does anyone else think of their HA designs like you're a contestant on food network? "now, to really elevate this design, i'm going to need some pearl earrings..."

What is food network, love?

oh! it's a television channel in the US, not sure what other countries get it. it's all cooking competitions and stuff like that, in the mornings they play like actual cooking shows where they teach you how to cook, but in the evening it's all competition shows. i used to have it on literally all the time when i had free cable in college, it's something very close to my heart ^-^

it's especially great because all the competition shows are shot super dramatically like they're action movies, like it'll be like "your chicken... is undercooked!" and it'll have a dramatic shot to the chef's reaction with DUN DUN DUN playing. the editing on those things is just wild.

so that's how HA contests play in my head, basically.

Hehe, I see! We don´t have such a cook show here and I don´t know about such a channel yet perhaps in pay tv. Sounds funny!

yeah, it's pay only here too, i just got the good channels automatically with my internet package when i lived in illinois. but my mom's friend has like, every channel, so we watch it together when we catsit for her.

And do you have own critters, too?

yeah! i got a dog named watson.

he's a big scaredy cat (or scaredy dog as it were), he's really sweet though, really friendly if he isn't scared of someone. he's a big brat too, if you stop petting him he just looks at you accusingly until you start again. and constantly begs for ham.

what about you, do you have any pets?

I am owned by 4 cats, 3 Balineses and 1 Norwegian Forestcat:

Neele, she is our 14 year old Norwegian Forestcat and the last one out of our own NFO breeding back then. (working for cat rescue in Spain now). A real cat like they come, LOL. She has her own mind. And she never was ill a day until now, 15 years next May!

Lihue, our first Balinese cat, 9 now, a rescue out of a kitten mill. Lilac-tortie. Ethereal, lovely, playful and cuddly, fetches her toys all day. Our little fairy and a lightweight with only 2900 grams at her best.

Palila is 6 and the clown of the house, thinks she is a dog because she grew up with a bunch. Walks at heel like a prof. She is a very dark blue-tortie, the pic looks seal yet she is def blue. She was a birthday gift from a friend who bred Balineses (not anymore, alas, they had such a sweet temperament). It´s a very old line called Thai cats.

We got Malu, our "baby" at te moment, from one of the few Balineses breeders left in Germany. He is a lilac tabby and so lovely, sweet and playful, very affectionate and talkative. He is 1 year old now.

my SO has two cats, and i live with them half the time-- unfortunately when they move in with me & my mom they're going to leave them behind with their roommates. they're going to miss them; they're really good cats.

this is zwirling, she's very fiesty and territorial, she hasn't quite gotten used to me yet. she's very playful though, she especially likes playing with light. she'll chase the lazer pointer all over the place. and she's so cute.

and this is stephan, he's very anxious and a little dim. he's very sweet though. he's kind of zwirling's opposite, he's very cuddly and is very bad at playing, he will just sort of slowly bap things once or twice if you dangle them for him. he is soooo soft.

Oh, very cute! And they sound like a good pair! <3 I love b&w cats and redheads and torties with white especially when it comes to colors. This was my beloved cat Kea, we adopted her and her brother who lived with our neighbors from Spain. I miss her very much, she was a soul mate and all you can look into a cat for:

And that is Tana, he was best friend of Palila and crossed the rainbow bridge after one year of chemotherapy bc of lymphoma, he was a gem:

oh, they're beautiful. so silky! the last picture makes them look like a couple of nature spirits.

They are all my little pixies, some bigger, some smaller, LOL.

i am! i was able to get from somebody's item trade forum, which i'm delighted about. i love that in the middle of all the subeta art there's just a photo of Nicole Richie. she's now the minion of my ringleader pet. also i'm loving the gourd witch items, they're very much my aesthetic.

I do! I have a big crybaby of a dog, named Cricket. She's currently all curled up beside me cause it's a little chilly downstairs.

I also have three rats, but they're impossible to get pictures of. The little buggers are very fast, but super loving. The white one, Ophelia, loves to groom people. She lick your nose, ears, fingers, eyes...
