Happy FR anniversary! It's been a minute since this place was active; how is everyone? What do you think of the updates?

I'm really happy about being able to name familiars. I think that was one of the first deficiencies of the site I commented on when I joined haha. Dragon profile scenery and assigning vistas to each dragon are super neat too, although it's going to take a very long time to obtain the scenery I want for all of my dragons. There are so many exciting possibilities for backdrops that could be released though.

I brewed a Boggy egg for the occasion and hatched it today and I'm so happy with how she turned out. She's perfect! I can't even decide how to gene her because so many combinations look good with her colors. Anybody else do anything special for the event? This is my first FR anniversary and I get the impression it's a really huge deal among the userbase so I'm wondering if more stuff will be released over the coming week or what. The profile stuff is really neat but I'll admit I was expecting something bigger, like a new breed or the PvP coliseum. I know we just got a new venue (and I love it!) but that was technically released before the anniversary. Maybe they still consider it part of the event release since it was so close though.

I'm loving the new site updates too! I started playing around a year ago so I was too new to appreciate the celebration. I probably wasn't even aware of it. :-P Nice bogs!! I love when you get 3 colors that work well together. I've been a week cooking stuff up for a new bogs egg. Almost there. Lol My fav bogs combo is Jaguar, Rosette, Capsule. I might have a fewwww with that combo! :-D

Normally, Anni isn't a big celebration at all, LOL. There were cakes (food) back then and then another item one anni, I can't remember exactly. Nothing big ever.

I wanted to stay positive about the changes but there are some tweaks I'd make to the new dragon profile layout if I could. I'd move the apparel section...away, somewhere. I don't think it needs such a prominent place and those dotted outlines really detract from the aesthetic of the page. It would be awesome if all the profile components were widgets we could customize like our Subeta user profiles but I guess that is unlikely. Overall, I still think it's an improvement.

Ye, Bogs are my favorite breed for sure. It took a while for them to grow on me (those necks are...weird) but they are actually perfect awkward babs. I really like the Capsule gene concept but I hardly ever find a good application for it. I think I've only actually used it once, on my Water Flight rep; I hope I'll find more uses for it. Good luck getting your ingredients in time to hatch an anniversary dragon (I guess the whole week counts)! Seems like it never wants to cooperate. So much common green goo or whatever.

I expect it would be rather mealy. Needs a lot of frosting to make it palatable. Dragons probably don't care though. Good protein source in any case lol

Lol yep, problem is now that I understand how familiars work (that I have to "awaken" them and then dump them for a new one) I don't have that many perma-fams that I can actually name. I'll be really glad when I'm done bonding with everything because I don't care for this system; I would really prefer them to match and stay with their dragons.

I figured out what I'm going to do with my bog baby! I wish those bone charms weren't so expensive though. Would sure be nice for us newer players if they'd make old items easier to acquire. I don't know why everything has to "hold its value" forever. I just want to decorate my dergs. D:

Oh it's not like an official thing, I've just noticed a lot of people like to hatch eggs for events so I hatched one to celebrate the anniversary. I would hatch it now, but that's just me. I hatch everything. :D

Ugh.... Yeah sigh I have one dragon that I keep the familiar on right now. So it was nice to actually be able to give it a name. I wish we could bond with familiars on dragons in the Den too. It would at least help speed things up a bit. She looks wonderful!! ^0^ I love the little frogs all over her too. I have noticed it's really hard to get old skins and wears on there D: I ended up just giving up on trying to do that and just focus on getting the new skins they come out with and make them work with my dragons.

Yeah, I'd probably use the Den if we could bond with familiars in there tbh. Thank you! I'm still in the process of brewing frogs. Frogs everywhere! I know right, it's really bad with older items but even common items can be frustrating. Sometimes really common stuff is just sold out because there isn't that much of ANYTHING on the market. I figure it's because the whole auction system sucks. I hardly ever put anything up for sale because it's a PITA. I wish they'd give us shops like we have on here.
