I wish for the world that our leaders would actually have the best interests of the people at heart. At the minute in the UK the government are pushing ahead with Brexit knowing that the people are going to suffer. They're cutting money from the sick and the poor while giving themselves second and third houses and massive tax breaks.

The people we elect to speak for us should actually care about us.

In my opinion a country should be ruled by a council. The Health sector should be governed by trained Doctors and Nurses. Decisions for the Fire services should be made by firefighters. It doesn't make sense that the people controlling these sectors have no idea what the jobs actually involve. sigh

and don't even get me started on the people in charge in other countries.. GLOBAL WARMING IS A THING and you can't just decide it's not because you don't like it.

pretty much.. there isn't much he won't eat! Whenever we go out to eat if I end up not liking what I've ordered we switch meals. He'll eat anything and yet he stays the same weight no matter what.. kinda unfair really!

Oh, hard question. I could go in a French bakery and buy everything on display, I think (by manner of speech!). I love croissants and madeleines. I’m also just a bread person. But I guess, if I had to pick one thing, it would be macaroons. I wish I had a decent oven so I could try making it myself! Do you love certain (French) bakery goodies?

That… that is a hard question, haha. There are many breeds of chickens I like (how cute are silkies!), but I think we’ll likely just adopt chickens again who came from a battery farm (it’s too easy to break my heart, poor little critters). What kind of chickens do you still have now, aside from your tiny poofball? And are there chickens you would love to have in your family (or recommend perhaps)?

Gosh, this is a hard question!

First off, I just wish corruption was not a thing. Secondly, I wish people were less nationalistic, xenophobic and racist. Thirdly, that people would actually care about the environment, animals and plants and everything alike.

I was born in South Africa in 1995, so basically in the aftermath of Apartheid. My parents, thankfully, were never of the opinion that being white made you a better person, so I grew up in an environment that mostly was all about equality. However, many of my extended family are either straight up racist or subconciously do the same things as they always have, not doing anything against racism. When I was six, we moved from SA to Germany, as my dad got a job there and we were then subjected to strings of xenophobia; government officials wanted to put my siblings into the lower level schools, since there an assumption that they would be too "slow" to keep up. Sadly, this elitism is a common problem in the German school system and it leads to the "hauptschule" usually being full of immigrant kids and just furthers a problem, because you need to have a higher level of high school education to attend university, which you are expected to do bc elitism. There's way more things that I could go on and on about, but it just makes me tired.

It's so frustrating to look at different countries in the world and to just see so much shit happening. Why do people not care for conservation? Why is healthcare not a right? Why do politicians still remain corrupt as fuck, etc etc

On a lighter not - I wish I had focused on art earlier in my life, as I was too shy and afraid to show any interest when I was younger. Now I need to catch up a lot.

Here is my response to the question... There are a few things that I would like to change about the world. 1st would be Hate. There is way too much of it. I don't understand it. There is so much going on in the world that stems from hate that I can never catch my breath before the next attack. It's not only shootings. There is so much bullying going on in schools and online. I feel like people should be above all that by now.
2nd I would change everyone's perspective who seems to have a sense of entitlement. Like they think the world owes them something. I think this is a huge problem. I have seen so many videos about road rage. It usually comes down to the drivers think they are entitled to drive a certain way. When they can't, they take it out on the person stopping them. It's really very scary! 3rd I would change the way animals are treated. Now I know not all animals are treated badly! I think that the human race collectively needs to respect animals and not treat them as if they are below us. We need better laws in place to protect endangered species and we need to make more land for habitats for them.

I would love to change how the world thinks, if that were possible.. There's too much of thinking individually, but I'm not even talking about one person, I mean it's like every country thinks of themselves, and while that's okay to a certain extent..we all live on this planet together, and so I think we should all be working together for the good of all who live here.

for me, i wish technology would stop progressing. we have better things to worry about like diseases, illnesses and cancer.. and the environment! i would like my kids to be able to grow up in a world like is free of deadly air and nature still standing. i'm no good at writing my thoughts down.

also wish people would just stop mistreating animals, if you're not gonna be their family, don't get 'em.

If I could change anything, it would be healthcare for the poor. I want for every person to be able to visit the doctor or ER. And some countries are doing better than others. As far as I know in scandinavia for example healthcare is awesome and every person is able to get at least some medical help. People should not have to deceide between food or a necessary operation.

i wish mental illness didnt exist, i wish my friends didnt suffer, i wish my family didnt suffer, no one deserves to be torn apart from the inside and it hurts me so deeply seeing other people hurting, even if i am too i wish horrible tragedies didnt just happen, i wish freak accidents werent a thing, i wish no one to lose a family member too soon i wish the polar bears werent dying i wish people understood how vast our impact on the environment was i wish people were more open, compassionate, and understanding

on a more personal note i wish my grandpa wasn't sick, he now cant come down for christmas and it will be the first time since i was born that my grandparents werent with me for the holiday i also wish my boy lived closer to me because we both go through rough times and being so far from each other it hurts because i want to comfort him when life treats him poorly and i want him here comforting me when im struggling i wish life never gave my mother a bad day, as she only deserves pure happiness she is such a kind and caring person its absolute dogshit that she receive anything less than happiness

I wish that healthcare was free as well, that people weren't as greedy as they are (I believe that greed is the driving force behind so many of our problems), for the world as a whole to stop producing so much waste and pollution, and for things such as basic insurance, education and rent to not be so expensive.

And while I respect everyone's opinions, I really wish that Donald Trump wasn't president. I think his administration is doing much more harm than good, but I'm not going to get into it for the sake of not offending anyone.

Of course, I also wish there was more chocolate. I love chocolate; in fact, I'm having some right now.

I try to stay away from controversial topics like politics and religion on public forums, but I'll stick my toe in the water on this occasion.

I wish we lived in a society where sexual harassment and abuse wasn't brushed off as "boys being boys." I've heard everything from "you're taking it too seriously," to "why didn't you say something if you didn't like it?" It seems like there's no good response, no way to handle it if you're a woman (or a man, in some cases) who's being harassed or hit on by someone in a position of power.

I've been groped in elevators, told by a legislator that I had the most kissable lips he'd ever seen, blatantly hit on by another lobbyist in the presence of my boss...and that's just a few incidences.

I want to live in a world where it's not okay for men (or sometimes women) in power to abuse it like that. I hope that as my generation raises their children, we'll teach them to be respectful of others. Of everyone.

This is such a tough question because there is no one best answer - education, environment, animal rights, kindness, empathy, health care, mental heath, racism, consent, harassment - it all needs to be a priority.

Maybe this event/topic is the answer - I wish everyone could "be a friend" to everyone else.

I wish we could get others to do it. One of my friends throw beer bottles away when they come over and I got onto them. I would usually pull them out of the trash and finally when I griped at them they started recycling at least at my house lol!!

That would be great if only that was possible. :(

I wish people were more open minded. I see so much stuff on the internet where people are offended by everything. i wish this wasn't so. Wouldn't the world be a much more beautiful place if we could all put in a little effort to understand one another and not take offense at every little thing they read on the internet. I know this is a heated topic for some and i hope no does to take offense to this. Basically, i wish we could all just get along and respect each other's differences instead of being offended by them

Yeah cocktails are crazy expensive most of the time and for some reason they're always better if someone else makes them lol I think I'm gonna try a few one of those $1 Long Island Iced Teas on Monday - they also have a burger and endless french fries deal on Mondays so maybe I'll do that too ;) I've never actually had a Long Island Iced Tea before so I'm looking forward to trying it ;)

Sometimes it feels like the moral of the story with GoT is that if you're the 'nice guy' you're gonna DIE! lol Wow a tattoo after a month? shakes head I get family members and pets but not 'love' connections, not even after years unless you want a permanent reminder of them after things go wrong and even if you get a cover tattoo, you know what's under there rolls eyes lol Oh thank you - my kitty loves compliments ;)

I'm not sure I've ever been to good French Bakery (just sort of French bakeries in the US midwest) but man I love fresh well made BREAD. When I was little I used to get palmier cookies at 'french bakery.' I've never had a fresh macaroon - I bet that's super good, because even the ones you get in packages in the stores are yummy. When it comes to American bakery I love a good raised donut with glaze or chocolate frosting. Or a good cake donut with chocolate or maple frosting. There used to be a Dutch Style Bakery that made the most delicious Dutch Letters (which is basically sugar coated puff pastry wrapped around sweet almond paste/marzipan) and Almond Tarts - they were sooo good.

And I'm still trying to decide on my response to the new prompt - I'll try to remember to get it done before the deadline....
