when I worked in a fancy clothing shop, one of my colleagues pinned my suit trousers so I could take advantage of the store's offer to have them taken up (we had a tailoring company come and collect all the alterations three times a week, and staff got a discount). Unfortunately, my colleague had decided that trouser hems should be almost on the ground when you're wearing shoes - I stood on the hem & ended up catching some of the threads, so the hem started falling down 😊 I got them redone a bit shorter after that :P

Yeah the one I originally got came with a crappy filter and lights. I bought the new filter and heater, but the lights alone are like $30, which is the price of the cheap kit with cheap tank. Awww, that's a shame. =( You might be allergic to birds with powder down, like my dad. Doves, pigeons, cockatiels, cockatoos, greys, and Amazons all have powder down, but not all birds do. For example, budgies and lorikeets and a number of other birds do not. :-) Oh man, I did some birthday splurging or I would, but I'm going to hold off for now. xD Thanks for the heads up, though! <3 I like your HA today, is someone having trouble with devil's snare? xD

yeah and we aren't 100% sure since I tested negative years ago to feathers, but my cockatiel gave me problems. But I was reading a thing saying if you are allergic to bird dander that it is on all feathers. So putting a bird in my room isn't a great idea, especially with the cats. Plus finding a spot in my room could be problematic. It's a small room, so avoiding the heating vent and window could be a problem and if I put him/her where my old bird was, I'd have to move the entire room just to make the other furniture work. But I REALLY want a budgie. -sighs-

nods that's very true - it was £12 I think for regular customers, but staff got it done for £7. Mum said she didn't want to try taking the trousers up herself though (given the retail price of the suit, she was too scared to attempt it!), and seeing as the suit jacket sleeves always needed shortening, it made more sense to get the trousers to be done at the same time ;)

I am not sure if it was a specific Lumi friend release though, or if it was one she had an extra copy of and noticed it was on my WL. xD Yeah, we will probably have to MAKE room for the flight cage. xD They are long, so they usually take up a good amount of space. Taller cages can be tricky to find, too.
It was! I noticed that most of the pigeons at the show were pretty mellow, and used to being handled. :-)
