For now my goal is to determine if this is faulty. I may need to gather information about it's warranty coverage, I may not have to front much money to replace it.

And I did add to my experience with this job, in some parts the hard way.

Time to clean up, and take this old component for testing.

Oh I so hope that there is warranty coverage. That would be soooooo nice! OH! Do you get credit in class for this? I mean, for the experience? That would be nice as well!! :O

I just passed 200,000 miles on my little car, and we are gonna have a party....LOL I only drive around the ranch, and around town, so hopefully it will last a while longer. I have had it for a long time, and love that lil car! It reminds me of so many good things, and changes in my life. I know it will go to the beloved lil car junkyard in the sky (LOL) before long, but I do so hope it won't be for a long time yet.

My car isn't much behind yours, I think the odometer reads 150k or so. I'm confident to reach that milestone as well.

I recall an instructor telling the class about his Chevy that boasts over 300k miles. These are good numbers to hear from people who take care of such an investment.

Yes! You know you live with a car lover, when you have vehicles that last a long time! My husband still drives his first Chevy, and it has 275,000 miles on it. (He is a certified mechanic, since that is something he always wanted to do, but doesn't get to do as much as he would like, since the ranch takes most of his time.) I think there are some cars these days, like some Honda's that last nearly 300,000 miles. Of course, I think vehicle longevity depends on how an auto is designed, built, driven and maintained. That's a lot of factors, but man oh man, just to think you could still be driving something in 30+ years, just amazes me! I can remember my grandpa driving the same Dodge Ram, that he bought the year I was born, until the day he died. Granted, he didn't drive much after he turned 80, only around town, but wow! He was the one who taught me to change the oil in my car, and what fun that is! lol Oh how I love automobiles of all types!!

Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian pals!! Almost a bit late for that.... :O

I have one last step before taking the plunge and buying a new alternator. I'll need to find out if my warranty can be invoked on the information I have on hand. Should this not be viable, I'm forced to take the other option. My brothers agree to buy in the same setting, a upscale part that includes coverage. It may be more expensive, but the investment would show if this were to occur again.

Did my quota of quests today, but didn't realize I had skipped using my Morty cards in the process. Ten more days, only what I can put in.

[Edit] Well now, the outcome is... The warranty depended on information from the original purchase. The original purchaser was my mother, whose contact information at the time was different. Without her phone number from then, or more concrete proof, I'm forced to make the decision to buy an new alternator. In light of the current situation, I'll take my brother's advice to buy an upscale part with coverage. It will put a halt to any unnecessary spending to offset this cost. If it means having use of my car later on, a sacrifice is in order.

There is a lag? I am so tired, I think I just fall asleep It's 1:30 am here....

Cute you guys talking about your old cars. I only ever had one new car. It was a Subaru, didn't last 30 years. And my odometer is in kilometers anyway ;) My dad taught me to check the oil and back then, the battery liquid too. I took auto-mechanics in High school, but in college when I took a course offered, the guy giving the course was a jerk so I dropped the course. That's where my mechanics advancement ended. It would have been handy, but 40 years later, I doubt I would still be taking care of my car myself anyway.

I'm just content that the replacement worked out. The car's electrical system is working better now, a good sign of that is the power windows close quickly. Making time now for questing before taking other measures tonight.

Mine raking in the CSC with me Morty cards for another pet slot, along with the others I could be had with sP.

[Edit] It didn't take long, I played Let's go Eevee before turning to bed, and caught a female Dratini. I'll level up this little lady until she becomes a Dragonite, but will be sent (released, I'd prefer) to the Professor. Mine loyal to the first Dragonite I caught, this specimen will substitute as part of my backstory. I owe friend's nephew some gratitude, he pointed me in the right direction. I'll think of something...

I pondered this a few hours while cleaning my animal enclosure. I'll keep the first Dragonite long enough to battle the master trainer, but the Dratini gets to stay. While meandering about, a strong fabricated memory was recalled. I also snapped an interaction with this creature, which also invoked old feelings. In my mind this had evolved not by training but from friendship, and later on much more profound sentiment. I can't just let go of this... it has to occur per one particular version.

It's not mine, it's from AGT link that (HI!) showed me. Powerful words.

Wish I remembered what we were talking about... I do enjoy when I have inspired moments: to draw (less often), to crochet, to sew... The past few days I just try to pay attention to the quests! ;)

One of the reasons I "save" almost all the outfits I make. LoL

Hiya!

That's the problem with relationships, they only work with other people...even then...

It unfortunate that I missed my opportunity for work study, I lost any contact information when I had cleaned out my messages. I'll have to wait until another chance. At least this time I'm qualified.

Only three days and almost at the one Mega mark. We'll blow this outta the water as well!

Disgusting... a local news report about numerous desert dump sites where people took loads of fireworks to use, and left piles of garbage. This is an abuse of the freedom the think they'll always have, the kind of people who think its not a crime if they do it...

Is it any wonder why I embrace the "no holiday" aspect of my beliefs?

I certainly wouldn't mind if they outlawed fireworks.

oh yes! Same here. The car I have now is the only new car I've ever owned. I think that's one reason it's so sentimental, although there are many reasons for it to be so. Love this lil car...lol.
