Thank you so much for checking this thread and taking the time to get back to us! I really appreciate it and I know others do too. Starmates and I have been baffled. ^^
(specifically)- I imagine it must be difficult to have to squeeze this error issue into your busy schedule right now. I hope the job is going well?
My issue is as you stated back to me, yes. Nothing changes regarding the ticked boxes, there is no flicker, and I do not get a blank page.
I first had the artist change a bit of the art on both the CI and the overlay of the problem CW; I tried submitting it again by changing just the overlay, then the CI, then both together, but it still gave me the same results. I then had a part of the CW recolored and that went through.
The one I did submit has not been approved yet, I'm very sorry. I'm sure Jessi will get to it soon and then I will try to submit the problem files as a recolor. I can also send you the problem files if you'd like? I have the first version of the problem files as well as the adjusted ones.
To add my experience, I think I almost had this happen to me (after not submitting for over a month so I never tested til now).
Everything was filled in and ready, I clicked submit and the overlays flickered and the submit button highlighted and nothing else happened. I opened a new tab to check my pending submission to see if it was a display error and had actually gone through, but it didn't. I went back to the submitting tab and clicked the submit button again and it went through that time.
I don't know if it was just a fluke but it sounded like the problem and the others were having, only mine went through. So I'll add this in case anything can be dissected from it.
Firefox 91.0.2 (64-bit) Windows 7
Thank you and for the extra information!
No updates yet, but we are still actively investigating this. We are getting a little closer. <3

i'm also on the same boat with not being able to submit one specific recolour (the overlay flicking and nothing happening aside from that), i hope it gets soved soon! thank you for your work so far n__n
Hey - so Gemma analyzed the image files, and she couldn't find anything weird with them. It's not any of the things she thought it might be. So in this case, could the artist please try:
Could you guys please have your artist try this for the offending files? For both the CI and the overlay files. (When I tested with files, I found the CI was the problem, not the overlay - but this doesn't seem to be consistent looking at everyone's reports.)
Could your artist(s) also share a little more info about the art software they use, and how they save things? (Like any formatting / save settings?) These could all provide a clue.
Also, I determined it's not a problem with the JavaScript. The data is getting sent to the backend, but it is not even reaching the part of backend code that processes the request. Something about the image data itself is triggering... some kind of security thing, to the best that I can tell. That may not be fixable on our end even though it's a problem on our end, so hopefully we can figure out some kind of workaround.

hi! I'm the artist for and ! I've went ahead to even change the original ci and overlay by adding different details to it and then having yuki resubmit it, but it apparently did not go through at all, until we recolored it to gold (originally white). It's not a fix, but at least for Yuki, she can the design on site. I will go ahead and try your suggestion for the problematic recolors for each releaser and have them submit it / try to work it out! Thank you for doing your best to fix this for all of us!
I use clip studio paint and nothing else, and saving (with default program settings) as a PNG and using a online png -> gif converter for the ci. I've never done it any different, but please let me know if I can provide more info!
There's possibly some value in the image itself that's triggering anti-counterfeiting tests? This sounds like the time I ran into that.
Check the image for anything that resembles small circles arranged the way they are on US currency (the one that got me), or there may also be other specific currency-marking things that are standardly built into image software protections.
Thanks for the info! Do you still happen to have copies of the gold and white CI and overlays, for the one you recolored slightly? I'm so sorry, by the way, for all of the inconvenience.
Huh, could you tell me more about that? This issue is so baffling, I appreciate any ideas about what it could be.

I don't keep all my old files, but may still have them? no worries, things happen and I'm happy to help out since it might even affect me later on but hopefully not! thank you for your hard work always ~

hope that helps? As you can see it's partly security through obscurity...
Okay, this may seem out of left field, but do the images successfully upload if you try to upload them to an image host such as Imgur? If other websites can take the image then I can try and compare with our system and see what is different about how the data is getting sent across the web.
I am really sorry this is not a quick-n-easy fix, guys - it is baffling but I am gonna keep brainstorming and trying things!
Also, could anyone else with this issue please also email me the image files that are not working: bug [at] subeta.net Thank you again!

i just tried out your method of pasting the unaccepted items on an accepted file (had to lower the original's opacity of the overlay a bit) and it went through this time! absolutely no idea what went wrong before (i tried clearing cache/re-exporting it again but no luck) since i always export them the same way and have had no problems before. i use SAI for overlays and Photoshop for the CIs. oh and i also tried uploading it on imgur and it was just fine. should i still try to send over the original files that i had a problem with?
YueXing redid my CI (cause you said that seemed to be the problem) for my Dreary Moon.....and well she redid it or something and it FINALLY got accepted?! But it was the CI as the problem and I've already emailed you the one file XD Hope that helps somewhat.

Oh, that's great!
In that case, I'd like to see if Gemma's workaround suggestion will work for everyone. Could everyone give that a try with your problematic files? Again the workaround is:
If we can feel confident in this workaround, I can modify the submission form to give a message about this instead of crashing. It's not a true solution but it will be great to have a workaround at least, especially if it seems to always work!

Thank you so much for sticking with this. I do have all the attempted files saved and will send them along to you by email if you'd still like to have a look at them. The CI was edited and this time it did go through; I am just waiting for approval.
@ Bug
Did you add this message: Uh oh! There was an error submitting the form: validation.mimetypes
Or is that something else entirely?
I think I'm having the same problem????

Try checking the size of your CI! It might not be re-sized properly. I had that same error a few weeks ago and once I fixed it, it fixed my problem.
I just tried submitting a CW just now and it went through fine for me. n_n
~ CW Group ✰ CW Releasing Thread ✰ My CS ✰ CW Wishes ~Ugh, sorry, that error message is supposed to be... something more helpfully worded, haha. But yeah, that is a separate error and it's not a glitch, it means something about your image files is not meeting the requirements: it could be the wrong file type, or the wrong image dimensions.
We didn't add a message yet for the glitch described by this OP, so if you encounter it, it will look like the button does nothing. In that case, you should try the workaround of copying and re-saving it to a working file. At the moment, I'm just waiting to hear if this workaround works for more people.
