Although I am BEYOND salty that I missed last year's echo finder achievement-first and only one of those achievements I've ever missed. So, I'm sort of side-eyeing the patch already. >.>

Oh? I remember there was the Omen Islands one that kind of ended on a semi-cliffhanger with the volcano acting weird. What was the other? The Shengui Guo one?

I don't know what's going on, but I hope patch and ToT times are going to be shortened since Morostide is starting late for whatever reason. I hate having to wait 30 minutes, it needs to be more like 10-15 minutes. And if we're getting a plot, it better be paced properly so that we're doing something every day. No being forced to wait on people to catch up; either they join in when they can or they miss out.

I agree. And we need fewer hexes to make up for it being late.

I think the entire Morostide timetable should be 10-15 min PP times and 5-10 min ToT times, regardless of WHEN the celebration starts. I mean, they release new items every year, right? AND they also make all the previous items available again, so basically we have over a decade's worth of patch and ToT items to go after every single year. Why not shorten the times that way we all get a fair shot and it doesnt ruin overall inflation/item value??

Morostide start times: 2010: the 15th 5:59 pm 2011: the 15th 7:07 pm 2012: the 15th 4:29 pm 2013: the 15th 10:29 am (10 am wat?!) 2014: the 15th 4:57 pm 2015: the 16th 4:52 pm 2016: the 17th 5:42 pm 2017: the 13th 5:20 pm (friday the 13th)

It's not late, but that sudden deviation from always starting on the 15th in the past couple years is interesting lol. I guess that makes it still on time at this point.

morostide starts “mid october” october is four weeks and a bit starting today or tomorrow would give it like, exactly half of october i don’t know if i’d call it late. at least it’s not vesnali with one dinky week (thinking emoji)

Not all previous years' items are available in the Patch or for ToT every single year.

How long the wait is seems to be entirely based on how much users complain about quick devaluation of Morostide items This real or perceived devaluation is something that's not really in control of Staff Since the complaints and their intensity is random IMO, there's no logical guess as to how long the waits "should" be.

If the goal is that morotide items should reach a value of "worth giving for a Quentin quest" within a year, the current timing is good.
