Yes, I would do it like this, think about it and have it ready when term opens. And make your starter HA, mostly required in school uniform and one at leisure. I am looking forward to your character. Mine is named Lysandra. She is a half-elf yet has still to develop most of her abilities.

I'd take the wand test but I don't want to join Pottermore. At any rate, my personal speciality is wandless magic and I definitely have a flexible wand, so probably willow. Most of the cores in wands aren't things I would want to use (no on the dragon heartstring, while I am not an animal rights person they are endangered) so IDK about that.

It is very rare for Callista to wear her house colours to parties because she's a lolita fashionista and would rather wear her frilly dresses. However, I found a non-contest avatar of her from Masquerade. (She did wear a similar outfit in a contest, but it's not the same avatar, because that avatar had a completely different background and stuff. I checked.)

Yes, they are identical twins. Yes, they are different genders. Yes, that's all I'm telling you.

If being vegan or vegetarian makes you feel better, good for you and keep on rocking it. But being on subeta is really tough sometimes if you're a confirmed omnivore/non-obligate carnivore. Everyone's polite, but the language of many posts and even more item descriptions implies that you're not as good/advanced/progressive/moral as a vegetarian/vegan if you're not. I don't want to be, and even if I did, it's extremely difficult to get enough protein without meat if you are celiac (which I am) and cannot tolerate the proteins in most grains.

I'm strongly pro-animal welfare and pro-conservation and equally strongly anti-"animal rights", and all the subeta item descriptions that have not-so-subtle animal rights messages irritate the crap out of me--things like "if you are not ready to commit to a meat-free diet..." or the endless assurances that it's FAKE FAKE FAKE fur when it's pixels and there is no question of that get up my nose. (I'd also like to see more pet wearables with happy rather than depressing or preachy flavour text, if I want a purebred cat I will get one.)

I would strongly recommend Lierre Keith's book The Vegetarian Myth to anyone who is willing to look into the other side. Thank you for coming to my TED talk and I'll try not to bring it up again if people don't try to debate me (trust me, it's not worth our time).

To both Valiska and - is there a specific age the characters should be? Like if it's 9th term, does that mean it's the beginning of 5th year (if there's 2 terms per year)? Or is it just the 9th term of the game, and all ages of students are being played at the same time?

In other words, should I make a new Hogwart's student at age 11 or 12, or should I create an older student who's been there a while but hasn't been a PC before? help me :)

I'm just a highly preferential carnivore! (Even as a celiac, I can still digest plants. They just aren't enough for me. BTW the sickest I ever was in my life from eating a thing was when I went out to dinner with my vegan cousin and I didn't know what seitan was. There's a reason it's pronounced like Satan.)

Your character can be any age between 11 and 17. It doesn't really matter for most of the game because we all get the same lessons to do--the reason I'm thinking of using one of the twins as my main next term is that Callista is 6th year and a lot of the "lessons" are things she would already know.

So if I want her to fail really badly now and again I have to go with things that she is really really bad at. For example, she is a terrible flyer, which is extra annoying because her bestie is the current Durmstrang Seeker.

If you want to do the side Accio RP thing that is not officially part of Wizarding (it's really the baby of Raven and me) you will probably want a character on the older side if you plan to do any shippy stuff.

Ahh, no, Gish is a Galah, a kind of cockatoo. She's a fruit/seed eater mostly.

I'm not (probably not) celiac but eating wheat makes me ill (digestively) and probably it's from my gut bacteria not liking it. So I feel like I understand your situation and viewpoint. :D

I poked around Wizarding (I think last year) and I got the impression that it was focused mainly on RPing and RPing stresses me out. I think I've participated in some of their HA contests they've held outside of the group before though.

Thank you for another really fun event. I really liked thinking about what my student might do through out the day/term at Hogwarts and making HAs to match. Now that I know the Sorting Hat would put me in Ravenclaw, I think I'm going to have to go with the "Brilliant Ribbons of the Blithe and Bouncy Kitten," please ;)

No shippiness is required in either RP. I tried to get something going with Callista and another character she shared a lot of common interests with but I don't think it's going to go anywhere. I think Netty and Aura could end up being friends tho.

I think Netty has some half-siblings who are purebloods, much older -- like her mother's age -- and not at all pleased to have a young half-blood half-sister. I think they have tried to pretend she does not exist.

Concerning the Wizarding RPs, no, there aren´t much. The extracurriculars are totally voluntary and gain no points to the score. I participated in my first terms one when we visited magical creatures on a field trip, that was my theme. Next term, it was not so much my interest and I concentrated on the other challenges. If you do a RP you write it all alone (say, write in RP style how you accomplish a task or master a spell) and sometimes, 2 times last turn, you have a partner RP. I only remember one RP in a bigger style and it wouldn´t have taken much of the points if you didn´t participate so don´t look at it like a bit deal. Mostly, we have HA challenges, small riddles, essays to do. <3

You are totally free to enter all contests and welcome to sell the items you gain if you have them already or don´t have a use for them. It´s all yours, they usually don´t come with a restriction and if they should, it´ll be stated in the contest. ^-^
