A few items come to mind... and and a wouldn't you? I sang this with my mom during her last years with us. I would do it to cheer her up after my dad's passing. She would always feel better after we sang silly songs like this one. It will be a year next week since we lost her.

your boys made me squee!! Love that pic! I have been on the hunt for a male kitten for over a year now. The right one hasn't come by me yet. I have two girls though. One is 15 and the other one is 3. The younger one torments the older one, so I figure I'd get her a playmate to keep her occupied lol.

What a cute little chicken! As a kid I once had a little chicken as well. She looked a lot like that Lacey Chicken Plushie, only black. Sadly she died when the other chickens suddenly turned on her… But she lives on in memory. How old is your Macaw? Those birds are always impressive to me.

Oh that story… poor Bebe… It really is devastating having to lose a pet that way. I also lost my first dog, around age 10 (maybe 9?) and came home to the news. It’s something you don’t forget, I guess?

My doggo is 13 y/o now and gosh losing her scares me so much. ;-;

I joined subeta and was all lost. First thing I did was to check Lamour Parlor and I remember seeing this and think. God. That website is damn fantastic.

This may seem ridiculously silly and sappy, but it was the very first gift that someone sent me on Subeta. That person and I have been friends ever since! <3

This item will always hold a special place in my heart as well. Morostide was my very first site event and I was so overwhelmed by all of it. A great group of people took me under their wing and not only helped me through it, but got me a bunch of achievements in the process.

- I had no idea that Genie tribute item existed :o I had to go and buy one for myself. It instantly brought back all of those emotions I experienced when I heard of his passing and his suffering. The tweet that morning that said it all:

This is the first present I received from someone here, and I remember thinking, oh my goodness, what a funny item/site. lol Unfortunately, that person is gone from the site now, and we no longer communicate. When I see it, the item makes me think of friends and people who have disappeared from my life, for one reason or another.

reminds me of a cat I still miss every day <3 is an item I've commissioned in memory of my grandfather that passed away, he had a connection with birds for as long as I can remember and there was a dove in front of the house on the day he passed away. is another item I commissioned. This one was made in memory of my grandmother that has passed away. is an item a friend commissioned, I got a copy as a gift since she had it made especially for me in the period that my grandmother passed away. is an item I commissioned to give copies to my friends on site. They have been amazing <3

I remember once when we were kids me and my brother went to a petting zoo with an older cousin and my Mother joked before we left that we better not come home with a goat.. we came home with a chicken instead. We walked in with the boz and it was obviously so light that she thought there was nothing in it.. the screech she let out when she opened that box will live with me forever! Hilarious! We had my Dad build a coup and a run in the garden and Tikka lived quite happily there till my Dad got an allotment and more chickens so she could have some friends :)

You've got me thinking that I need to buy a squid plushie for my son. He has bears and foxes and all sorts of animals.. but no squid! I'm gonna have to go searching on eBay or something!

I'm a massive fangirl too! I get totally swept up in TV shows and movies and my husband has to remind me sometimes that they're not real. I get obsessive sometimes haha.

I miss my old Neopets guild. I'm still facebook friends with two of the members but the guild leader and myself had a bit of a falling out so we don't talk any more. It's a shame what's happened to the site though, there's just nothing to keep my attention over there.

I still sing that song to my kids, my Nana taught it to me and I had forgotten about it till I saw those items on the site.

this item makes me think of my family in sweden especially my grandparents who are no longer with us. my grandpa passed last year and this particular time of year makes me a little sad because all the years after my grandma died he would come for thanksgiving or christmas and last year was the first year he wasn't around. he was one of the best people out there <3

i wasn't the biggest fans of gumballs but this kind of machine just makes me feel nostalgic and think about all the times when i was little kid and would use one of these machines or ones like it. my dad had a friend who owned what i think was a hockey related store that we would always be in especially when my dad needs to sharped his or my brother's skates. i was friends with his daughter and we always use these machines every time i was there. i haven't seen her or her dad since back then because her dad and my dad had a falling out. i hope she is doing well in life cause we were really close.

i'm still in mourning that orphan black ended. love the sestras and tatiana maslany<3

These all look so much like my cat Enyah! The CW more than Barrels, though Barrels has very accurate coloring to my cat. She's 14.5 years old and I've had her my entire life. She is VERY important to me - she's definitely family. I have GAD (generalized anxiety disorder - basically, I have a ridiculously overactive fight/flight/freeze response) and depression and she has been there for me through all the hardest points of my life. She's the sweetest little thing, and is aptly nicknamed "Angel." She's been through a hell of a lot herself so every day with her is precious, because there were multiple times when she was so sick that we thought she wouldn't make it. Once, the vet even told us that a lot of people put their pets down at that point (hepatic lipidosis - fatty liver), but she'd pulled through before, so we nursed her back to health. She's very healthy now, despite her hyperthyroidism (treated with a prescription food), and is as cuddly and adorable as ever.

This item is my childhood. It sparks many memories for me.
