the lag seems much better today. I still get some application errors and a hanging page every now and then but I finished my quests faster than the past few days. You have 193 crystals to spend! Just bought the horns and roses horns I wanted, huzzah! If only I had an avatar though XD It's weird, I have it in the wardrobe, and at first my hover preview avatar was broken but it came back, but still not my live avatar...

Since the lag is getting better all the time I don't know if fireside itself will be postponed much longer. People are definitely wondering about the writing contest. No one could have imagined the maintenance aftermath would be so rough though...

I know, I'm sure staff didn't anticipate it being this bad either, but at least a lot of the issues have been fixed, and I know they're still working on it, so hopefully just another few days or so maybe and we can get underway.

At least with the writing contest, it was pretty much just a little blurb people had to write, so I think most people probably already have a submission ready to go. We'll just need to wait for submissions to actually open and double check the rules and extra info and all that.

I haven't had a chance to quest today, but so far it seems a little better. I hope we wont have any issues for the next event. Every update/change seems to cause more/different issues. update Ugh I spoke too soon. I didn't think my post would ever go through! Questing is a pain! Very laggy :(

I forgot all about the writing contest. I am not a writer at all :( Is there a reason to just participate?

Well the requirement is only 600 characters, which comes out to something like 90-100 words, depending on word length and stuff (because that also includes spaces and punctuation). It would just be like a small paragraph, like some of the slightly longer item descriptions.

As for the prizes:

• 12 lucky winners will have their entries used in Alexander’s upcoming storybook collection and will receive a complimentary copy of the entire set of books.

• All participants will receive a storybook themed to their entry category and a special forum title.

So even if you don't win, you still get a little something for participating. It's not meant to be a fully fleshed out story or anything though, maybe even just like a quick intro or a hook to catch people's interest and entice them to read more (if it was part of an actual storybook, anyway).

Hello, finally got my av back with the help of and a dedicated thread. Now we can see the av I made for the horns and roses horns for a little while before fireside xD

Yep, I wrote my submission the night it was announced. No idea if it's anything what they were looking for but I like to get participation prizes at least.

Looking forward to black friday more, I need that and a few other things I have my eye on, the abundant morty cards helped stock me up.

Checked the item directory earlier today and saw two challenger loots I didn't see before. Wonder if they're waiting to get the battling/bq glitch fixed before releasing someone.

The extra Morty Cards were really nice! I got a decent amount of CSC from that, although there aren't too many Cash Shop items I'm thinking of getting during Black Friday. At least for now, it depends on what else they bring back lol.

And yeah, I know said they were working on the battling issues, so hopefully they can fix that soon. I'm pretty sure that is what they're waiting on, since the first loot item has been in the directory for like a week now. It wouldn't be much fun to figure out the unlock method when we wouldn't be able to battle correctly.

I like to buy as much as I can during BF, or at least a lot of cheaper (less than 100csc) items from trunks for my pet treasures. ooh, I didn't notice it was there for a while now xD I was looking for signs of fireside when I saw it. Yea, I finally unlocked major drills from the achievement a few days ago but I can't battle him properly yet.

That battle problem and broken training alerts are the next things I want to see fixed the most. Haven't been able to take advantage of reduced training time because I always forget on my own. :(

Yeah if they bring back some of the cheaper collection items (like beanbags, plushies, and stuff), I may use some of my extra CSC to get some of those. And it's also an excuse to pick up some wearables that I may not actually use much since they're on sale. :P

I know, I hope the site can be back to normal soon. At least it seems like the lag has mostly been taken care of.

Yeah I hear you on that one! Glad you are doing better. I love the Lumi event. It is going to be weird this year since Fireside is going to be going on at the same time. Maybe for the first week? Not really sure how it is going to work. I guess we have to wait and see.
