (ok, 2 of them ARE adults at age 20 but still) while the other goes to get fast food. I bought for my little girls. Told Katie to bring her own. And Krissa, the other mom thats going, is shopping for her and her 2 girls. (they have a LOT of food allergies anyway, which also makes going out for fast food that much harder). I will be reimbursed for it, so I didn't mind doing the shopping.

So the AC was leaking out the emergency drain again...so we played in the attic again...then Nathan went to play video games and discovered the couch was wet in that room - the ceiling is wet too - its been leaking there also aparently. And we cannot see/tell how the heck it was leaking in that room. (its the room below the AC unit in the attic). I dunno what to do other than what we already have - we've moved things trying to see in the attic, we've sucked all the water out and blown out the pipe the best we are able.

Oh no, sorry to see that, Kat!! Are yo referring to a window unit AC? Does it have enough of a tilt out the window? My daughter's ooollld one needs more of a tip than a standard, newer one does or it leaks all over the floor.

The wind off the lake was really nice but man it was a roaster! Plus the water was still rather chilly so it was hard to get in the water each time, lol. I forgot the chairs so we laid on the sand and it was packed down really hard for some reason, so it was pretty uncomfortable. Man made sand isn't very soft anyway.
It was really nice being together up there w/ Bria. We haven't gone in probably over a year, not last summer but the one before.

Worn out. Bria is making some food b/c she was "starving", even though we did eat before we left. I"ll eat later after I have a few drinks. :P

No it's a whole house ac unit.I have central heat/air. The part inside is up in the attic. That's what leaking.

Omg I LOVE Toothless!!! I literally just watched the first and second one (again) on Sunday. :P. I hope they put the 3rd one on Netflix soon, as it used to be on there.

Now that I watched it....I don't think I ever watched the first one. Now watching the 2nd.,. No idea what I have watched. I remember bits and pieces of something tho I do remember a white toothless. Nathan says that's the third one. We are watching on Netflix.

[edit] 810am morming all one thing after another i swear. :P So last night, I was told "hey the sheet covers came in yay" then was told "crap they are the wrong size" - so now we have to hole punch all the sheets and we don't have a hole punch big enough for that. So someone gets to go to walmart this morning (not me, THEY have the scrapbook!) and we'll have to finish it tonight after we get to the hotel, sometime. Either during practice or after all the events are over for the night. yay. Of course, i DID go to walmart this morning (can I just set up a bed there? Sometimes I feel like I live at walmart) - to get Nathan a few things. And of course, forgot one of them. So I'm either going back or over to the DG. Haven't decided which one yet. So I woke at like 4am for some stupid reason, and couldn't fall back asleep. Guess cuz I know how much we have to do today. I have now gotten almost everything out to the kitchen/LR, have the cooler packed with the drinks (there is a fridge at the hotel but I'll be putting milk, lunchables, lunch meat, jelly, mayo, etc in there, so cooler for drinks) and am working on making sure I don't leave anything here that we might need. Then I get to go down to Jackson to the pawn shop to see the man with the money (hahaha!! he is reimbursing me for the groceries and giving me money to buy new mascots this year) and then back to the lodge to pack all the dresses/hoop skirts/poodle skirts and whatever else we need from there (random crap-yes I have a list). AND then the girls are supposed to meet me at 3, so hopefully I'll have room left in the car to throw their bags in and we can go to Macon. Phew.

I've got a busy day today, VBS meeting, then picking D&E up, running to open the library, storytime and craft.. home for a bit, then there's an IMPACT meeting tonight before youth group, then youth group ofc. But I can go home for youth group :P

Yea, thats only part of the day after we get to Macon I have to get dinner and eat, unpack the car into the hotel room, help with the scrapbook at some point. And we have FUN NIGHT - starting at 7pm. So we do the banner parade (remember, I said each group does a banner, scrapbook, and bank) - meaning each group walks around and shows off their banner and presents it to the judges for judging. Then they get hung up. We also do individual craft competition - this year that is the poodle skirts - so each girl gets to go out and show off & present to judges her poodle skirt. (in age order, so little ones go first, biggest ones go last). THEN they do skits - we are not doing a skit. We say we should every year, but we never figure one out or practice one. So bleh. Don't care about the skit anyway. There is usually a few announcements, yadda yadda. And this year (I got told last night!!!) they are having an ice cream social after the skits? BEFORE the grand officers and grand representatives have their end of year parties/get togethers

HOW LONG DO THEY WANT THIS NIGHT TO LAST!!! (grand officer party often is until like 1030-11pm) because the other stuff doesnt' usually end til at least 9. Also who had the bright idea to feed 4-20 yr olds ICE CREAM before BEDTIME??? Are you serious???? How do I get an 8yr old, 9yr old and 10yr old to sleep in a strange place after you wind them up? It was already going to be hard before they added ice cream. (and thats just the first NIGHT. We have three more FULL days!!) - it won't end until like 4pm Sunday.

Oh and add in that Shane has had a package come in and he wants to try and meet me in Jackson before I leave??? I told him if he missed me he was out of luck.

I don't like staying up late either. But there isn't much choice here 😝 I am normally asleep by 10. My little did good on their skirts. There was 6 in that age group. My daughter made one too, 7 in her age group. Can't wait to see how they placed (Saturday night) [Edit] 6am They fell asleep around 11. I didn't until around 12. I hate sleeping in hotels. Have to be downstairs before 8. Ugh. To set up the mascots for judging. And the big girls have to start practice (some of them, I have no idea which as we didn't get our schedules yet, they ran out of ready-made goody bags they put them in.). We will get that this morning And thanks goodness, it was a grab an ice cream and go. Popsicles, ice cream sandwich etc. All melty of course. What a mess.

I've barely been able to see any forums since yesterday. Every now and then one will load but mostly they don't so I don't even bother most of the time. Frustrates me too much.

Food share day today!

Started the day by weeding and pressing a million more shirts.. D wanted sibling shirts for these three, and mom and dad shirts for Alex and I. I hadn't made any to not make Lynne happy but.. whatever. Made, now!

And then she designed a shirt, and E did too. So I cut and weeded those this morning. Frell pressed.

D and L are making cookies to take to the food pantry. Two people always bring lunch, and normally there's snacks and stuff. The kids are coming to help pack bags, then I told them they can go home. E is babysitting tonight, too. Alex will bring them up there, since I'll still be at the food share.

At least it wasn't a sundae bar, Kat! :P We cancelled youth group for last night though, since there was a tornado warning and uh.. I didn't want to go.

Today will be interesting!! My dad is in Griffin (came from Utah). Is driving down here. Today is Katie's Majority Service. She "graduates" from the youth group. Today I have to leave the pledges in the care of the other people's and hope it all goes well. It should. I wanted to go out to lunch with my dad but I just really don't feel I should since Miss Ann is not here. The 4th girl will arrive at 1, with her grandparents and mom. At 230 we have the final competitions (southern Belle is one! They are so adorable in their dresses!) Then at 6 we have the banquet dinner, awards night and dance.

I left the meeting last night at like 945 because my girls had already fallen asleep once on the chairs around 730. I woke them up for the most interesting part and left during the beginning of the boring part (speeches). We were back in our room by 10-1015pm and they were all asleep before 1030.
