my battle pet is so close to t4! I want to say its something like a bit more than 1100/1200. i've been trying to stick to training as long as I can but wowowow is it slow, now I understand why battling is so rewarding haha.

The boppers were good practice! I like that the challengers all get a bit harder every time you go for them. i took one look at that maliss bopper and i was outta there though hahaha.

I'm happy to hear you're having fun. Battling gets more rewarding as your pet grows, even if it is slow at times, and it's worth it all of the effort.

@ Velociraptor thank you! and oh yeah, i forgot about that! I'm still trying to figure out how to train my battle pet. I was just doing strength/defense/health/speed evenly but apparently that's not the best way so i've heard? so I'm not sure anymore haha

seems like the battle community is thriving as well, i'll be sure to post here more often as i get stronger! not so sure how much people care about my mephysto/aboxalypse wins for now :'D

Battling has a strong community aspect so new faces are always welcome :) It's hard to learn everything on your own. But every accomplishment is worth of praise when they mean a lot to you :D

So when you're in the lower tiers, you may as well just train your core stats evenly. Some people say not to worry about un-even training until T12. I started training my health way harder in T11. I personally think this has made life easier for me! One thing about training your health over your other stats is that you will typically make it further in BQs, which means you can make more EXP. But Health costs more than the other stats so it's a bit of a catch 22. Don't worry about it too much this early on though! Did you check out this thread? Some great advice for the T4 weapons you will want. :)

Unfortunately I think he's broken too ;( We broke him by annoying him too much, he just couldn't handle it anymore. He doesn't even wanna fight, he just wants us to leave him alone! :C

oh sweet! that's such a useful thread. I'd been using the 'weapons guide' before that and I was a bit lost, so this is much better in terms of coherence. And ok, that's a relief! For now I'll keep training evenly and then focus more on that stuff later on then :) Is exp something I should save up until I'm a higher tier? I'm trying to take advantage of the gym until it becomes too long of a wait. or does the cost of each stat scale up anyway as your tier gets higher so it doesn't matter? I hope that makes sense ^^;;

No problem, I prefer that guide too! :) You should definitely be spending your EXP, it does cost more as you go up in tier. I don't remember the exact costs per tier (and can't seem to find that info) but for instance -

My T4 pets costs are: Strength 500 EXP Defense 500 EXP Health 600 EXP Speed 500 EXP Level 400 EXP

And my T11's costs are: Strength 1,250 EXP Defense 1,250 EXP Health 1,500 EXP Speed 1,250 EXP Level 1,000 EXP

In T13 it skyrockets, so a lot of users will save their EXP they earn late in T12 for that. :) For now, just keep chugging along and getting stronger! Use your EXP so you can kick more butts :D Training is always a good choice, it's just not worth the cost to auto-train once you hit approximately T7 (gotta check my info on that, I know it's around there).

Have you been reading books for AP as well? Scrolls are a huuuuuge help. ^_^

Oh! ok that makes sense. I'll keep spending it then :) I have been reading as well, my battle pet is also my gourmand/book pet so it works all around haha, but i'm up to about a thousand books on her. It's been super convenient because I'm already all trained up on that front for where I need to be right now, so all the scrolls have been really accessible so far. It's just a matter of figuring out which scrolls to make!

All tough wins are worth talking about if you’re proud of them ^_^ always feel free to ask for strategy tips as well if you get stuck. As for training, my first pet I trained evenly until 2,500 each stat then boosted health. For my second pet, I boosted health since T5 and strength since T7 and found he was able to tackle harder opponents at earlier tiers. Now that he’s getting close to T12, the number of opponents he can beat earlier on is diminishing.

As for exp, my first pet I would save and then boost when he got to around 1 mil saved up. I liked seeing huge jumps instead of little gains every day. I used it all before I hit T13 and started saving boosters in T12 since the cost to use exp on T13 triples.

Worth buying are some Cobalt Eternal Scrolls from the MC if you can afford them. They're once per battle, but they block a lot and can help you get that edge.

I'll definitely need some help in the future with more evenly matched fights ^^. I honestly didn't think I was going to get 25 wins on matty once I got past a certain point but here we are! my strategy has been to be all defensive on the first turn and freeze the opponent, then on the next turn use my bombs and my all-out, no-defense weapons. thennn after that I've just been hoping for the best with the rest of my weapons that are part-offense, part-defense. seemed to work so far but I'm sure I'll need to change my strategy in the future. ^^;; I think I've got a long way to go before I hit higher tiers, and I've been avoiding using any boosters so I can make the most of training but I'm wondering if it's even worth it to save them. I've got about 70 amulets saved up and 15 misc shinwa boosters but I'm wondering if it'd be better to sell the amulets and buy some nicer weapons with them, since my guess is i've got a few years before I hit t12+ haha. thanks for the exp advice btw :)

cool, sounds good! I've been wanting to buy some mc items for a while now, esp. weapons, so that's a good place to start! i've been using the Lucent Barrier scroll so far and that one's been working to give me that defensive edge I needed to get the last few kills on matty.

I've gotten TWO REs while harassing Lukien today. Got very excited both times. One was an Amulet (woohoo!) and the other was an Oracle quest. I was so stoked for the Oracle I forgot I was trying to hide out in T11 for the next month. "Luckily" she gave me 4 levels. 😒

Yeah. I'm very much hoping we don't have to go through most of another week to see if he's finally fixed :/ It's already been so long.
