This item reminds me of the time my boyfriend came to visit me, and he was there for my US citizenship ceremony. To celebrate, we went on a tour around my city (led by me, one of the worst people with direction). We went to this Japanese BBQ restaurant and went wild ordering strawberry lemonade drinks. Each glass cost $5 and the drinks alone cost us $15, expensive for two broke derps around the city, plus 70 dollars for the rest of the dinner (with two bad avocado salads and lots of salmon & beef) and delicious smores for desserts * w *

I know, I know, picking my own item like a scrub. I commissioned this sweet bunny doll based on a giant fluffy bunny I have in real life, that is from an ex of mine. Though I no longer talk to the sender, the bunny doll is still special to me. It is always open for a hug or a snuggle when I feel super crappy on some days.

Omgosh your little chicken bb was precious looking. A friend of mine has a lap chicken and a rescue skunk. Such an odd pair but too cute to boot as well.

What a good prompt! You're right, so many of the items on here have amazing art and descriptions, and it would be hard to pick favorites. I personally collect both rat and betta items, as those have been some of my favorite pets, and I wish I was in a place health-wise where I could keep up with pets like that again, but alas. I also find so many apparel items incredibly inspiring, both as the icon art and as the actual apparel item, and I have such a hard time redoing my HA because I just want to put ALL the items on at once. But some of the things I like the best overall are:

They all catch my eye immediately and then keep my interest either by the name or the item description. Lots of stuff on Subeta does that, honestly. If anyone at all is curious, I have a gallery shop full of stuff that reminds me of myself or is meaningful to me in some way, and a lot of it (mostly the food items) is there purely because of the icon art.

[Center][Item=King Kitty Golden Crown] This item reminds me of my cat Stars who passed away years ago. The item is most likely a tribute to something completely different, but when i see it, it becomes special to me. He was the ruling kitty of the house for years, and it was so painful to lose him. I owned the item for a brief period, but felt terrible holding onto it and not putting it to use. I ended up selling it in hopes that other users would put it to use.

Is an item that reminds me of my grandma. In general anything with pearl in its name on here reminds me of her <3 she passed on awhile back its always sad to lose someone but she left me with a lot of good memories so I will never ever forget her.

We met 4 years ago, when I was moving from florida. I was taking a greyhound with my sister to nc and he missed his bus from my home town so he got delayed. He was wearing a Deadpool shirt which is how I found the courage to talk to him. I'll be honest, I was instantly attracted to him. I didn't know what it was, just something about him seemed right. He was in a relationship at the time and we remained friends. I've never been the type to horn in on a relationship so I keptbmy distance, shoved my feels down and kept going.

Sept of 2016 we got back in touch and it just went from there. In January I went down to see him for his birthday and we officially started dating. I also went back in July and met his parents who adore me and have been super supportive of us.

I'm having some scary health issues atm so he's prepping stuff to try to come see me and so I can get moved to Daytona, hopefully by March. ^_^

He's unlike anyone I've ever known or been with; when wer togeher it's like being home. :)

My eldest child loved pandas when she was little. This item inspired me to make her a panda hat for Christmas. It was years ago , but she still has the hat. My middle child loved Kingdom Hearts as a child. We once created a Kingdom Hearts themed birthday party, in which I made a Heartless pinata and my father made a 4 foot Keyblade to swing at it. It was too heavy for kids to swing, but he still has his keyblade. The pinata didn't last an hour. My youngest loves Dr. Who. We watched it together when she was younger.

Ironically the Frosted Cat Figurine is one of my favorite items on the site because it reminds me so much of my precious kitty, Gunner. It and any other cat related things on the site are what I seek out and hoard. The Dancing Chicken actually reminds me of this one video my boyfriend showed me and has sorta become a bit of a meme in our circle of friends, lol. The Flower Pincushion always makes me think of my mom, and how we always sew together. The Slicing Light of Blood makes me smile when I see it due to Star Wars being my boyfriends favorite movies, and my whole family revolves around Disney! :) TBH there are a ton of things that I associate with those I love or fond memories but those are the first ones that came to mind after seeing the post ^^;

Oh my goodness your Gunner is so beautiful! When I was little we had a kitty that looked a lot like him. He was a wonderful cat. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of him on my computer so I can't share :(

Basically all of my favorite (emotional) items are kitty items: I love the "Spilled Ball Of Paper" because it reminds me of my current kitty. She's a little hellion so a photobomb item is perfect for her lol

I love the "Guardian Angel Cat Sweater V2" because it reminds me of my sweetest, loyalist kitty ever and it's name and description are just perfect. Unfortunately he passed two years ago and I still miss him so much. But I'm so grateful to have had him in my life for nearly 20 years.

I wish I could own a pet but this apartment I live at is no pets allowed do to a few bad people not taking care of their pets and letting them use the bathroom everywhere. I only owned a cat once in my whole life my cat was named NUGGET and she was the most perfect cat but I found her and we put up flyers and no one ever claimed her, well like a couple months later some man drove by our house and came out the car and told me it was his elderly sisters cat. I was so heart broken, ever since then I never really got a cat.

Reminds me of Naruto the anime. Growing up as a kid, I barely watched tv but this was the one show I'd always make sure I was there for. Sadly it doesn't air on TV channels anymore, but I will always remember and treasure those moments of excitement and waiting for something you love. This anime means a lot more to me than just entertainment. It has taught me tons of life lessons (which is kinda really cute), but most importantly I was able to become closer to someone by having this anime to bond over with and to this day we're still great friends

One of the first dog CWs I've ever seen and I instantly fell in love. It reminds me of my dog Bebe. My mom had him before I was born and died when I was..maybe 10? It was devastating, I was out for the weekend visiting my dad and my mom told me to stay an extra day at his house and I never wondered why. : / came home to the news and cried all day during class. Seeing this cute little thing makes me remember how he'd sleep next to my bed and how (forgive me) I'd poke him during his nap. I miss my little buddy ;~;

I have a semi-realistic squid plushie about the same colour and size from the Smithsonian museum of natural history! I've always loved cephalopods and I think it was the first squid plushie I'd ever encountered, so I immediately fell in love. I used to take it to class, which started some interesting conversations ("is that a pencil case?" "no, it's a squid"), and I'm in university now but I still occasionally do when I need some emotional support...

Her name is mister squid (first name mister last name squid) because I like to be contrary.

Speaking of shirts for kitties. My current kitty ----> Can be a real wild cat and when she gets too out of control we put her 'naughty shirt' on (it's just a regular pet shirt) and it helps her calm down. So who knows there might even be an unexpected upside to dressing your kitty up lol

because it is a memorial item for a beloved cat belonging to the friend who brought me to subeta in the first place. Even though we live in different parts of the world and may never meet in person, she has a big place in my heart, and so does her cat who is no longer with her but in spirit.
