anyways my original thing i was going to talk about is that i have an octopus plush - i asked for one for christmas a couple years back, but my mom didn't realize this one was rather small until it shipped.

Had to think here as I am not sure that this is how my brain makes connections. Mostly the items on here are just lovely or cool or so darn cute. I love them for them.
My maternal grandmother was from Kansas and when she talked to me about that state somehow all I think of it sunflowers. I know it is the sunflower state, but I just picture it as one giant sunflower field.
My sister has always been kind of represented by the moon to me and I think she kind of started that, but I don't remember how. She also was a big help teaching me to read and love books.
My mom loves dragons, what can I say, she has good taste. All the dragon items make me think of her and there are a ton of them. I have had three pet bunnies, one at a time. One is still with us and he is wonderful and sweet and very well behaved. Anyway all the bunnies on the site. All the bunnies. The carved stone just is a really good smile maker representative.

I've beaten ultra moon, including the postgame! It made some unnecessary changes to the main plot that I wasn't a fan of, but other than that it's a fantastic game. It might be a bit laggy if you have an old 3DS, though; I have a shiny new XL and it still has some trouble with one of the new minigames.

Honestly, I think the actual canon explanation for Lillie's resemblance to Nihilego (her mother was so obsessed with Ultra Beasts that she made Lillie dress like that) is way more chilling and narratively impactful than any sort of transformation gimmick could've been.

you're absolutely right on the lillie thing. i actually just got ultra moon and am not far in it, and havent played sun or moon, but i know just enough about lillie to know that she is my adoptive daughter and i will be her good parent that she needs because she is wonderful. octopi are wonderful creatures that are BARELY ever portrayed in all their weirdness. people forget the beak, or the siphon, or make two siphons. horizontal pupils are really cool looking and really need to be in more designs and, yknow, renditions of the animals that have them. they're gorgeous

I chose this one both because it was a birthday gift for me from one of my favorite people ever, , and because it is rainbowy and gay, which are two of my favorite things ever. While I don't have a ton of close friends on this site, the ones I do have really mean the world to me.

This is an item I released for the ever lovely 's bday gift. The description says: "Pine Valley isn't exactly the corner of Hollywood and Vine," which is from All My Children. We connected initially over All My Children, and her noticing I had a pet named Erica Kane. My pet is named after my girlfriend, who was named after Erica Kane. It is small things like that in our community that really warm my small heart, and I think I really lucked out meeting JAY in general. She has such a pure heart and is so kind. I really appreciate her and the friendship she's offered me.

This item is just SO darn cute. It reminds me of , as she's sent me so many that my vault is piling up. If you want to talk about another sweet, pure spirit, she's one.

I probably could go on for hours, but I'll contain myself. I love all my friends here and hope for more to come :)

Honestly, I don't really mind the unrealistic cephalopod plushies. Features of other animals often get dropped or simplified in plushies too, and cephalopods are so alien that it's even harder to get everything right. I'm just miffed that even the plushes that are supposed to be realistic don't tend to have everything >>

Did you know that octopuses actually have an autonomous response that orients their pupils to be horizontal, regardless of how the rest of the body is positioned? I don't think you could do that with a plushie =P

I met my gf on Tumblr in December of 2013, and only like, sort of talked to her from afar (She was in a few relationships between us meeting)... but I literally could never get her out of my mind and she was my fav part of every day and FINALLY in May of 2015, we ended up swapping numbers and texting and she was like, is it bad that i've always been more excited to talk to you than anyone elsE??? and then we started dating ONLINE the next month, and a year later she moved in after a few visits ___

Speaking of her, all of these things remind me of her, I should have mentioned them earlier:

She is my best friend and my other half. She is the type of person who is just always so kind and so sweet, and I have no idea how I had so many shitty relationships before her. It was like until the point of meeting her, I didn't realize how right it was. She loves all things space and ocean related, and obsesses over makeup (and zombies). She also obsesses over our toy poodle, bindi!

ALSO reminds me of my sweet kitty burma! she's been the first pet I ever had on my own and has had a few health problems and ran away briefly once, but she is so flipping sweet. She barks/chatters at birds, plays fetch, and drools like a dog. She holds the very dearest space of my heart.

I'm originally from China (: My citizenship ceremony was in a large courthouse, and there was a super long line when my boyfriend and I got there at around 7:30 in the morning. When we got in they took away our phones and they put the people who were going to be naturalized in a separate room from the guests. The guests were only allowed to watch from a large TV screen at this particular courthouse, and from a cold room too. I pretty much sat in the courtroom waiting for 3 hours while shivering even though it was a warm August day. They really turned the AC up so everyone was freezing, even the people who brought jackets. My boyfriend fell asleep at one point because we had to wait hours for the latecomers and the judge to show up. I pretty much just ran out of the room once I got my certificate and gave my boyfriend a hug because I was freezing :')

and omgs, I am happy for you and your gf ^__^ your story gives me hope that one day I can be with my bf in real life. I met my boyfriend online too, and it took me a year to finally accept his feelings for me (poor guy ; v ; ) I always felt that he and I would make a perfect couple and turns out I was right c: we're currently dating online but we finally met up this year and we hope to move in some time after I graduate from college!

Okay it's not a PERSON, but the reminds me of my cat, Micah, who is also a spotty gray tabby and loves to throw himself across my shoulders even though he is way too big for it these days (He's over fifteen pounds). I raised him after his mother abandoned him when he was only a couple weeks old, and he is very dear to my heart, so I was super thrilled when I realized how well it matched him.

As for items that reminds me of people, all the Doctor Who tribute items remind me of my little sister. She has, like, an encyclopaedic knowledge of the series (both Classic and New), and even though I don't watch the show I know so much trivia because I was the only person she had to talk about it with for a long time. She's moved away from the series in recent years, but the tributes still give me the warm fuzzies whenever I see one of them.

going right on into that conversation with , sorry if i'm being intrusive ;; but oh my gosh. that weird invisible string phenomenon is 100% A Thing - i met ryan in eighth grade in like... 2011 i think, and it sounds super dumb, but literally the first thing i thought when i saw him is 'that boy is going to break my heart', lmao. i had no idea who he was, he transferred into the school that year, and we both basically proceeded to be really good friends and break each others' hearts by dating other stupid people for the next two years x3 but i had this habit of sneaking out and going walking at dumb times of the morning (insomnia + easily bored) so one time right after sophomore year ended, i asked him to come walk with me even though it was probably somewhere around 4-5 am, and that became a habit since he's just as much of an insomniac, so i'd basically never sleep during the summers and even some of the school year because we'd sneak out and walk and look at stars and play on the swings on the playground of my elementary school (it's about 1000 feet from my house). so by the time we went back to school for junior year we were basically inseparable, and that turned into everyone thinking we were dating, which turned into us dating x3 it's additionally crazy because his parents are divorced, and his mom moved a few times. he absolutely hates his dad for a lot of reasons but he chose to stay with him instead of going with his mom and his brother so that he could stay in the same school as me, and this happened multiple times before we were even super close. i don't understand it but that invisible string is definitely there ❤️ ^ sorry for that novel, i'm just a sap x3
