The tanks look beautiful, you put together such pretty tanks! :D Wow, Nautica did get big! She's so cute. xD I love your birdie HA today! :-) We were wearing the same budgie there for a bit, heehee. Oh, I forgot to tell you my revelation! (, you might be interested to hear this, too) I found out on Sunday, after having Disco for 5 years... he's actually a she! o.o She laid her first egg Sunday night, much to my surprise. She also gave me an awful scare, because she was bleeding after she laid the egg, and I thought she may have prolapsed. We tried calling at least 6 different emergency vets all over the state (it was about 1:30am, so our regular vet was not in his office), but none of them had an avian vet available. Disco was still acting like herself, so the lady on the phone at the last emergency clinic we called said to wait until morning and go to our regular vet. As you can imagine, I barely slept. I called the vet in the morning and they fit her in right away. They sedated her and took x-rays, and it turns out she is fine. They said everything looks good and she is really healthy otherwise, just the strain of the first egg was hard on her, I guess. They gave me some medicine to give her for a week for the inflammation. It is liquid and lemon flavored, so luckily she really likes it. She's been looking for more every morning after I giver her her dose. xD

Paddy: I love your neutral colors today, that bunny hood is really cute! :-)

She really is! That bright blue is lovely. Haha, I approve of all the birds, of course. ;) So am I, I was beside myself! Yeah, silly birdie. xD She was licking the syringe looking for more. We kept the egg, it's in the fridge for now, lol. I didn't have the heart to get rid of it. Since we don't have any male birds, it's obviously not viable, same as the chicken eggs. It was really round, no wonder it hurt her. :(

Yeah and the first one too. Poor thing. 5 five years old odd for her to lay her first egg?

well that's planning ahead with the HA then ;) And speaking of HAs, I love the bird theme today :D hands the budgie some millet :K at least you've had rain - it's been annoyingly dry here so far.... if we have another summer like last year, we'll definitely have hosepipe bans I think :P and the HA theme continues 😇

Nautica looks great! Does she approve of the new tank? ;) And the other tank is looking amazing :D How many shrimp will you have space for in there?

I can just about get a straightish line instead of it being jagged, but it always ends up on a diagonal rather than horizontal across the base of the pjs 😊 o.O

you're acing all these colour co-ordinated HAs! The peachy shades all work amazingly well :D 😮 I bet that came as a shock!! I guess there's not a simple way to tell with Disco like you can with a budgie (although I'm sure one of our previous budgies (Bertie) was actually female - s/he was named before the cere had changed colour and seeing as it started out blue, we assumed s/he was a boy 😊) That's a good job the medicine is something Disco approves of :D Hopefully she won't be too uncomfortable after that, and won't lay again (is there a way of discouraging a bird from laying?)

whoa, that's a big change for her! No wonder she's happier in the larger tank now! :D :D

Thanks :D Niamh wanted it to snow, but I think she needs to work on her weather spells, seeing as she had a bit more snow land on her than she'd anticipated :P

yeah we noticed she wasn't moving around a lot so since we weren't sure if the 10 gallon would break from faulty workmanship we decided to upgrade her and just swap the 10 gallon out. Makes the most sense. she does look slightly annoyed haha

that definitely was a good idea to upgrade it - can you use that ten gallon one for anything else (like plants or something), or is that one going out for scrap seeing as you aren't sure how well the seals will hold?

hehe more worried that she might not be able to stop the snowfall :P

oh we threw it away and someone took it, but I don't want to risk it breaking. But the heater, lights and filter are on the new tank for shrimp $15 is worth the replacement price to know it won't break. haha thatd be fun :P

I thought you all might like to see photos from the pigeon show my husband and I went to today. :D The birds are judged by breed standards, just like at a dog show. Since my birthday is tomorrow and the show was today, it worked out pretty well. There were all kinds of pigeon breeds I had never seen before. I ended up bringing one home, too. xD I'm very predictable that way.

Pigeon Show You'll have to forgive me, I don't recall the names of every breed, but I'll try to do my best!

I don't recall the name of this one, but it was a laced... something. xD

Fantail pigeons, I think:

I think this one is a nun pigeon:

This is a king pigeon. It's hard to tell from the photo, but these guys are really big! They reminded me of chickens. :D

These were called Archangels, they were really beautiful. All of their feathers were iridescent:

I forget what this breed was called, very pretty, though. It's hard to tell from the photo, but the whole head is iridescent purple:

A frillback pigeon, I really like these:

A swallow pigeon, look how feathery the feet are!

And this is the cute baby I brought home. Her name is Iris, and she's a crested tippler pigeon. <3

Raven: The blue is really something else, I love it. :D Yes, I'll have to get Disco some berries or honey to make up for the medicine when it's gone. She finishes it tomorrow. :-) Yeah, go figure the bird I got today is also a female. xD It is kind of odd for her to not have laid earlier. The vet said it can be random, though.

Paddy: Thank you! I had to try out the new sweater. ;) I'm loving your snowy/aurora look today, too! It was a huge shock! Yes, lorikeets are not really sexually dimorphic like budgies, meaning the males and females look the same. I had assumed Disco was male because of behaviors she exhibited, and the lack of egg laying... until last weekend. xD This is why I choose ambiguous names unless I know for sure at the start whether or not they are male or female, haha! Aww, poor Bertie. xD We have a female Phil (now short for Phyllis) because my husband wanted to name his cockatiel before her adult plumage came in. I advised him to pick something neutral... but he didn't listen. 😂 lol

Yes, I'm hoping she won't lay again! I had to move her to a different room a few weeks ago, because our heater hasn't always been kicking on. The room I moved her to we have a space heater in, so it stays warm. However, it is a darker room, because we don't have many windows in there, and no overhead lighting. I think the light level in the room might have something to do with it. Once our heat is fixed, we can move her back to her normal, sunny spot. ;)

They really are! Thanks, I thought she was beautiful, too. <3 There were lots of pigeons to choose from, but I loved her coloration, and I thought she had a sweet face. :D Yes, I love diamond doves! I used to have a pair when I was in high school. They are such sweet, tiny things. She will indeed. Disco doesn't mess around when it comes to what she wants. xD I really do, just an excuse to get more birdies. 😂 I thought so, too! Oh, thank you! <3

Iris is so cute! <3 All of those pigeons are amazing! There are a few you showed that are so gorgeous, I wish they were wild around my house!! lol HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! throws confetti in the air

I love all those pictures, they are so cute! Nautica is getting big, is she allowed to get that big? ;) lol Your gupper family is so cute too, I love those little fishes! Interesting about the level of snow - we only get it in the mountains that are kind of a drive away. I am doing ok. Mostly worried about this strange new pain I've been having in my upper abdomen, but I am going to the Dr on the 22 and hopefully they'll have answers. I hope they don't want to check my stomach/gallbladder/etc. out via scope (all the blood tests and non-invasive tests came back standard) - that worries me. Outside of that things are pretty even. How are you doing?

Thanks for the compliment on my monochrome - I had not tried black and white in over two years (I think) so I thought I would give it a go. So do you tend to get more sleet than snow that sticks? We get neither... lol I love your purple HA!

I have always wanted to visit Norway - super bad. Maybe one day. I had the opportunity to backpack across it once with a friend a long time ago but had to pass sadly, I do regret that! What do you like (and or dislike) most about the clime and such where you live? In southern California it is very mild/warm here, all things considered. We don't get snow only in the mountains that are a kind of long drive away but still in California (The Sierras and other lesser mountain ranges of the desert regions and some in the coastal regions). I used to live near San Francisco, and we did get dustings of snow about once every 10 years or so, but mostly it was really hot summers and mild-cold foggy wet winters in the SF Bay Area where I used to live. Now I have super hot summers and mild-dry winters. I rather liked the fog/wet more though.

Thanks for the heads-up on the gore, I think I'll avoid it for now then. I have not had a chance to start anything new yet, though the good dr, stranger things, and station 19 are on the top of my list.

Hope you are having a good Sunday. :) I spent the day at my mums, had dinner and a short walk. :)

That always happen to me as well and its annoying. :P At least its not a huge deal if pjs arent perfect as you only wear them indoors anyways. :)

Ohh, that is cool that you been wanting to visit our country. :) I find that a lot of people dont know a whole lot about it. lol Its picturesque here with some beautiful nature! I live not too far away from the Pulpit Rock (which is featured in the latest mission impossible movie actually- only in the movie they say its in India or something lol) and the Kjeragbolten. Which is also quite well known! both amazing scenery and hikes well worth the effort if you are up for it. :) We got some stunning fjords. ^_^ So taking a cruise along the fjords is highly recommended too, and Oslo is a great place to visit too- with viking ship museums and lots of things to see and do! :)

I do love the city I live in, Stavanger, but I prefer the more big city life in Oslo where I lived for many years. The climate is Oslo is a bit better too. We get a lot of wind and rain here- I am used to it tho so it doesnt bother me that much. :)

I am dying to visit the US here. NY is high up on my list, and cities like LA. And to visit Raven here too. :nods: And I got a cousin that lives in Texas, which be fun too! :D I need a huge budget. lol San Fran sounds amazing too! :D Sounds like you moved around a bit too, like I have. Other than the climate, do you like it where you live now? :)

Hope you enjoy those shows. Let me know what you think! :D :D :D

Thank you :) Hasn’t she? I’m so surprised seeing her nearly double in size. So cute. I’m so happy with my guppies too :D they are cute and small and so many colours :) We get a lot in the mountains too. But here, it’s still enough to get oh, a snowfall at least once every 4 years or so.
Oh I hope its nothing terrible. Please lemme know how that goes! –snuggles— I’m doing alright :)

Watching American football and questing ^.^ so yes, doing well. Sounds like a nice time :D
