Yes, the pond does help me get most of my carnival tickets. I'm really bad at Bluff so I can't get carnival tickets from it. I do try to do the bathhouse most days.
I'm missing lots of the carnival prize shop items. Since I want to get all the wearables, plushies, bean bags, books, food, and any other collectible I basically need to get almost everything from the shop eventually.
Oh geeze that is a lot! At least it is doable (is that a word??? LOL) eventually :) I only want a few items thankfully. I don't mind playing the games, but I hate using wiz tokens.
Yes, it is doable, but it will take time. I do the wizard quests each day and I do the pond as much as I can. I let the tickets build up and buy a few items here and there when I get extra time. It's the same for all of the other shops on here. That's why I am always particularly active when the events giving out special shop tokens and coins are going on. Since I want to complete as much of the collections I can feasibly do, it will take quite a bit of work.
I have lots of carnival tickets because I never buy anything from the shop except maybe the occasional new item that's cute. I don't like most of the stuff in the shop. Hope they have some interesting skins this year. I don't really like survival except for the challenge of seeing how many new skins I can get before it ends.

I need to do more wiz quests, but I just get soooooo bored! I can't help it! I have been re-watching dance moms for some odd reason, and I keep getting distracted by it. I wander off to watch an episode and don't come back lol. I forgot how crazy these people were!
I love all of the cutesy items and can't wait to see all the new food! I can't remember if there is any battling or not.
I don't actually own a television, I use my computer to watch tv. I have my laptop setup beside my desktop computer. That way I can watch tv from one while playing on the other. If I'm not watching tv then I'm reading or listening to a book. I can never just be doing one thing at a time.
I am watching it on my comp on Hulu. I only have the one comp unfortunately :(
My laptop is about 8 years old, but it still works well enough for watching tv. My issue is more about my internet connection. I live in the middle of nowhere and there isn't any cable internet available. Extremely slow DSL is all that is available, which is really annoying at times when it takes over an hour to watch a 40 minute show because of the video buffering.
Ugh slow internet is just awful! I just got a new modem that is supposed to make my internet faster, but who knows. I am a little nervous about hooking it up. It came with all these cables and things. I hate dealing with stuff like that!
Yes, slow internet is annoying. I spend all day at work with fast internet and then I come home to deal with it being about 10 times slower. At least it's better than dial up though so it definitely could be worse.
Oh yeah dialup is the worst 0_0 I had that way back when I first got a computer and I hated it!!
Will there be a shark survival board? Disappointed that the VIP program broke since I always pay extra to get a strain I haven't had. Can't remember, what do we do with the flowers besides place them at the memorial?

Yup! Just hopped on and will crate one now! :)

It's so sad that there's people like that out there, they had to have known they hit you. I had my parked vehicle hit on campus years ago and the damage was obvious from the end of the parking lot, but no note from whoever hit it. Some people just suck.
I've been so tired this week, can't sleep through the night b/c I'm constantly getting up to go to the bathroom. Last Sunday, I ended up taking a long nap in the recliner, and then Thursday I ended up taking a 4-hour nap. I might try sleeping in the recliner tonight since Chris is gone for drill this weekend.
I also need to stop distracting myself and get to work on making burp clothes. I have all the material, just need to get pieces cut out and sewed together.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
That's true, we are saving money that way because I'm sure any drywall company would charge more for materials. Chris's dad still never gave us a time, just texted us that he was still available to help that weekend. We ended up not having him come because we had shopping to do in the morning and Chris was tired from a long week at work. I had told Chris though that I wasn't providing food for his dad if he showed up at noon. It's pretty bad that apartment owners don't care enough about the upkeep of their buildings. That was pretty similar to the one I lived in, things were only updated when all tenants moved out, but I think all they did was repaint walls, furnishings were only replaced if they were damaged or missing.
I'd love to buy some outfits from Walmart that have Winnie the Pooh characters on them or Baby Yoda, but I can't justify the price for an outfit that will be worn for a short time. I'm sure if a person looked hard enough they could find Disney-themed diapers. Now that is a cute kitchen. I wonder how much of that stuff could be found on Amazon?
The thrift store that I buy most baby clothes from has used bottles sitting on a shelf, so who knows how many people have touched them. They could at least put them in a plastic bag or something to help keep them cleaner. I'd be soaking them in bleach and then sticking them in the dishwasher for a few cycles. So far, MIL has given us a large box and a smaller package of size 1 diapers. Chris has drill this weekend and is staying with his parents...I'm assuming they are going to try sending home another package of diapers (hopefully they don't jump up to size 2). I told Chris is they do, just conveniently forget to take it with you. We already have enough baby stuff to get organized since I have totes of baby clothes to be used throughout the year. The front of the baby quilt from MIL will probably have some kind of embroidery on it too. Hopefully, it isn't the same as my nephews. My mom plans on making 2 baby quilts, one with animal fabrics that match our pets and the other one will have photos of our pets and Chris and I printed on fabric. My mom also took Chris and I shopping a few weeks ago to get baby stuff that we needed. She ended up spending $315, which was way more than either of us expected, but we now have bottles and pacifiers, the convertible changing table we wanted, and other things we had on the registry. I was able to remove at least 11 things from the registry.
It's a big part of life and it's a lesson that I learned pretty early on as a child (perks of growing up on a farm). It seems like they already have a decent sleep schedule with their newborn too. In bed by 9 or 10, wakes up at midnight or 1, then wakes up again at 4 or 5. Guess that will be the youngest BIL outside with the dog because I know my MIL is never going to miss a chance to hold a baby. Chris and I are hosting D&D next month and I'm betting MIL will bring the dog along (she'll also be watching my nephew). I highly doubt she enjoys car rides anymore since it takes her so long to sit or lay down because her joints are bad. It will make it harder for Chris and I to set boundaries in place, most likely, because we'll always get compared to BIL&SIL (they let us visit after this many days or they let us babysit, etc.) SIL and BIL have been together for 5 years, married for 4. This BIL is MIL's favorite, so she never got upset with him for living with SIL while they were dating (whereas she got pretty upset with Chris for living with me when we were dating).
Math was easy for me in high school, but then I struggled with it in college during tests. That's how it was for me with Chemistry in college, I'd study and study for tests and then barely remember anything I studied. Found out later that I had test anxiety because I'd do well with assignments and in-class quizzes but almost bomb the tests. Kids were mean when I went to school too, they were the worst in grade school. By high school, the kids that bullied me finally realized that I just ignored them. I'll keep online school in mind for mine. Chris and I already have plans to homeschool through the grade school years.
I wouldn't be surprised if I manage to lose my wristband, they always put it on too loose. Though maybe, since the wristbands have sensors, they won't be made of paper. Yes, it's great that they take more precautions, I've read some horror stories of MILs trying to take babies. We mostly wanted to make sure they had food that they didn't have to prep, just scoop some on a plate, heat it up and eat. We didn't make it with an ulterior motive to guarantee a visit, we told them multiple times that we didn't need to come in (we ended up visiting for maybe 30 minutes). Chris and I are also hoping that people do the same for us, drop off casseroles to make the first few weeks easier as we settle into a new routine. I hope the in-laws follow our ground rules too. The big ones are no kissing, no photos unless they ask us first, and no walking in and going straight for the baby. I think the main issue we'll run into is that our expectations don't line up with their expectations and they (mostly MIL) will get butt-hurt over it.
MIL pulled a new attention grab on FB a few days ago. Thursday was Chris's birthday, and instead of just wishing him a happy birthday on his profile, she had to make a separate post tagging Chris. She started off saying 29 years ago he made her a mom and then had to mention that he's soon going to be a father before she finally wished him a happy birthday. That led to people commenting happy birthday on her post, which Chris never saw because he turned off notifications for her post. We aren't even sure if this year she'll go off FB for lent.
I know! You know they felt it!! Dang that stinks for you too :( people suck sometimes!
Oh I remember that all too well! Deff sleep when you can, and however you can. I had to come up with a lot of different ways to sleep.
That is a great idea! It is amazing how something that small and simple can cost so much.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Did he ever show up? Sad that he couldn't give an exact time. Is he that busy? I don't blame you at all! It is really crappy! Our apartment is dumpy, but we still have to pay the same rent.
I know what you mean. I mostly had a bunch of onesies and sleepers. I just had a few really cute outfits for her to go out in. No clue about the kitchen. I am sure a lot of it can be bought through Disney, but I would hate to see the prices 0_0
I just couldn't bring myself to buy used bottles. Just feels so weird! A plastic bag would have helped a little bit at least. I don't want to think about how many people touched them. Did they send any diapers? Yeah you don't need more stuff just sitting around and taking up space. Awe the ones from your mom sound super cute and deff more personal!! Oh yay :D that is amazing! It is always great to check things off the list!
It is great that they were able to get on a schedule so quickly! I am guessing they wont leave him home alone with the dog. The poor dog :( sounds miserable! Well if they have much freedom at their house then they can just go there instead! I hate people like that. Very hypocritical of her.
I was never good at taking tests unless they let me use notes. When I took "notes" I basically rewrote the whole dang book lmao! Online classes made everything so much easier. They knew what to teach and she basically had regular classes. All the kids in the class would be online (they used something called Blackboard) and the teacher would be online too. It was taught like a regular class. The kids could ask/answer questions and go through the daily lessons. Plus if they need extra help all they had to do was email the teacher and they always answered within 24 hours. The only part I hated was having to go out once year for the state testing. That was a pain in the rear, but at least it was only a few times. The good deff outweighed the bad!
They are way better then the usual armbands. The extra security was deff a comfort! It is such an important time in your life. You shouldn't have to worry about safety. OMG that is just awful 0_0 Bringing food is always a great way to help out. You guys are going to be wiped out until you get everyone settled. She can get as butthurt as she wants as long as she follows the rules. She needs to learn how to put your needs/wants ahead of her own!!
Wow! That just seems so rude and makes it look totally self-serving! Not very heartfelt :(What happened to people picking up a phone and talking to each other????
Hey back into the Shark Tank :)
How was everyone's Survival? Did you get everything you wanted? Up next is Masquerade. What are you hoping for (besides a plot, lol. I keep hoping for one soon myself)?
[item=Dappled Unicorn]
[item=Great White Shark]
Hewwo everyone!
Hope everyone else is doing well! Sharkiehugs to you all!
That's a crazy amount, congrats!! Just in time for the gelatin war hopefully soon. It feels satisfying to build up a lot and use a bunch of boosters at once. Did you find a way to use them faster? I tried refreshing but it kept giving me errors and I had to use them one at a time. I put my second battle pet on the survival wrestlers before it ended but I couldn't defeat the shadow. I ended up getting 11 skins this year as well which is the most ever in one year, I collect them and want to get them all. I own that wig you suggested for the gummy skin so I'll have to see. I saw a lot of people wishing for the gummy bear/worm hair to be an item though so fingers crossed. Unique/niche items like that are fun.
Thanks! Yeah, it was definitely nice to get a boost like that, and I'll need to try to remember to do it again at some point after building my tokens back up.
There is a way to do it faster, I'll put it under the spoiler tag. Credit to for telling me about it, I think they've posted about it in the Subeta discord before too.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
1. use first booster
check URL and c/p the ending part of it it should look like this &act=stat&petid=5931752
go back to invent and click next booster the url should look like this https://subeta.net/item.php?n_id=14086
(not a unique ID, just the item id)
paste the &act=stat&petid=5931752 at the end of the URL of the item id url
refresh and win
And nice on the skins! I think I got like 9 of them myself, so definitely a pretty good year with the extra time. I also hope to be able to get all of them at some point, but it will probably take a few more years at least to get to that point. Once Escargloom finishes, I'll only be missing 12 skins, so we're getting there slowly but surely, haha.
Once my current skin finishes I will have gotten 8 skins in total for this year. Are the vial ones only able to be done during survival also, or can they be done at any time?
I got all of the collectibles except for the food items from the Lamour Parlor. Over the next few days I will use my quest and shop profits to buy the stuff I need from the Zombie Den also. We'll see how long it takes to finish that up.
I'm looking forward to the Masquerade starting. I don't think I've been around during a plot for it though so having one this year would be really fun. I can hope. Either way it'll be nice to get trinkets for the shops. There's so many items to get.
