I wish that there was no such thing as nuclear weapons if I could change that then I would feel a bit more safer .

I mean... you're not wrong. They definitely have the power completely.
Omg holy crap. I'm so sorry. :(

If I could change one thing. It would be love and respect for the family. It starts in the home and trickles out to the community. Education should be supplemented at home. Care for the elderly. It’s a tough question and love the topics you’ve cited. Education. Healthcare. Nuclear weapons. Pollution. Thank you for bringing this insightful topic up.
Thank you for your kind words.

Hmm, respect. I think I would change the way we see each other so that no matter where you come from or who you are we are all equally respected. This would give us all a voice, keep away a lot of violence, and give a lot of equality, in my opinion. If we are all respected how can we dismiss other people's problems or make the world worse for them in the future. Yeah, a lot of the troubles in the world seem to come down to lack of respect for people or their issues.
Congratulations on the name change. You are now known as Chat! Note: Because you took an existing username, cache may take a few minutes to load on things like the user hover!
Cultural Respect, the incident in Fl made me truly sad where the guy was hate calling a Mosque, threatening to shoot those who attended or blow it up...wtf? I have some issues with parts of the Koran but you don't threaten people because they believe differently beat me to it but I completely agree (that includes culture, ethnicity and creed
IKR! I'm kicking myself for just going after a gaming laptop on Black Friday
Formerly known as Habeebi
Yeah Deep-Sea Prisoner doesn't want any let's plays up of the game (I don't think they want one of any of their games) I'm surprised no one told him that, DSP is pretty strict on that front.
If I could change one thing I would change how people view mental illness. People with depression are not lazy, people with schizophrenia aren't dangerous, people with BPD aren't awful people etc I could go into more detail but I feel like most of you know what I mean
Yeah so for me the last heathcare was actually better lol
I should have gone for a laptop too lol!! Next year!!
First time actively participating in this event. ^^
I kinda took this question seriously. I was gonna go for a long winded response but I'll try to keep it simple.
I wish karma was more clear and immediate.
I do believe in karma. You reap what you sow. I think if people's bad behavior received an immediate equal response, lots of people would change their attitude. I've been reading loads of the wishes so far, and while I do agree with most, I feel lots of the wishes are things we are capable of, we just haven't done them yet, for one excuse or another. I believe our problem is "taking action" or the lack of it. And I think the first step in doing so would be correcting our behavior.
I wish they made bigger juiceboxes for my adult-sized thirst >:C
Sorry that's all I've got, but I really don't want to think about actual serious problems rn for a variety of reasons... I guess, more generally, I'm pretty frustrated about useful products being marketed toward specific demographics, and people buying into that so much that they judge you for wanting something that's "for girls"/"for kids"/etc.
excited Chinese waving I moved to Canada when I was 8! I don't visit family as often as I used to because I got sick literally every single time I did, but yeah the internet censorship is the worst.
I do one a week to try to build good habits. I put a sticky note over my office desk, my home desk, and my bathroom mirror. I do a few of them multiple times. One thing I did was for a week go out of my way to wind down before going to bed at a reasonable time to try and get a good nights sleep. Then I did it again about a month later. Now I think about it a little more automatically, even when it isn't my weekly go-out-of-my-way "be better" topic. Way easier to focus on one thing a week than to try and make big changes or lots of changes.
Sweet! The universe knows you did the right thing :)
Definitely! I say we band together o/
I definitely know what you mean. I come from a family with a genetic predisposition to mental illness. As soon as people know that one of my family members is bipolar or has schizophrenia, their view of them goes down. It doesn't matter if they know them well or barely at all, it happens 99% of the time.
You're absolutely right. Our problem is lack of taking action which is rooted in our behavior. We need to change the way we interact with each other and the world on a major level. I call it mindfulness but I like the way you described it in regards to karma too :)
Yep, I hope for a world where discovering someone has a mental illness doesn't change how you think of them. Even people with the best intentions make judgements, often without intending to.
North Korea. Or on a broader level eliminating discrimination / eliminating borders of the heart if I'm being particularly melodramatic.
It should not be okay for a country to systematically degrade its people for freaking decades while the rest of the world watches and says welp not my problem because they're worried about the economy or mass migration. It really speaks volumes.
I recently read a book called River in Darkness: One Man's Escape from North Korea (by Masaji Ishikawa) and it was sickening. I knew what was happening. I knew about Juche and the caste system. About the less off people starving and eating weeds (or worse) to get by. But somehow the personal story made me cry a river and hit more of a nerve as all personal things tend to do. ;__;
the most heartbreaking thing, don't read if you wanna read the book
After he escapes to Japan, he's discriminated against, struggles to hold a job and can't get his family over from North Korea. He struggles to eat "normal portions" out of guilt and on occasion he goes down to the sea to toss his rice at seagulls in a symbolic attempt to give his family food. He wonders if escaping was worth it because he's not with them, that maybe he'd rather starve but be with his family than get by in a country which doesn't consider him a citizen (and he's half-Japanese and was born in Japan to boot).
Basically I don't know what kind of world we live in where an entire if you want to call it country can do this. I feel like if this crap happened in a western country it would have had a public outcry eons ago. I'm saddened, I'm horrified at the things I've taken for granted, I wish I could help but I feel helpless and I hate that. I can start by not discriminating and being pro-migration / pro-refugee but I feel like that does jack all.
Anyway, yeah, would love an end to this crap. I'm sorry this got all serious and dramatic fast. .___. and please don't consider me for a prize, I just wanted to rant / spread the word a bit more, thanks
I wish that people were capable of caring for each other and their environment responsibly without the need for governments and religions to tell them how to behave. I wish people would decide we are all one race... the Human race, and we all need to learn to survive together on this fragile little planet.
American astronaut Douglas H. Wheelock observed that human-made borders and demarcation lines evaporate in thin air when viewed from a porthole of the International Space Station. “I wish I could drag our president. I wish I could drag our congress up here [to the ISS] to see this. Just take a look and you see that thin blue line [atmosphere]. That’s all of our next breath… It’s like biting into an apple and looking at the thickness of the skin. It’s even thinner than that proportionally. And when you see that you begin to realize how fragile we are as humans. And maybe there’s more to this existence than survival or providing for ourselves... We’re all breathing the same air. We can draw borders, but from space you can’t see them,”
omg yes your cat post is THE BEST ❤️
Ok, serious answer here and a kind of a biggy: I'd like to cancel out all the damage humanity has done to the environment. I have a young daughter and pretty much the only thing I wish for her future is that she can live a long and happy life that's not cut short by the insanely selfish and thoughtless acts of previous generations.
More empathy.
If people cared more and tried to understand eachother more, instead of being blinded by greed and (only) personal motivations, the world would definitely change as a result of that.
Also, all changes start within, so if everyone changed a little, things would improve fast. There is so much focus on the self that it feels like the world lost itself.
I wish for more tolerance and empathy so that all the people of the world would be on good terms with one another. I always wonder why we listen and look for extraterrestial species yet don´t manage to get along with the other people on our planet as a start.....
I also wish there wouldn´t be any more animal experiments and vivisections. There are so much better cell models nowadays and often, experimenting companies refuse to buy them because of the prime costs even when the work is much cheaper in the end and so much more considerate and replicable. Millions of lab animals die a horrible and often pointless death and in most of the cases, it could be prevented.

if there's something i could change it would be insecurity! everyone around me (including myself) is so insecure, and i have yet to meet a person who genuinely thinks they're good enough. so i would change that! i wish it were easier for people to feel happy about themselves and how they are / look / etc. i do think modesty is good, but i wish the world would place just a little less emphasis on it; it's okay to be confident!
i also read some comments about education being really expensive; it's not as bad here by far as it is in america, but i wish education could be free worldwide. same for healthcare.
is he a human garbage can? cx that's so convenient. you could just try whatever you want and if you don't like it, you could give it to him! :> and thank you!! ;o; i won the tights here and i had to use them, so pretty!
yeah, they had to remove a cat from the group; he was fine but then he broke his leg and when he came back from recovery, the other cats didn't like him anymore ): i had a great time! the cats were pretty aloof and distant and most of them dodged upon being pet, but it was still nice to watch them walk around and snooze. toe beans!
