Are artists supposed to be receiving denial notifications as well as submitting users? If so, I did not receive one for one of 's recent submissions.

If denial notifications are not intended to go to the CW artist, I hope they will be in the future! Just seems more convenient and efficient for the artist to have the denial text on hand right away.

Thanks for the reports, but I can't help you with the vague information given. I am not sure how to make this clearer at this point or where to write this that people will bother to read it. From the second post on this topic (which the announcement instructs you to read before making bug reports):

Quote
- Describe the problem. Please be as descriptive as possible and as specific as possible. If it is happening on a specific page, include the exact page URL; you can copy and paste this from the address bar.</p>
<ul>
<li>Is there a way to trigger this problem? If so, describe a step-by-step guide to how to trigger it. If not, please try and describe what you were doing when the error happened, again being as exact as possible.

I promise I'm not trying to be annoying with this! It's just that these guidelines exist for a reason. When we give bug report guidelines and say "please read this before making your report", please do take the time to read and follow them. Thank you.

Hey all - Just letting you know we are still working hard on the blank page issues some are experiencing, and will have a fix out as soon as possible. It turned out to be quite a hairy issue originating in our user and item hovers, which meant the issue can surface on multiple pages, but is most prominent in the CW Directory where many item and user hovers are loaded at once on the page.

This is a really high priority for us. We've been tackling this every day since the issue came up, and we think we're very close to having a proper fix!

Some of the CW Directory issues that surfaced in the past few days (like the search fields not being in the URL, or how the page jumped back to page 1 when you refreshed) were due to our initial attempts to mitigate this issue. We appreciate those who pointed out these issues, and they should be resolved now.

On a more personal note- this is really unfortunate, but heads up that fixes/updates from me may be a little slower for the time being as my mouse has unfortunately stopped working. Since the postal service is being flooded with Christmas packages right now, I'm not sure how soon my new mouse will be delivered. I appreciate your understanding!

--

Hello! As mentioned above, I deployed a fix for how manually loaded or reloaded directory pages jump you back to page 1. Please let me know if it is working correctly now, or if there are any more issues with it?

Hopefully the slowdown on the followers page will be fixed by the general fix we are working on for the blank page issues! We found that there is some faulty code in user hovers which can, under specific circumstances, cause a massive slowdown and even crash the page. (It can look like it's the user portraits, since those blink in somewhat slowly, but it is really something else!)

Regarding user portraits (and avatar-related images in general); we do recognize there is a problem with the speed of how these images are loaded. actually just drafted a plan today for how we can make these more efficient. It's a very early draft, pretty much brainstorming stage, but I just wanted to let you know we do recognize that issue and are at least starting to brainstorm ways to make that better!

Re: Artists receiving denial notifications; This might be something I did not understand correctly when I coded it in the new system, to be perfectly honest. Did artists receive denial notifications in the previous system? If so I can add it back in the new system. I genuinely just didn't know/realize that's how it used to work (if so), and this detail somehow never came up. We can certainly add this back in!

Thank you, I've made a note to add proper pagination to that page, and to have it display a lot more invites at once!

No updates yet but just letting you know I haven't forgotten about your issues (CSC transactions not showing up in CS purchase logs, and not being able to hit enter in the little input box for searching CW shops by username)

Sorry for one more ping in the sea of notifications you must be facing, but I just feel the need to say how thankful many of us are for your hard and efficient work, specially this time of the year. You keep on delivering fixes and new news and it's just impressive and shows how dedicated you are to this site, your work and us. I imagine must be involved in the processes too so a thanks to him too! So yeah, thank you! Sorry about your mouse, would totally get you a new fancy one for Christmas.

Oh, interesting to learn there's a "hidden" problem causing that page to slow down, rather than the portraits. I have faith that between the two of you, you'll figure out the issue with the portraits loading slowly too.

As for the artist denial notifications - yes! The denial text used to appear for both artists and submitters as a regular notification in the sidebar. No worries for overlooking it, but if you have time to add it back in it'd be super helpful for those of us doing commissions for other users! It's not strictly necessary, but does save a little time and back-and-forth between artist and client.

My apologies. ;u; The problem is basically this. The item directory is showing incorrect Number sold for some items (I think?). I'm assuming the number of items sold basically represents the number of items onsite, but if that is a misconception I've created, then please let me know because that will solve the issue entirely. An example I can show you is the I know I have one copy of this in my wardrobe. My account search confirms that. The Official Directly shows that there were zero copies sold. You can see this here: click me!

This individual item I submitted direct to shop. Do the copies we got from DTS not count in the number of items sold? I know that you posted that "All data created on the new system will be complete and accurate. Data migrated over from the previous system may have missing fields and inaccuracies, because this data did not exist in the previous system." Is this just one of those instances? I wanted to ask in case it wasn't and something wasn't right. xD

having the same issue as ;

my only shows 3 copies as being sold, but i definitely distributed somewhere around 20-30 that year for lumi. for this item, i definitely remember that i submitted 2 or 3 full batches of 10 to just myself, and then picked up the last few from my shop, so it seems as though it's only showing the numbers purchased from my shop and not the batches submitted. i've only noticed this kind of discrepancy on items i've submitted a similar way (batches to myself, then picking up some afterwards) because the is equally affected-- i believe i bought somewhere around 10-20 of that one total, using the batch system to get 10 at a time, then picking up the rest.

since they're old items and the batch system no longer exists, honestly this is easy for me to just mention in releaser notes so people have an idea of how many copies are floating around? but maybe it'll help across the board to have the info

I didn't realize saying that shop search wasn't working in regards to CWs and listing which pages it wasn't working on was too vague.

For clarity, when clicking "search shops" on any CW that is showing as priced and available in the Official CW Directory it would take me to the Shop Search page result for the item but not show it in stock anywhere.

This also happened when I tried directly searching any of the CWs that were shown as priced in the Official CW Directory via the Shop Search page.

It appears, however, that sometime after your post to me, you did manage to see and correct the issue, as it's now working correctly and clicking to "search shops" on the CWs in the Official CW Directory is now correctly taking me to the Shop Search results where it is now actually showing the item as priced/available to buy.

Next time I mention an issue that happened before and was discussed and corrected on this thread and has started to reoccur, I will make sure to link the pages.

@ Reaper I didn't, actually. I wasn't able to reproduce your issue with the shop search - I tried a couple items and it was working for me. There wasn't enough info to keep investigating it so I worked on other things then signed off. Thank you for the extra details as that helps us understand the problem, so I know how to start addressing it now. The bug report guidelines are there for a reason; please do follow them even if you think it's not relevant.

And I didn't mean say the same thing with more words, I meant like give specific examples of which items you searched, etc, so I can see if those same items work with me, and so on. Maybe I'm reading into it, but your post just comes across kind of snarky and sarcastic, like "you want me to link pages? ok fine I'll link shop search every single time I mention it".. like come on, lol, I'm not trying to be like that. I know where Shop Search is. By exact URL I mean an exact URL you are having the problem on.

Fwiw you didn't list anything in your original report, and you mentioned "the item" so it sounded like it might have been a specific item. It was unclear.

To make this clearer: You can try saying for instance, "I searched the (cw name here) which is available in (releaser)'s cw shop, but shop search showed no results. I'm getting this error for every CW I try, this is just one example." And link the shop search page for that specific item so anyone can just click it and see the problem right there. That's all! I hope that helps with any confusion about what we mean by giving examples and a step-by-step to trigger the problem. We really appreciate when people do this, and it helps us address things faster!

[edit] We've now resolved the issue, so you shouldn't run into it again :) The problem was that one of our servers had outdated code on it. Since we have multiple servers, and it's random which server you get assigned at any given time, that explains why you saw the problem yesterday but I didn't. EDIT 2: Rephrased some things more clearly, added example of how to follow bug report guidelines ( sorry for extra ping!)

I've paginated the Manage Invites page and changed it to show a lot more invites per page. I also made the regular Invites page (the one that shows ones you've received, rather than sent) show more invites at once.

Thank you! I just changed it to also send the artist a notification upon denial.

No worries! Thanks for letting me know the item so I could look into it for you. <3 For the Pearl Paradise Statue, unfortunately, it seems this is a case where the data is just missing. I manually checked several places in our database to see if any data can be recovered, and I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I've changed the CW directory to simply not show the number sold when it is 0, since that is never right. So now it will better reflect that the info is missing, instead of just saying incorrectly that no copies were sold.

Thanks - I was able to find an error with how the data was migrated for the Whimsical Tight Wrapped Giftbox. I should be able to write a script to mass-fix these for your item and all other affected items. Working on it :)

If you are curious: This glitch affected all items that were submitted as unlimited batches but not DTS and had slots priced at 0. (For example, if you slotted yourself for all 5 slots, then you would've had one slot with a price on it and 4 slots that cost 0 CSC each.) The script had attempted to count how many slots were filled by counting paid slots, since some slots could've been unpaid and those would not count. This failed to count "free" slots because those slots were marked as unpaid for some reason - I guess because, since they cost 0 CSC, technically nothing was paid for them. Thank you for helping me catch this!

(Also, not that it matters for this, but your Whimsical Tight Wrapped Giftbox was never moved into your CW shop in the old system, just so you know.)

[edit] - just to clarify re: "I'm assuming the number of items sold basically represents the number of items onsite" It represents how many copies were sold (through any means, including the initial releaser copy, artist copy, slotting, and shop sales), not how many are currently on site (it is rare but for instance it's possible to delete a CW, so that the number sold is greater than the number on site)

We did make a massive effort to account for everything in the data migration script - so if an item was initially slotted for, then moved to DTS and sold more copies, yes, we specifically tried to account for that case and as many other cases as possible. I'll let you know when I'm done the fix for 's issue as it's possible some of your other items have the same problem and can be fixed along with that.

Hello again! The script is now done, so your Whimsical Tight Wrapped Giftbox is fixed, as are any other CWs affected by the same issue. Thank you again, and if you notice other inaccuracies you can let me know :)

Hi! So I've finished running the script - did that fix any of your other items for you, where you noticed the count was off? If anything else is still off, feel free to list some of the items for me here and I can check on them.

I'm glad the issue is resolved and you discovered it was an old server issue.

As for whether my reply was snarky - I tried to not make it be so and I waited 5 hours to reply initially because the first response you gave me implied I couldn't read so I tried to tame the snark, but apparently some slipped out. I didn't provide an exact URL because it was happening on the main shop search and directory pages and I assumed you could have those. I did say in my first line it wasn't showing items, so I figured you understood that to mean any, but next time I will be more clear about what I was trying or I'll just let others submit their bug reports and hope whatever issue I'm having comes up.

No, nothing I said implied you couldn't read, only that I thought you didn't read them since you didn't follow them. A lot of people skim or skip the post since it is long, which is totally understandable! If you did read the quoted guidelines and just decided they didn't need to be followed in this case, then my point stands - please follow them even when you don't think it's necessary.

It's definitely not the end of the world! I have my own personal memory so I can always add that to the releaser notes so that people have a pretty good idea of how many were sold. n_n

Thank you so much for changing the way it displays that! Definitely less confusing that way.

That makes absolute sense. I really appreciate you clarifying that for me. ;u; sheds a tear at the thought of someone deleting a cw
