agreeing with what said above. the main shops, definitely!

hardly anything is really "worth it" anymore, and there haven't really been new things added in a long time. and the things that have been added are always wearables... there's a ton of simple things that don't exist yet that i think should be made restockable items. like, this is a silly example, but we don't have an item for grilled cheese. we have some grilled cheese items, but a simple grilled cheese sandwich? nope... thankfully we have five different kinds of fried eyeballs though! (i know those exist as part of a set i'm only saying it feels goofy) oh, and while i like the idea on non-wearable custom items existing again, i don't want to see those take the place of things that could be official (restockable) items instead. kind of... like how... custom wearables are... now.......

i would also like to see older items revamped. restockable or not. the recent revamps to battle things and spell ingredients (not actually that recent anymore, are they...) were amazing! now things like these could really stop looking like they do: obviously there are hundreds more like this. it's jarring to see items like this next to all the newer and refined item art we have.

but it all always comes back to the fact that subeta doesn't have the staff to devote to things like this. i really wish someday things could go back to how they used to be, but i don't know how realistic that is. like, ever. this thread kind of made me sad seeing how much stuff has been mentioned on here.

Pet features and games.

Seriously, questing is not exactly what I would consider "fun" and I know flash is dead, but there's gotta be a way to make more playable games.

Speaking of lack of pet content, it's almost been a year since the rename feature was changed, and we still can't buy additional renames.

Also, we were supposed to get some pet perks for subscriptions, and still don't have them. I'm not upgrading my subscription until something more tailored for pet owners happen - I don't care nor want CW vouchers. :)

But I agree. Pets have really fallen on the backburner in the last long while.

Everything is neglected to a degree. The exceptions being the CW component of the site and the scheduled holidays.

Achievements- at least raise tiers for Quests, reading, collecting, eating, wardrobe layers etc. Main Shops get fuck all love. Games- Tubular Tiles has been missing for so long it's ridiculous now. Get some new ones as well.

I feel like most of the site deserves a bit more attention. But I get all the hardships staff and the site as a whole face.

Maybe we can start working with more volunteers? Like the hair layer procedure? As a community we have everything we need I am certain. Let's try to make more use of that I say!

And yes I realize that is not as simple as it seems. But I believe we could make that work.

Everything that isn't holiday-based needs more attention. To be completely, utterly honest, it gets super boring for me when there's no holiday stuff going on.

Yes, that is true. I think that's why they're trying to have more Quest-a-thons, but it would be good to see other site features get more notice too, like that one year when we had a "Summer Raffle" where we had to do various things for a chance at prizes. It would be nice to bring that back, as well as another chance to get the Unlucky forum title.

Would love a teamed version of a treasure hunt. Or like fraction wars to complete tasks that is relative to # of people in the group. So a more populated group would have higher targets than a small group but in terms of difficulty or ratio it was the same.

I'd like to see something happen in Peka...like...it's an empty field...there are SO many options (including something like the PekaBoo festival mentioned in the description?)...like, there are festivals or sports events or maybe like...idk a treasure hunt type thing? Cause an empty field makes no sense to me...

I'd also like to see something with like...a plot like the ones mentioned in the achievements...

I'd love a plot, so long as there's also battle opponents and a boss. Haven't had one in ages.

God, non-wearable custom items would be SUCH a good money sink. I have no skin in the CW game and don't want to but would I actually drop money to get items into the game that work for my treasure chests without also having to pay for a wearable overlay that I don't want/need? Sure would. If y'all need more income to help the site and hire more staff, bring back regular custom items! They don't even necessarily have to do anything, I just want them to be there.

These items wouldn't retire would they? The fact that some CWs retire is pretty frustrating for some people, and I don't think the userbase would like it if that also applied to non-wearable items.

Yes on the pets! But to be fair, how many species are missing specific colors? I need a starting point, especially because I think new artists were hired for pet design a couple of years back.

The lack of games is a bit strange considering we have software that teaches coding by having students create a game. Unless there's copyright issues with putting a game made on said software here on Subeta.

Besides that, I remember users talking about more sp sinks, so that might be why no new games have been added. Not to mention that sp payout is REALLY low for most games (at least the arcade ones).

Honestly I have no idea. I wasn't paying enough attention when they were around the first time, but I'm assuming they'd probably function similar to how our CWs currently do (which is at discretion of owner), or perhaps would be a permanent item that costs CSC, but less CSC than a CW (again, to get cash flow in for the site for a minimum amount of effort on the staff's part)

I think I remember they said on Twitter a while back that they were considering bringing back Peka-Boo but having it work differently. And it would be good if they at least brought back the food trucks because several items from there are needed for achievements. I would also like to see the return of the Snowman Building contest but with different NPC pairings this time, or maybe there could be a sand version of it during summer (if, somehow, someone brought a load of sand to the park). Or something else I haven't thought of. I think they might have originally intended to do more events with Peka Park but then other things got in the way.

Honestly, I will agree with what I've skimmed over the thread with. This site is feeling really neglected for the most part and that worries me alone. I really wish Keith would let people volunteer for this website, I'm sure some would love to help out even without pay (or even some perks). I've noticed everything slowing down, from new pet colors, species, revamps, ect to even just normal item releases. The fact that two major holidays was horribly delayed? It shows there is a mere skeleton crew here while everyones working on the new site revamp.

I love this site, I have been buying my GAs every month and have a tier two sub currently to help. I'd love to see some more effort put in, I understand currently with the pandemic and some other RL things for staff, it's gotten very thin but I'm sure you can find volunteers to help with art, plots, ect. I know a website that runs on that and they have amazing art, some really unique and fun mini plots. It can't hurt to try that for a year and see how it works here, can it?

I remember the days when Subeta was a pet site, clearly it isn't really much of anything these days. It's been going downhill for so long, I know I'm clinging on by my fingertips. I also know I'm not alone.

Subeta is stale and boring. Words I would never have associated with what was once my favourite ever place to be.

To be fair, the entire petsite genre is getting extremely boring.

Flight Rising is a one-trick-pony where everything revolves around one thing, and if you're not into the extremely dull coliseum they got, you're limited in what event currency you can get. Dappervolk can be described as one thing - grinding. lolNeopets.

Subeta is just using the staff shortage as an excuse to not do anything. Newsflash, staff shortage is everywhere, but most successful businesses are working to change things. In all domains.

It's been a year since we are on a "skeleton crew" and absolutely nothing has been done to change things. We're still on a skeleton crew, people are still leaving and it seems like Subeta staff is perfectly content to watch the ship sink.

Just tell us if you don't want to keep going, because I sure don't feel like my subscription money is going to a successful business right now.
