well. I started reading books on e-readers after my book collection got over 1400 books. i had no more room in the house for them. lol

i started with this tiny little "Palm" reader. and downloaded all these Mobipocket books I still have them. I did like you do know, I downloaded them to my computer, and than put them in the palm reader.

i have them saved on a disc, even thought I can only get to them now on my computer. (i think I'll try calibre. think i tried it before, but could never get it to work, because almost all of them are DRM protected :( stupid books/publishers)

then.... mmmmm, i can't remember what I went to next. but I remember being able to get books from both Amazon AND Barnes and Noble, that I could download and read from the apps.

then my cousin and his work partner, took me out, and bought me a tablet. they were going to buy me a kindle, but I told them I'd rather have the samsung tablet, so i could put both my apps (Amz./B&N) on it, and read from both places.

I have to admit, now. I mostly just buy from Amazon, because I like having all my books in "one" area, and most times the books are cheaper there, than at B&N

I rarely get books from any other places any more, because I can't read them in my amazon kindle app.

This time around, I want more than just a "reading device" I'm wanting to be able to do other things with it. and the ipad really leads me to believe i'll be able to do so.

yes. i can get online with my samsung. but OMG is it SLOW and it takes FOREVER to do any thing. and I STILL can't get to my wardrobe and change my clothes on it. (even though I CAN do that with the husbands 'work' tablet, that is a samsung, but a newer model then the one i own)

i can't make a new outfit, but i can at least change into something i had saved. (and since i have about 50 outfits saved. that Does help. lol)

but supposedly i play facebook games with the ipad. and i like that.

i think i saw in zooming through some place, that was talking about her phone? and how she loves her Note phone with stylus

(commercial= I LAUGHED so hard, when I saw she had written and said that she just discovered her stylus. HAHAHAAAAA = /commercial)

and I do admit, that I was seriously thinking of changing phones. (i have an iphone) just because I find that screen so interesting. (love how it's all screen!)

but i went from iphone, to samsung, back to iphone. and I'm NOT going to go to the iphone 1000 DOLLAR PHONE! geeze.

my daughter says, it doesn't matter what phone i get. i'll complain about it any way. lol

i just have a hard time, giving up my iphone. lol

so i'm keeping my old one. and maybe in a couple years, i'll have the money to upgrade, or i'll break down, (cause of course, "Witchy NEEDS the newest phone!") and go to another brand.

here it is 10am, and i Still have not had breakfast. I'm going to go fix myself one of my slushies, cause i'm starting to get a headache again.

plus i've GOT TO MOVE MY BODY! heh no wonder i can't walk. lol

Good! REALLY busy.. part of the reason I haven't really been around. But we've also just had like a crazy social life over the last 3 weeks so there's that too ;)

I figured you had written some stories or a book. I've always believed most avid readers have a book in them. My problem is I'm not a good writer but I do believe I could tell some good stories. Even typing here is a struggle for me - I've already mentioned that. :-P

Maybe your family. I handled both parents illnesses and deaths mostly alone. My hubs and daughter were by my side though.

Well if no good TV maybe I'll start reading more. I never watched TV (except as a kidlet) until I married my hubs and that and yard work are the only things he does. And he vacuums!!! :-) :-) :-)

I finished the movie, Only the Brave, and realized near the end it was based the Granite Mountain Hotshots... I dread our upcoming heat!!! Could reach 33.3333 lol Did the conversion on Google. lol

Hahahaha! I'm such a dork. Can you believe it took me that long to realize my phone has a stylus? I can hardly not use it now and it's my favorite phone ever. My daughter has an iphone and I hate it so bad! But it's good for her as you can't hardly do anything with it, so less to mess up.

you could record your stories and release them as a podcast. If they aren't too long, I'd do transcripts for you if you wanted :)
