That aside, thank everything it wasn't an actual attack. And thank you and everyone else for figuring it out and working on fixing it! It's much better today, but there's still the odd 504 page, and laggy, slow loads.

Also, wondering if it's possible to update the status site?

Is the list of things (Web Servers, Avatar Servers, mySQL, etc.) automatically updated, or is it manual, like the message about the last big chunk of lag and 504s back in mid-October? I know it says "If we are aware of any issues, there will be information about them here!", but it's not clear if that's about the "we know about error XYZ and are investigating and working on it" message, or if it's also for the various site bits'n'bobs in the list. [sub]Or am I being a derp again?[/sub]

It's been really laggy for everyone unfortunately. It's starting to smooth out.

Everything is manually updated, and that last update (from october) was me. I never remembered to go back and update it again. I'll go update it now.

That is the main problem with the status site. In theory it is a good idea, but in practice we are bad at remembering to update it - usually cuz we're so preoccupied with actually addressing whatever problem we are in the middle of D:

[edit] I just updated it, and created an incident report (resolved!) for yesterday's thingy. I bookmarked it as well, right next to my blackheart hollow bookmark, and will make an effort to update it more frequently from now on :)

Yeah, the status site is useful for users, but it sounds tedious to keep track of it while also trying to fix what's going on, or at least trying to control it. )x If there's any way to automate the part of it that keeps tabs on which parts of the site are operational and which are having issues, that might help at least a little? idk, I'm a scrub when it comes to these things.

I was going to post to say the lag was back.... then the site went down for a few minutes so I hoped it would be resolved.... but no, the lag is back with a vengeance :(

Same here once again the lag is back, very slow if any loading of pages and lots of 504 errors as well.

It's been very, very laggy for me all morning - particularly on the forums - but I'm not getting cloudflare or Terracoons. Instead, I'm getting "HTTP ERROR 503."

Thankful it's not just me! I haven't had any errors (yet) just hair-pulling lag. I'm not going to even attempt quests until this is resolved. One thing we all know is staff will see that happens as soon as possible.

Of course lag on the morning/afternoon I could actually try to get some stuff done on subeta.
