I had exactly 3k crystals, I had no clue how many were stocked but I managed to nab one, there were only 9 when I managed to grab one :o

That's why I always try to make sure I have at least 3000 available. You never know when they'll appear.

That's a great idea! I had no idea that's even what they cost, it was just serendipity. I'm gonna take that advice and frag and make sure I have another 3k on hand at all times :)

I can understand wanting them to be rare, but like with so many ways to use them I feel like they're a little too rare.

Because subeta is silly tying in an achievement and features 90% of the userbase uses with a ridic stat booster only 10% of the userbase uses.

I'm definitely not disagreeing, I think it should have been more like 50 copies. Still a low number but a LOT more. And I still don't think any have been restocked... It would have made more sense if they were stocking a bunch so a lot went out. I don't get why it's so rare.

Side rant in general, the site really needs more boosters... I wish there were CS boosters that were worth buying, then I could support the site and actually have boosters worth using. Those totems are just SO BAD. I mean there are only so many amulets/tomes and you just wreck the economy if you buy them all up. The way they price the stat boosters in the cash shop is straight unethical. Especially when they put them in the cash shop for a limited time during an event.

It's like if Nigerian prices started selling tomes for 15mil each in the news posts.

I know the item admin people mean well and it sounds like they are practically volunteering their time, but it's like they have absolutely no process for predicting the results of their actions. With the Universal remote they priced it in a way that it ended up selling at 150mil on the secondary market, and quoted that they were worried it might affect the booster market.

Part of me would love to see the behind the scenes analytic tools they have to make decisions like that, but part of me wonders if they even have any.

I always assumed they had like a minimum $ amount they felt they needed to put on CS items? But then make the friggin things boost more. Or maybe they rolled a dice. I mean, the way I figure, they shouldn't necessarily be equal to tomes because people are not gonna be happy about a pay to win option, and I'm cool with that. (Although you can pay to win with tomes but like let's not even go down that conversational path right?) But, I think they came up with the price and never actually reviewed it or processed it. I've been meaning to make a suggestion board. Not saying that will magically solve the problem, but grumbling to myself won't either.

Oh and I am STRAIGHT UP SALTY about being told that retired/old CS challengers would return every month and they haven't. It's like... Let me support you, Subeta. Why are you neglecting an opportunity to make $$?

I'm kind of unreasonably aggravated that Ariel says the remote has to be like that in order to protect an already inflated market and may have been too nasty in the news comments.

At one point back when CSC was much cheaper they weren't as bad, but then they never updated them.

To be fair, she's probably unaware of how inflated the booster market is right now. But to say that they're being withheld from stocking reasonably because they are stat boosters that will unbalance battling is aggravating.

It's better to assume virtuous intent.

Never assume something is malicious that can better be explained by ignorance.

I have no doubt it is ignorance, but it's still frustrating :P I don't like incorrect information being used as an excuse.
