Thankfully I got the bulbs for only $9. It was changing it that was the pain. I managed to finally get the lining moved so I could get to the bulb, but then I couldn't get the dang thing to come out!! Today I finally got it out (started on it last night) but then I couldn't get the bulb itself to pop out! It was a miracle I got the bulb out without breaking the dang thing.

Hey and Hi everyone! Raining and storming here. Not a great start to the weekend.

It's warm and cloudy here. I have a feeling it's going to rain soon. I just want a nice stretch of sun though. It's been cool and rainy for most of May with a few days here and there of sun and warmth. I do appreciate the warm temps though.

The weather here can't make up it's mind as usual. One day it is 63 and the very next day it is 81 and then back down to 70. It is trying to alternate between spring and fall lol.

We've already been hitting 90 or close to it for the past couple of weeks lol. Just got a new AC system for our house this past week though, and it's so much nicer than the old one. Definitely helps it feel better inside!

Ugh that is way too hot for me! I would be vegging inside in front of the air lol.

That's pretty much how May was and it rained almost the entire month...

I anticipate those temps in the next few weeks. Thank Goodness for Central Air

I don't know how people did it back before air conditioning was a thing, I probably would have just stayed in bed all day because it would be too hot to move.

My husband did not have fans OR air conditioners in his place when I moved in. I called him insane and promptly bought some window fans. We bought one air conditioner when our first child was born. Thankfully it was a one story ranch so only one air conditioner was necessary. He also didn't have any air conditioning in his old Saturn. He bought his car like that to save money o_0... We fight when it starts getting warmer. He would rather wait until mid July or so to turn on the central air. I turn it on usually in mid June.

I understand that. I have some friends in the Mid West who have been pelted with rain. One friend in Texas is seriously considering moving out of state because she STILL has not recovered from Harvey and all her hard work fixing her house is for naught because it's flooded again...

I have 12 windows downstairs that are pretty easy to clean, it's just getting the motivation to clean them when I know dirt will just blow right back into them within a week. The windows upstairs are so easy to clean since they are older. I hate when people paint over screws, do they think that those screws never need to come out again ever? I hate the blinds that we have. They are a pain to deal with. The blinds in the bedroom get stuck when you pull them up and then come back down unevenly. We've had a few days without rain but more rain is in the forecast. We've had so much rain in the past few months that some of the hills in one of our pastures slid in two spots, taking out part of the fence and blocking the road down to the lower part of the pasture. The only good thing about the rain means that's it's slow at the diner because no one is out at the lake. I have no idea, but I don't think Chris would want to drive a 4-hour roundtrip every Sunday just to see his mom. She's probably disappointed because it means he can't go to church but we haven't been to church frequently in years. Right now, it's up in the air on if we will be available on Labor Day. Chris thinks he might have that day off but will have the option to work and get paid more for working a holiday. We told them that they can use some of their vacation days to come out and visit us (because we know they should have a fair amount) and got told that they are saving their vacation days for other things. So basically we have to drop everything and take time off whenever they are available. His dad and youngest brother came out on Memorial Day and gave us a day's notice that they were coming out. Chris had the day off but I worked in the afternoon. We told them to be here at noon and they showed up at 12:30, so we ate late. Then Chris taught his youngest brother how to shoot. After I left for work, they grilled steak (which we provided) and all his dad had brought were small red potatoes, corn on the cob and an onion....so we provided the most expensive thing.....and I had to wash all dishes. I stopped in a couple weeks ago when I needed to refuel my pickup and told the secretary that I can't work during wheat harvest. She was bummed and tried to get me to change my mind, then kept asking me if I knew anyone who could help on the scale. I don't and all she has to do is advertise in the paper and at co-op that they need someone to work on the scale. The one time that I tried contacts, I got one in no problem, the other one I dropped and then took forever to get it in. Then it took forever to get them out. I'll just stick with glasses even though they are a pain sometimes. I still haven't re-dyed my hair. I've been too busy and I don't want the color to bleed onto my work shirts. I'm still considering bangs, but if I get tired of them it will take a long time for them to grow out. I didn't like the way they ended it with Steve and Tony, especially how Steve just popped up in the forest not far from where he had left everyone, older and without the time travel band. If it ends up that he has been Peggy's unknown husband all along, great, but if he hasn't then he just created an alternate timeline. I probably won't watch many more Marvel movies. I'll watch the next Spiderman, the third Guardians of the Galaxy and I'll maybe watch the next Black Panther movie and Antman movie (if there is one). Detective Pikachu was so good! I'll def be buying it when it comes out on blu-ray. I really want a stuffed Pikachu that looks like Pikachu in the movie. I'd like to have a dog of my own. Ruger prefers Chris and she always behaves better and listens better when he is around. I just don't think I'll be getting a dog of my own anytime soon.

I still need to figure out what frames I want to get. I've been meaning to look whenever I go to Walmart, then I end up forgetting or not having time. I know that oval-shaped frames don't look good on me, they only worked when I was a kid. My husband liked the coffee tables that have a built-in touchscreen, but I don't know they those even exist anymore. We will probably have a coffee table in our sitting room when we get our own house but won't have one in our living room. He is until he scratches you or bites you. I bought him a crinkly tunnel Saturday and he enjoys running through that and sometimes just hangs out in it. I had side bangs in high school and I liked them until my senior year. Then they seemed to be in the way all the time because they were too short to go into a ponytail. I haven't tried out bangs again because if I don't like them it will take forever for them to grow out and match the rest of my hair.
