Today's question:
My personal answer:
If you cut a hole in a net, there will be less holes in the net.
The goal of golfing is to play less golf.
Things like that just seem strange to me because they are so obvious yet you kinda have think about them first 😂

Pinocchio saying "my nose will grow now!". If his nose doesn't grow, it means he lied yet his nose didn't grow. But if his nose did grow, then it grew without him lying. :O
I saw a meme about this years ago and I still find myself thinking about it too much. xD
That's the only thing I can think about now, haha. Sorry. :P
What seems paradox to you?
To be honest I don't really know any, one of my friends said: "Why is it called a building if it's already built?" but I'm not sure that counts. There's also this one I sometimes ask: "Why are they called cookies when they're baked, and why is it called bacon when it's cooked?"
When I looked up paradoxes I found this one and found it a bit curious: "If you restored a ship by replacing each of its wooden parts, would it remain the same ship?"
The only way to be whole, is to be a part.
Paradoxes! Ahhh, my brain hates this and avoids all things similar! Relativity really messes with me, and I feel the need to diagram things out, but it never really helps or works. Time dilation messes with me, as time elapsed feels like a constant, when it really can't be. It's interesting to think about it in terms of the twin paradox, or, well, that condition applied anyone experiencing a different place/situation.
On that note, mirrors. This will sound incredibly stupid, but it just throws me for a loop (hah). Somehow my brain dislikes to think about two people to peering into the same item, and see a different reflection. Yes, I understand light functions in fascinating ways, but it feels weird to take ownership of our eyes and perspective, if that makes sense. A friend standing across a room could see a lamp, and I could see the same lamp, and we see different angles, different parts of the lamp. A mirror feels more like a direct personification of that, but... I don't know. It's uncomfortable. It's sort of relativity, on a much simpler scale.
100% rambling. Point being, mirrors are crazy hahaha.
pls tell me about something that is paradoxical to you ~
Praying mantis are SO cool! I just like them more from the comfort of afar or through glass. One landed on me when I was younger and just was chilling on my shoulder for WAY too long. I was not chill and kept trying to rub it onto my grandma, who was not happy, haha.
& That's a super sweet memory. <3
That's such a great way of putting it. It's interesting how tattoos are so incredibly personal, but, by getting them, it's almost publicizing it. Never really thought about it that way. I love all of your ideas - they seem wonderful. Particularly your idea of the maritime vessel. Pretty cool way of integrating your past into your future. You're owning what's gone on, and making it into a work of art! <3
<3 thank you for that! I've honestly been a bit back and forth, because, of those I've told, it hasn't received much support. Gotta own what I want, really, haha.
Today's question:
My personal answer:
There are sooooo many good ones so I'll just give you a couple random ones ;)
You can use the water in coconuts as blood infusion. Ants never sleep. Wombat feces are cube-shaped. There are diamond rains on Jupiter and Saturn. Queen Elizabeth celebrates two birthdays each year.

I can't think of anything right now, but if I remember something, I will post it here. :) The diamond rains fact is my favorite from the ones Minty mentioned!
Do you know any fun facts?
Chinchillas are extremely soft and have the densest fur of any land animal with over 20,000 hairs per square centimetre! Because their fur is so dense parasites cannot live on them as they will suffocate.
The only animal with denser fur is the sea otter which averages from 26,000 to 165,000 hairs per square centimetre on various parts of their bodies.
oh yeah, it's wild. if you go on the bayarea subreddit and sort by top, you can see the INSANE lightning we got a week ago, and the super crazy red sun, and vibrant sunsets, and the smoke, and the timelapse of the fires, etc. literally the apocalypse AND there was a minor earthquake.
definitely a time to be buying n95 masks for the future. it is so bad to inhale it!
luckily the fires have stopped spreading as insanely. at one point they were consuming around 90,000 acres per day. it's definitely not over yet. i live in suburbia :( it is scary to think of stuff like this.
q: air plants don't actually only need air to survive, they need water. they just don't need dirt! help, I'm slowly killing mine
Do you know any fun facts?
I could be so sassy and say that Life is a disease with a 100% death rate? To be honest I don't really know too many fun facts without giving my IRL location away, which I don't want to go doing. I suppose I can say: In the original Doom, only John Romero and one of the sound guys knew about Romero's voice being put into the game backwards. Did half scare the rest of the production and game tester teams when they first heard it!
A lot of what I post relates to fun/random facts. Some are directly related to southpaws. Also too many to specify any focus of topic.
Here are a few; Iron is the densest element, even heavier elements are less dense, Light takes several hundred thousand years to exit the sun, due to the unimaginable density of it's core, Color Television was invented by a Mexican, Metric clocks were made in the past, but never took on, the kilogram is the only measurement based on a physical artifact.
Today's question:
My personal answer:
Brooklyn nine nine is unbelievably hilarious! I also really liked the first few seasons of Game of Thrones and Rupaul's dragrace is EVERYTHING! 😍

Hmm now that is a tough one...
To be fair I tend to just watch reruns of things buuut I guess these are ones I like more than others.
The Simpsons Rick and Morty Forensic Files The Venture Bros Game of Thrones (S 1-7) Gangland Undercover Copper (sucks it got cancelled, it ended on a cliffhanger) Vikings (S 1-3) I gave up on the show midway thru season 4
What is your favourite TV show?
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine for sure, though The Next Generation is a close second.
I also really like The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and ATLA!
Overall, Reading Rainbow from the few good memories of my childhood. Nowadays I don't watch much TV, so for current shows...I liked Leverage, hilarious in its own way.
I don't really go out of my way to watch anything other than Anime. Does Anime count? If so, I haven't found an Anime that touched me from inside to consider it a favorite yet.
Just one? I've been digging on Lovecraft atm. Doom Patrol is so, so good. The Umbrella Academy...so many good ones! The Great British Baking Show ❤

I actually.. can't.. think of anything LOL This is a bad question for me, I don't really think that hard about stuff like that. XD Though what you said about mirrors is interesting. It definitely is weird to think how we could be looking at the same thing but be seeing entirely different reflections LOL. It puts me off so hard that I can see SO much of a room from a mirror, even something that isn't even in front of it.. it confuses me so hard haha. Like I'm sure there is a simple explanation for it but for now I'm just like "how can I see my husband on the toilet when he's not even in front of the bathroom mirror" HAHA
