That halberd is insanely good for a 5th win weapon. Played around with it for a bit, 60 base icons when the opponent is under about 30% health? Sheesh. Curse prevents scroll usage.

[edit] Sorry, 45 icons under about 30%, looks like 60 under maybe 15-20? Or the 60 icon is a chance hit. Gonna test it a little more and make the info more organized for those who want it.

Thats some unfortunate custom code that I think makes the thing pretty bad overall.

It's weird that it kicks in at 25% instead of 20%, so that the color of the health bar would be an indicator, but I checked it on abox and I definately got the third stage in between 20 and 25% so it probably is 25%.

- I think you probably have the optimal set up for not having a ME. I think you would be able to do it with an ME pretty easily though. I think you either just need to have some luck with your set up or borrow an ME.

[edit] NVM OHS and Ether might be the best non-ME weapons. I thought it did more magma, but it doesn't

Seems like the curse only procs in the under 50% attacks, seems like decent activation rate though.

I disagree, it’s better than the current cheap light blockers. But is also a finishing weapon. Under 25% hp for some opponents is still like 25k health. You get: 60 base icons + 3 EoR = 78 + (3*2.16) = 84.48 + 3.75 (curse dmg @ 25% activation, but I think it’s higher) = 88.23

Which puts it right next to the godly weapons in terms of damage output. The block under that threshold is also better than the spork’s.

Does the curse only activate when opponent < 50% Health? Seems like a pretty high activation rate once your there.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. Under 50% health for curse proc, and it definitely has a high activation rate.

If it’s 50% the damage output is nearly 92 average, which makes it the strongest weapon available (under that specific circumstance) not including SRB.

[edit] The curse can proc above 50% health, I think it may be an increase in activation rate as you hit each threshold.

For the marathon fights, a 50% increase in damage really doesn't do anything to improve your odds of winning the battle, and with preselect, it doesn't even save you that much time.

But by shifting your mitigation from healing to defense over the course of the battle, it can significantly drop your total damage mitigation enough to make you lose, if the opponent doesn't match up perfectly against your defensive icons. Especially since in the marathon battles, the opponets are usually boosting their stats.

For Example for my pet: DGR blocks 1890 Light damage and heals 500-800HP (2390-2690 total)

HOII Stage I blocks 1050 Light and heals 900 (1950 total)

HOII Stage II blocks 1575 Light and 535 Water and heals 500 (2075 total light only and 2610 if they are also using water)

HOII Stage III blocks 1575 Light and 840 Water and heals 200 (1775 total light only and 2615 if also using water)

HOII might have some utility if there is an opponent that uses light and water every turn, but i'm not sure that there are many/any opponents that use 2 of the same icon types on every single turn. Most (all?) challengers have 1 icon that they use every single turn at most. So I think in most cases Stage III HOII is actually worse than Stage I HOII, and in battles where light is used every turn, I think DGR is just better. and it battles where light is a common, but not every turn icon, DGR is much much better.

And none of that is taking into account the combo of DGR + Core.

[edit] Also since it's not an achevment item, I have my doubts that it would end up combining to a god weapon.

This is pure damage output, most capped pets can outheal hits with a 20% heal. Beyond that, if the opponent is freezable damage mitigation is a non-factor. The important thing becomes damage output.

The damage output is what this truly excels at, beating out all godlies after hitting your 3rd threshold.

But it only does that for the last 1/4th of the battle. Usually if I'm using my SBR it's to try and OHKO. I'm not bringing in SBR against Beunwrauth.

I'm probably the site's biggest shill for Baal, Ballista, and SBR as being underrated, and the damage output on this thing doesn't excite me at all. the way it shifts roles is awkward.

If your bringing it in as a light blocker, you are probably not too concerned about the damage output since then you would have just brought another actual god weapon and it would be a god weapon for 100% of the battle not just the last 25%. And if you were bringing it in for damage mitigation, you probably need that damage mitigation through the entire fight, and don't want it fadin out as you cross the finish line so you can end that battle in a draw.
