there's a certain amount of it already going on, mostly in specialized sports gear for climbers, swimmers, etc. But I think in the future once the technology is more widely available it will happen for fashion, too!

That's an interesting question. Well I imagine something related to holograms, as this gif. When I watched this episode of Psycho Pass (my fav anime so far) and notice the little mirror that Akane's holding, I fall in love. I'd totally kill for one of those lol. As you can see on this dystopian anime, most of the characters wear clothes that can be seen these days, nothing so much extravagant.

I think we will be wearing plastic, simply because we have so much plastic wastes, lol. We might be wearing plastic foam, plastic sewn fabrics, even though we already have those now, I think in the future it will be more of a global fashion than something only exist in the fashion shows.

Take a look at this video. After watching this video some days ago, I have a feeling of we might be wearing fungi in the future, too!

Lastly, we have some avant-garde fashion designs, like this one , the designer used mainly geometric shapes and shimmering metal like textures, creating this very futuristic and eye catching look, and it looks quite practical, so this might be a option too.

I’ve got another idea, this instagram account really fits in this theme, (do not feel terrified by their body mod like clothing items though xD, from time to time they post pictures of them without their classic look, so from I know, all the things they wear are all detachable, and the eyes were 3D generated :) ), in the future I hope people are very free about what they would like to wear and express themselves more freely, clothing can be much more fun than just keep us warm, it can be drastically different and involving otherworldly body mods

tbh I was concerned for their eyes at first because their eyes are always changing colors in the photos, but once I know its all 3D generated effects I view their insta as a very inspiring one, rly hope we could have more people like them having fun making detachable body mods and wear them to the street <3

I think fashion will either continue down the path of mess and miss or go towards a renewable route. People may choose to make do with what they have and use alterations instead of buying constantly. Fabrics have definitely come a long way and many durable materials are slimmer and flexible enough to possibly be used for clothing. We may see a rise in higher-quality prosthetic limbs (for aesthetics and aiding those missing limbs already) and body modification (The Hunger Games Capital comes to mind).

I wonder if we will one day have clothes that just morph into designs at the touch of a button. Then you could just carry your entire wardrobe in the palm of your hand.

Thinking about the future reminds me of the show Altered Carbon...
