We've been playing softball.. my sister had a baby 3 months ago and so we're trying to spend as much time as posible with her before she grows up too quickly!
Truthfully, I think I need someone to help me write the whole thing. :-D I didn't know you read on a reading device. I think I may need to do that too. Do you use a Kindle?
That's too funny about the heat and the snow at the same time!
Yes, Philip and Liz are always here for me!!
How's Checkers doing? (Trying to change the subject :-) )
I have used Kindles (originally a 2nd gen Kindle Keyboard, now a basic Paperwhite) for quite a few years now (maybe 6? not totally sure). My first Kindle had its battery die (wouldn't take a recharge anymore) and I failed in my attempt to replace the battery (couldn't get it open without breaking the plastic case, sadly) so I bought the light up one. Then I got a scratch on the front of the 2nd Kindle, which made a tiny dot of light on it, not noticeable in daylight but terribly irritating when reading at night, so I got a Kobo reader.
The Kindle is more reliable and easier to use, but the Kobo has a way more long lasting battery (I could probably recharge the Kobo only once a month!)
Both are pretty close in terms of ease of use, though; the Kindle is only slightly better, not a lot better.
I only read books on it that I can buy without DRM; any book that has DRM, I just buy/read the paper version. Since I read a lot of science fiction, and most science fiction books seem to be published without DRM, it's not too bad.
Like I have just about run out of space in my house for books - I have probably about the same amount or close (1500-2000 range). Maybe 2/3 of our books ones I bought and most of the others are my husband's purchases; my son has only about 50-100 books I think.
Calibre works great; it is not the most simple to use program but it has the features I want. It's especially useful if you have more than one kind of reader; it can convert non DRM books from mobi to epub to azw3 or whatever format your reader prefers.
I use FBReader ("favorite book reader") app on my phone which I can also load with Calibre (although that was harder to get working, took a few hours to figure it out how to set the FBReader library to the right place on the SD card of the phone). But I hardly ever read on my phone; only when I forgot my reader or when I purposely only took the phone because I didn't want to carry anything - the phone fits in my pocket mostly :D
Thanks for the info! :-) The long charge is def nice but if I get one I think I will go with a Kindle as that's what I use on my phone and am familiar with.
i didn't find out about it until a week later but i was like wtf, really

I've never heard of chow-chow before so I looked it up: wikipedia article about chow-chow.
Which kind did you make, the mixed vegetable kind or the mostly cabbage kind? What does it taste like?
I don't think the Kindle reader is exactly like the Kindle app, but it will definitely sync your books if you let Amazon run them both for you and do that, so you can read part of the book on one and the rest on the other without having to find your place... a lot of people seem to like that feature.
Glad she didn’t get to hurt ^^ how was your day yesterday?
That’s awesome :O I am trying to have a baby right now, unsuccessfully DX
Its good to have the support system ^^
