Hey how are you doing in RL? I am so busy I dont know if I am walking or riding a horse. We have two rooms, and hallway left to do for now until cooler weather, than it will be paint garage interior and paint house exterior. Plus I am on carpet shampoo detail, only time rooms have no furniture. i have been waiting for this, and shampooing anything in my way even bathroom carpets.

Hi Bears Busy as ever, just trying to do dailies. I have an early day in the morning audiology, carpet shampooing, grocery pick up, dinner and much more I am sure.

I Bear Family! Not much going on lately, it's too hot to do anything! 111F yesterday, 110F today. The power company shut down the power twice today and the humans simply sweltered. Living at 4500 ft offers no relief. So, we just stay inside and nap it off and wait until the evening get anything done. Our annual Healer's Hall Picnic is Wednesday and we've spread the word to all corners of Glen Meadow to come in the evening. We'll dance under the stars, swim in the creek down by the foot-bridge, eat, drink and make jolly. Weldon's making his famous Strawberry Ice Cream! I'll save you all a bowl!

Yes, I am a role-playing character, but I don’t bite (much.)

please thank Weldon for saving a bowl! Hope the power company can get their act together soon. My air was out Saturday but when repaired I slept forever! Even that little bit was terrible.

I hear you all about the heat. My outside unit keeps quitting and I'm through throwing money at it. I'm pretty much living in my bedroom with a small unit these days.

^_^ It must be all that work and cleaning you're doing. Your luck seems to be magical sometimes! Haha!

o.o' Oh man.. Praying for relief from the heat for you. :) Though ice cream and swimming in a creek sounds fun! I...honestly can't remember the last time I went swimming. But I can still remember the feel of cool water. I dream of it these hot summer days. ^_^

I would have the muscle tone of cooking spaghetti, I wish I lived near natural hot springs. That would set all my aches and pains right, and I would be super relaxed.

Real happy with all the work on the house, but I wish it was done. I was surprised Carl was so nice, he probably thought he ought to be nice, he probably mistakened me for the bartender. LOL

Ooh! :) You should visit Hot Springs Arkansas some time. I went there for a weekend trip with a sister and cousin once. Kinda a small town, but I wanted to stay or come back soon just to soak in the waters.

I love small towns, I was raised in a small town. I would be the one visiting the old library to smell books, antique shops to smell steamer trunks and look over all the antiques. A few yard sales picking up some antiques. Oh and if there was yarn I would snatch it all like it was gold. Oh I would get in the hot springs and take root. LOL No water required, lol

...more than you ever want to know but i love my lil town..we moved here for the girls..wonderful homes with huge yards..good school small town....hahah i actuallyh took the time to rewrite something ...

i live in a small town which prides itself on being quaint..there is an old rustic theme running throughtout the town now with huge horsetroughs brimming with flowers. there are life size cut out(wood) cows with varied cheerful designs on them. several of the stores have rustic architecture attached to their exterior walls..filled window panes..chairs and rusty bicycles...even a HUGE old truck overtaken by a meriad of flowers..it is the town maskot along with out old water tower.

we have one general store with everything from ship to shore in it..a sweet candy row for the kids and a tall rack that turns well stocked with small toys under $5 for the kids afterschool as they walk on their way home..

There is a well established steak house that moved in after onstrucjting its brick building... the largest in town!! The sturdy clocktower sits on the corner that rounds up into the tiny postoffice just next door to the dog groomers where sounds and shivers could be heard on outside.

There is the old county kitchen that everyone gathers at meeting each other for breakfast or lunch. several wineries boast of their wines in small Cafes strewn around the short main street.

Every 4th of July the townspeople dress up to be IN the parade..then run back afterwards to WATCH whats left of it to see hahahah on the 2nd saturday of december is the old town christmas parade...ending of course with the sirens of our firetruck with santa on board. afterwards there are hard candies strewn about the street that the kids missed as they ran to get the candies being thrown from the parade. Afterwards as many folks as will fit go the local eatery serving the largest portions this side of the mississipi. spilling out the front door into the wrought iron whitewashed tables and chairs friends just chatted up the time till it was there turn to be seated. they were well known for their pies that topped over 6 inhes in the middle along with others in the tall glass cabinets that turned,,,childrens eyes wide as it came around to their favorite one again:) There is the huge cavernous old loadingdock which has umpteen years ago been made into a coffee house ..brewery and an open mic for whoever wanted to entertain.

outside this is where the big old truck is that has become the toens masot.

today the the changes in the big world some business had to fold..the lady who repurposed furniture into girls pink dreams, the small pizza place on the corner..it is a changing world today which we try to keep at bay in our little hometown.

the market which has been their for over forty years will be closing its doors..no more ice cream parlor bbqs on fridays and general store needs for town. in its place will be a mariquana dispensory making all brows furrow and faces scowl...((it is out of place here..not in the big town next to ours))..it is NOT uncommon but there are several shops open to accommadate such while leaving our only market in place instead!!! it is heartbreaking..it will be terribly missed.

OMG sounds so comfy traditional home town, sad the economy and covid are closing small mom and pop stores. I consider them the back bone of each town and city across the nation. I love the architecture on main streets in towns, oh and the must have clock. Huge backyards and gardens, I am so jealous, and the chance to go antiques shop or just browse in antique shops. Thanks for sharing, it brought back memories of the town I was raised. Tell me you have a creamery, that would be the best. My home town did, and I miss it greatly.

I would move to Wisconsin just for the cheese, LOL.

A lot to tell about Egypt, but know for sure travel there for a week is a waste of an airline ticket, to much to see and do. The pyramids, temples have light and sound shows at night which are cool and a must see. So see them all during the day, and go again at night. I could probably be a tour guide by now, I can make sure you get the best papyrus hand painted Pharaohanic scenery which also done on brass. I can take you to gold shops and world re known Khan El Khalili in Cairo's Islamic district, which is one of the oldest bazaars in Egypt. But you need to bargain for whatever you buy, because they name high prices for tourists. So much to do and see, just taking a taxi is an adventure or a drive in the countryside or out in the desert and see a herd of camels. Oh the museum in Cairo is a must, and the valley of the Kings. You can go visit the Giza pyramids and get a rid on a camel, We have a pic of hubby, older son and I with a camel. Oh you have to go see the burning bush FYI its not scorched. I know I am an adult and thought it would be burned or singed. But NOPE, it has the daintiest leaves and tiny lavender or lilac color flowers. When I saw it, I didnt have a brochure. When I did, I realized the bush I saw and thought. Geez cant the gardeners sharpen their shears was actually the burning bush. What i didnt realize was that at the tips of its branches, people had been breaking off a piece to take with them. To me, I thought nope that is disfiguring a religious symbol. So I didnt not follow suit, and destroy something even in a small way like taking a bit of the branch. Same as what I told my sons, when they were in elementary and we went to the Grand Canyon. People were tossing coins into the grand canyon like a flipping wishing well. I told my sons loudly for the dumb tourists to hear, that they werent allowed. Because they werent going to ruin nature, by throwing coins down the canyon. That in a sense, they would be destroying the ecosystem in the canyon, and that the animals could get sick and it could effect the plants, trees, and bushes growth. Lucky we had read about ecosystems together so they got it. Well I shamed a whole crowd of these tourists looking for coins to toss, they all looked shame faced and tried pretending they werent looking for coins. LOL My sons have seen a lot of historical or national monuments, and I have ingrained in their heads, you need to respect and dont destroy them. I walked with them threw the White House, and they didnt touch one thing. They were raised with look with your eyes not your hands.
