Thank you! I was wondering why there are some responses that a compensation of 1k was inexcusable and how some items can't be replaced. I do think 1k is a reasonable (starting point) amount to give the userbase back for the grief and loss of their items...in a way? BUT users with large numbers of items who do not track their items, cannot be compensated for a loss they are not sure they have or do not have. I, myself, am still combing through the recent cw's ive purchased as I keep it updated however, I do not track non-cw's and I will frankly never know what's missing because I buy lots of sp costing items. :/ So I suppose it's a major loss for me and sp I will never get back.

I have never kept a list of what I owned, I have no idea. Unless I drudge through posts confirming slots on CW's but I bought tons of stuff on BF and I don't know what I might be missing from that, lumi presents, and gifts.

I know you're doing your best subeta. This is really is overwhelming.

My main thing is an alert would be given if the backups fail again. Which is good, but could they manually be checked as well? In case the alert also fails.

284 pages, did 5 pages and found 2 items. I plan to do about 5 pages per report unless the lag eases up. Hopefully having 30 reports per person won't be a PIA for you :p

When are we going to get an ACTUAL explanation on why the problems reported were ignored, then Keith made a "lol whoopsie!" thread, didn't ping anyone, and IGNORED IT FOR EIGHT HOURS UNTIL WHAT SEEMS LIKE THE ONLY MEMBER OF STAFF THAT GIVES A SHIT HAD TO PICK UP THE PIECES?

Is there a list of items we know to have been affected, for users to check against? We agree that a list like this would be helpful for everyone. We can't provide one yet because we're still working on compiling it. Your reports will be a helpful piece of this puzzle.

I've checked with my friends, and it seems like some items were not deleted from everyone's wardrobes, only some people's. Thank you to those who have brought this up. This has been noted on our end, and we've edited the announcement to reflect this. We will restore lost items whether they were lost for everyone or only some people.

Are we going to lose all items from the last 4 months? No. As stated, our intention is to restore ALL items possible. We agree that it would be unacceptable to ask users to eat this kind of loss.

It should be staff's responsibility to clean up this mess. Don't put responsibility on the users to remember what items they lost. We hear you 100%. We created the user reports form to streamline the reporting process for those who want to make reports, and help us consolidate information from user reports. We don't intend to rely on user reports to restore lost items. We're also using the backup we have, various logs and other existing data to piece this together. You don't have to make any reports if you don't want to, and restoring your items will NOT depend on you making a report.

1000 CSC is not enough compensation for the items we lost. The CSC is not intended to replace lost items. We will restore everything we possibly can, starting with high-value items including CWs. The 1000 CSC gift is on top of that as an apology.

How long will it take to get our items back? We're looking to start restoring items as soon as possible. All of our other work is on hold until we sort this out. We know it would be super frustrating to have to wait weeks to get your items back, and we also want to avoid that.

A lot of mistakes were made by staff in handling this. Yesterday's post was too hidden, and the delay between that post and today's announcement only incited further confusion and anxiety. We own up to this. Yesterday's post was a mistake; It was hastily written, vague and not informative, and hard to find. Today's post is the proper announcement we should have given you yesterday. We understand it doesn't undo the mistake, and we apologize.

Everyone (or a large chunk of users) has lost the items, regardless of when or if you've used the wardrobe. When the new wardrobe was released (23rd-24th), some users removed items from it. Removing those items deleted the items across the entire wardrobe system.

According to the previous locked thread, some early GA testers apparently noticed a problem with deleting items and reported the issue. But Keith rolled out the new wardrobe anyway. Then Keith decided to make an admin post buried in the forums announcing the issue, ping no one to it, and wait another full day before making a news announcement.

Presumably so they could bribe us all with $10 so we'd ignore that many people have lost god knows how much ?? worth of irreplaceable CWs, and that users with large wardrobes will have to spend hours and hours of their own time trying to figure out what they're missing.

What's a bit funny (despite the fact that a lot of people have lost items from this glitch) is that I have some Ornaments that I added to my Ornament Inventory in there... O.o? I mean, they're not TECHNICALLY in there, but still... Seeing them in there just made me wonder what was going on.

Still, I'm checking to see what if anything is missing in there, since I rarely change my Avatar although I do change it every now and then during some events.

[edit]And now I'm getting to a page FULL of ornaments in the wardrobe... That supposed to happen ?

Good question. I really don't remove items from my wardrobe so I might have less lost items compared to other users....

So, I have over 15k items in there, I think. And never saw any reason to track it other than CWs because really, how is that my responsibility? But tbh, I don't have the time to go through everything to make sure it's there. It won't even load for me, I haven't even been able to put on a mask to participate in the event... so I can't even check if I'm missing something or not.

I have bought way too much to remember what is missing, including customs and cash shop. I would look in my wardrobe but i have too many items to know whats gone. Sad day

I'm too scared to look in my wardrobe to be honest. I have spent a while away from Subeta over recent months, mostly because everything kept breaking. I literally started coming back here a week ago. I've invested a lot over the last 11 years. Time to consider if that was the right decision. Too much stress in the real world for me to cope with shit like this on here too. Way to go, Subeta!!!

Good grief. I'm glad I use subetalodge to log every wearable item I have and while it's been some time since I updated that I hope it's enough to help pin down a few lost items in this bizzare wild goose chase, though I don't doubt those with massive CW libraries are the most affected at the moment.
