I think I'm going to give Unmask the first 15 BQs starting tomorrow. Gonna hoard EXP for Cynde to try and get his HP to 6k before the end of the year. I want to try and get pet 2 to tier 9 before the month is up.

Newbie here! Coming from another website where I was HEAVY into battling... curious about stat training. Are their certain "boosts" where you begin to do more damage or defend more icons? Or should I just train all stats evenly?

(example ~ Will I do more damage at 11 STR than I will at 10 STR or do I need to train to 15 or 20 STR to see a difference in damage dealt?)

If you click the link to the weapons section, it will give you the formulas for attack per icon and block per icon that relate to your pet's strength and defense.

There is no right or wrong build for your pet. If you want to beat opponents at earlier tiers, you will want higher health. However, boosting stats can get expensive. Usually the cheapest way to grow your pet is buy growing everything evenly but there is no right or wrong way to build your pet.

I've been on a couple of other pet sites when I was younger. I have been on Subeta for 10 years now and it is by far my favorite. The artwork is beautiful, the community is very welcoming and there are a ton of different things to do. The wardrobe and battling are my two favorite things to do on subeta. The battling community is very friendly and helpful so yeah definitely encourage your friends if battling is something they like! If you need recommendations with weapons and training, let me know!

Extremely refreshing to see an open and welcoming community! Right now I am just training and doing quests and such.. I know for sure once I get higher up I'll have some weapon suggestion questions.

Are there a handful of really high end / top tier weapons on the market? I assume so.. just have not gone digging to find that answer yet lol

No, I think we're very much sticking to the 1P format. It's not so bad though, they have two new challengers every month - one free and the other in the cash shop for 250 CSC.

Yes there are some high tier weapons that are on the market, some are harder to obtain than others.

Best weapons you can buy in a shop (range from 400 mil - 3,750,000,000 bil)

Best "special" weapons - not bought in shops - made from the maniacal core that is awarded to top battlers during the gelatin war - obtained by completing the 2010 bobblehead collection - obtained by completing level 100 of the item hunter - achievement prize for beating Rouland 10 times (current morostide event) - obtained by having your pet reach T13 (22,001 total stats) - achievement for beating meatslab the furious 5 times

Hard to find/unbuyable: - awarded to the top 75 battlers during the Faded Memories plot

[edit]They aren't exactly the same as guilds on Neopets since you can join more than one and most are just used as pings to get a large group of other people's attention. There are some forum groups used like guilds though, since forum group creators can create private forums for members.

Oh wow, awesome! Thanks for all that info :o The economy here is WAY different than neopets (where I cam from).. I've only been here just over 24 hrs, so I have a LOT to learn... My main interested are definitely training/battling so, I'm glad I stumbled in here.

I too came from Neopets and haven’t looked back in the 10 years I’ve been here. I was on Neopets for 10 years before I got frozen. So yeah. Start training early. Do Quentin’s quests for Mage amulets and turn them into the Mage for tomes which are stat boosters. BQ daily and you can exchange EXP for stats. We’ll be here to assist you if we can.

Making money here is a lot easier than on subeta. Quests are a great source of income because they will either give you sP rewards, rare items you can sell in your shop, other forms of currency like tokens you can use to buy items in specialty shops, or some combination of sP and items. Unfortunately, you just missed our halloween event, but there will be many more events you can participate in! Make sure if you have your friends join, they use you as a referral so you get referral points!
