yeah, they aren't all that great on shipping prices! But if you can find somewhere that stocks that brand of thread locally, they might be able to get some glow-in-the-dark thread in for you, maybe? :) ooo that's going to look fantastic with the floral-y designs :D
I hadn't ever noticed that heart on it before! Shows how much attention I paid to things 😊 :P
ooo that's a nifty HA-less outfit today - is that a new background? Thanks :D I thought I'd go through the wardrobe and make use of some of the tops I haven't used in a while ;)
Finally got K's hoodie finished today, I used the new rib for the cuffs, and the original thin rib for the waistband, but I doubled up the fabric so it's four layers instead of two.... that seems to work much better (and if it lasts for lots of wears, it's cheaper than the new rib I got too) :D Just got my hoodie to finish now (cuffs and waistband on that too :P)
hehe I was much the same when I started knitting, although I have sifted some UFOs and yarn out to pass on to other people now, which freed up a bit of space ;) Sometimes a ball of really nice yarn is the hardest thing to think of something to use it for - you want something that's really worthy of the yarn, but you're also a bit wary of making a mess of whatever project :P

I am in so much pain. -sniffs- Went to walmart but they didn't want to do anything because it was an online order and past the 90 days so I have to take it up with walmart.com. So we bought a 20 gallon for Nautica because she's kinda out grown the 10. We bought a new 10 gallon for the babies and I set it all up just now. I'm waiting to move Nautica till I buy a stand in two weeks for her new tank. Then I'll get rid of the crappy, low quality one and replace with at $15 one (hopefully) on Christmas day and use the hood and filter for the shrimp tank I'd like. babies will go in soon. Not sure about sick one yet.
I am so tired.... still haven't slept.
Paddy, Mum sent it back to me. shes kinda quit. It looks cute. sounds like you've been productive! :) pinkpanther it was good I think
That stinks that Walmart don't want to take responsibility - definitely write them a snotty email, because a faulty item (at least in this country - guessing it's the same with over there) shouldn't have a timescale before they don't want to know. It's not like the glass for the tank went cloudy, or just something cosmetic that wouldn't affect the critters living in it :K Hopefully that'll all work out well, and all the fish (and everything else!) will be happy in their tanks ;)
Aww that she's almost quit - I was thinking I hadn't seen her about much on here lately.
I didn't bother with the hand sewing on my hoodie today (and K's hoodie needs a few little stitches at the front to just hold down the binding), but hopefully I can do both of those on Thursday, then that's another two UFOs finished :D

That is really funny that you never noticed the heart. I noticed it because my mom loves hearts so I see them everywhere. :P I am more a fan of circles or star shapes than hearts though, in general.
How is your garden btw - is it all in winter form yet? Mine is still trying to grow believe it or not. There isn't enough sun and warmth to encourage much new growth but a lot of plants are still trying to do their thing.
I love your HA because I love that BG A LOT. I love it alone too it gives such a different empty feeling, like someone has just run down the road and vanished out of sight. I hope you start to feel better soon! hugs

I really really extremely want:hehe it never dawned on me to look closely at it laughs
I haven't been to the allotment for a few weeks, but Dad's still been picking raspberries. I need to get the baby strawberry plants in pots before the winter hits (we're due frost this week), and that'll probably be the end of the raspberries for the year once it gets frosty, but there's still some fennel to pick I think :) The celery didn't grow enough - I think the hot dry summer wasn't the weather it needed to get growing, so that'll just be dug up and put into the compost bin.

nods I probably just notice also because I was so sad when Pluto was demoted so I followed the fly by of the space craft closely. :) Wow, raspberries?! How exciting! Both of my raspberry pants died, literally just keeled over. So now I have to find a new variety. I was really hopeful for that one because it claimed to be good to my clime zone and growable without thorns in a pot - it was a dream come true! What kind do you have, do you know? Also do you know if they grow from clippings or only from runners/roots from branches? I am thinking of putting in some strawberries next spring. I have one corner area in my garden that is mostly shade but not super cool -- NOTHING will grow there. I have tried a lot of different things to no avail (squashes, blueberries, and even weeds! lol). Any ideas? I just planted a Burgundy Wedding Train coleus plant there today to see if it will take hold or not. I've been growing the coleus from clippings.
I love the smell of fennel! Where do your strawberry plants go in the winter, to your house? In the house I used to live in, in the bay area Ca, outside of SF the strawberries overwintered in the ground and were just fine because we almost never got any frosty temperatures. I think we got a dusting of snow twice in 30 years. LOL
I just finished scrubbing half of the tile floor and am not pretty tired - especially with the horrible migraine I had yesterday! My grasping-the-scrubber-finger feels like it might get a blister... If not then I'll finish the other half in a few days. What are you up to this week?
OH btw I love your new HA with that cute cute starry silkie!

I really really extremely want:Yeah it generally is the same so not happy. If the tank hadn't gone, I wouldn't have lost one shrimp and possibly this other baby--not to mention having to arrange another tank for two tanks since I'm sure the one Nautica is in will break and I don't want a repeat of this "fun"
well she was kinda bored but also so busy too.
Sounds like a plan and yay for 2 ufos done. I didn't really get to keep to my plans today.
thanks sweetie. Imma gonna copy and paste lol it's a nice long drama.
had a "fun" night. My baby betta tank broke. No idea why or what happened. HUGE MESS! I got the babies, the snail and one of the shrimp out. One shrimp is mia so presumed dead. But could've been worse. All are in a bag floating in my 20 to keep them heated. Gonna have to go first thing and buy a new tank
A few hours later, I think one of my babies is dying. She doesn't look to good, but there's literally nothing I can do until 7am at the earliest. 😢. I was a nightmare and I'm still stressed. And worried about Nautica's tank now too because it's the same make and I can see how the seal broke, as couldn't find any other thing it could have broken from. It definitely wasn't the filter, since the water went below that (which could've damaged it too.) And all that water into the cat box, clay mud all over the place took ages to clean up. I was on my knees cleaning it up so I could get the mop out since. There was at least a half inch of standing water too. It was awful. I really don't want a repeat of this. I can't believe there's no outside seal! I've never seen that on a tank before. EVER. I'm gonna see if the box is still downstairs and see if I can return the lid and tank. If I can, maybe I can put the money towards a tank for Nautica and replace her tank with a 10 gallon but give it to the babies. So I got the idea to take Sadie out and put her in a dixie cup with water from the floating bag. She's in her old tank sitting in the cup and looks a little better. I'm hoping just being away from the other two will help her. I can get a tank separator too. Oh my yes, it was sopping wet. OOOH and for extra fun, I did bathe the dog before tea. Today, I am in so much pain. Then I'll get rid of the crappy, low quality one and replace with at $15 one (hopefully) on Christmas day and use the hood and filter for the shrimp tank I'd like. babies will go in soon. Not sure about sick one yet. I am so tired.... still haven't slept. I did just put the sick baby into a vase with the marino balls and some salt. She didn't eat so not sure. Doing all I can. I'm hoping to get some good sleep tonight.
Wow, that is a horrible mess! O.O Seriously, IDK how you managed to take it all in and clean it up without freaking out at least a little bit! Or did you just keep it on the inside? hugs
I really hope you can figure out the cause of the problem and avoid it from happening again in the future to other tanks. I bet the cats were a mess too, if they strayed into the wet litter box.

I really really extremely want:are we talking about cats?! I love cats!
Yes it was awful. LOL yeah I didn't keep it together. I was crying and did snap too. I appologised for snapping but It was not fun.
nope thankfully cats weren't affected.
It looks like it is just a cheap tank than didn't have sealant around the outside--only thinly on the inside. :/
hehe Pluto's demotion was the main reason I bought that background ;)
Aww that's a shame with the raspberry plants :( All I know is that mine are autumn fruiting - they get cut back to ground level after they finish fruiting, then grow back in the spring (Summer fruiting ones fruit on the previous year's growth, so they don't get cut back in the same way). Mine produce runners.... lots and lots of runners :P If I let them, they'd happily take over the entire allotment! They grow semi-wild across about 10 of the plots on the site, so I don't think anyone really knows what variety they really are ;)
Strawberries should do well, I reckon - just make sure they aren't planted too deep (that's what killed 10 of my white fruiting strawberries - they rotted as Dad had planted them too deep :K), and give them plenty of water ;) We keep the strawberries in the ground (well, in raised beds) over winter - I just cut back most of the foliage so it encourages the plant to go dormant during the cold. Last winter we had heavy snow in March (we don't normally get heavy snow at all), but out of three raised beds, two survived without having any shelter at all, and the allotment plot is on an exposed north-facing slope, so the wind can feel quite biting!
We've got herb fennel growing next to the compost bins - haven't ever used it in cookery, but it covers the smell of the compost bin when the lid's removed :P
I'll ask Mum what she reckons for shade, seeing as our garden is quite shady in places ;)
oooo that's a neat outfit today, what's the sweater you've used? Yeah, you definitely don't want the same thing to happen again with Nautica's tank! And I'm not surprised your plans didn't work for the day!

Thanks. Oh this is I love it and most of my males love music so it worked. Looks like Ambition is selling her copy. I'm not either really. I walked over 3,000 steps in just going to the shops to get the new tank for the babies, not counting all the cleanup work or re-set up. I'm in so much pain. I imagine I'll feel this for several days. I'm hoping I can relax and re-group myself. Interesting ha you've got. Werewolfunicorn?
That is a good idea. :) Sometimes it helps googling patterns for leftover yarn too. :) there are some creative ideas out there. :)
For sure! Its the same if I have some really lovely paper for scrapbooking too. so worried about messing it up. :P Usually frogging will leave the yarn fully usable tho from my experience at least, so thats good. :)
Aww, sounds stressful and exhausting. Hope today is a bit more chil. :hugs: My friend is coming from Oslo today. so I am excited to see her. Staying here for a week. :D

I never realized that planting strawberries too deep would be a problem to kill them. Thanks for letting me know, I'll keep that in mind! I hate root rot. I've had several plants die from that just this year, it made me sad. :-( So you just cover the strawberries up or leave them to get covered with snow? It doesn't' kill them to be covered in snow? I am impressed!
I love how hardy the raspberries sound. I wish mine had been like that! Do you know if your soil is more loose (less clay, more organic matter) or firm (more clay)? I tried to amend my soil with organic matter because it is mostly clay and most of the plants were getting too soggy in their roots.
I can imagine snapping and crying - it would be me too! hugs I am sure everyone was understanding. How are things going today? I like your new HA with that music sweater!

I really really extremely want:it definitely suits them all :D I'm not surprised! hands over a mug of hot chocolate with extra marshmallows Any chance of doing nothing for the next few days, or are you stuck with needing to do grocery shopping? hehe I have no idea - I think RP-Paddy drank a potion that turned her into half a unicorn :P 😇
that's a good idea! :D I never managed to frog yarn and reuse it - I think my stitches were a lot tighter than they should've been 😊
ooo that's great use of the window background today :D nods if you buy them in soil rather than bare-rooted, then you need to plant them at the same level again (which really does look way too shallow), to make sure they aren't too deep. I have them covered with a net to stop the deer eating them, but I don't bother with fleece or anything. They seem pretty hardy ;) I might cover my 'fancy' white fruiting ones if we're due snow, as I'm not too sure how hardy they are though. It's clay - heavy clay! The raised beds have a mixture of multi-purpose compost, home-made compost and some grit-sand for drainage, which works quite well as that hasn't got boggy even in a wet summer. Before I had the raised beds, my strawberry patch just turned into a marshy patch during a wet spell, so there was no way that would work without the raised beds!
The raspberries are at the bottom end of my plot, and I think the rain tends to just run down to the plot below mine, as that doesn't tend to get boggy there. I've added three bags of manure to the soil in March for the last few years for the raspberries - that definitely helps, but for the 6 or so years before that, I didn't do anything other than pull up any grass and weeds that were growing in with them. ;)

It sure was -sigh- lost the baby I was worried about too :( lol well I had some drama today as well. Was trying to bake my pumpkin pies. Dad got a box of pastry shells from the freezer only didn't check the date. I waited 1 1/2 to let it defrost only to find it terrible and unusable then saw it was a year out of date. Waited for another box for said time frame. It too was out of date -_- So dad went and bought a new box so I didn't have to waste another 1 1/2 to get the pies in. I'm glad cos they take over 3 hours to cool. Ooh sounds like fun :) enjoy your visitor <3
thanks
well read above for today's little drama. Tomorrow is T-day so will need to help cos mum's sick.
haha nice.
yes everyone was very understanding. Had more problems today. Read Pinkpanther's comment. hope you are well. Aww thank you :) I love your window/room ha ^.^
Hopefully Thanksgiving lunch goes well, and that the pumpkin pies were a success in the end! Maybe the potion RP-Paddy drank would also explain why there's a firework looking like it's coming out of the end of the Unicorn horn :P

everything was super yummy. I'm stuffed haha. lol and the side effect of the medicine turned her into a reindeer :D cute ha
hehe I'm pleased it was all suitably yummy :D laughs I was stuck for ideas yesterday, could you tell? :P ooo I love the dragony look today - are those scales part of the skin, or is it an item or two? ;)
