Fallout 3 has been my favorite so far in the series, but be prepared to get sucked in. You don't just play, you live it =p I don't even want to fathom how many in game hours I have. My favorite thing to do is to go around punching deathclaws xD

BQs have been very tedious lately. I am doing them, but I keep losing motivation and being side tracked by working on my pets outside of battling.

I've never played any other Fallout, so I hope I there's no reference to previous games, but I've been enjoying it so far ^^ I am still having trouble understanding the navigation bar LOL

I battled my first Deathclaw yesterday in Concord, and it was bugged LOL! I snuck up close to where it was underground and started shooting... he never went above ground :P

They are all meant to be stand alone games so you don't have to play the others to follow the storyline for 4. The brotherhood of steel always make an appearance in the other games. The factions for the brotherhood are all different though. In Fallout 4 and New Vegas the brotherhood's sole purpose is to preserve technology and knowledge whereas the faction in fallout 3 opted to help civilians instead of preserve knowledge.

You mean the compass on your pip boy? The green bars are friendlies where the red bars are enemies. As you improve your skills, your ability to detect opponents at farther distances increases. All of Bethesda's open world games are super glitchy. That's what happens when you cram in a lot of content and items =p I haven't played 4 in a long time. I still have a bunch of perks I need to get. I have a perk that allows me to run people over in my power armor and another that sends people flying when I land from a high distance in my power suit xD

Wow that's neat ! Not the pip boy, but the green navigation bar on the bottom of the screen when I'm walking around in the world. It's kind of like a compass, and it has symbols on it (like for the vault 111, sanctuary, etc.)

Your perks sounds pretty neat :P I have gone for some extra power, lockpicking, and charisma :P Just 3 levels LOL

Okay....200 amulets to the mage....

36 Tomes (add that to the nine Tomes I have already, that puts me at 45) 165 shards...got a fair bit of tokens from them....can't remember the amount, 200 something

That looks like an 18% tome drop rate, which seems pretty normal. I fared about the same last time I turned in tomes- 17%. But I’ve also done as badly as 12% over 150+ amulets too.

Congrats! A 1:6 ratio would mean the Shardmaker would give you 33.3 tomes for the 200 amulets & you did a bit better than that. :)

Yeah it’s technically your pip boy that is letting you see the compass. Green bars are friendly, red is an enemy. Locations come up as triangles. When the triangle is empty, that means you haven’t discovered it yet.

Hahah yeah I was building my character to be a tank when using power armor. I’m pretty much at the point of the game where I can run around in power armor all the time. I last remember trying to farm the instigating or powerful gauss rifle. It’s a random drop from a legendary deathclaw based on I think your level and the difficulty setting of the game. Basically the harder the difficulty,the better the chance to get it. I spent hours trying to get one and finally got bored.

Omg have fun hanging out with the mage all day. That is a serious amount of amulets
