i start with something like that gives you a no-freeze blessing, and then break out the chain-freezing scrolls + freezing weapon, and i make sure that my trident and (freezing thing) are stocked with parched baguettes to try and extend/renew my no-freeze blessing.

i used blessed trident + rapier + perilous whirlpools for widow's first 10 wins when she was t11, so it's def possible for angry pointy thing! but at that point i think it's mostly luck (at least, it was for me), since the general's speed is higher so he's more likely to crit s:

GE almost always will freeze on the first turn so you will want to use the helmet like recommended. He does a lot of ice, physical and wind. I used unstable syringe and I think OHS to stop him from stealing and then used shriek scrolls to chain freeze/block wind. I also used so that he has the chance to steal his stuff back instead of mine

That sounds like a lovely idea! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, and couldn't get to my computer very much! I would also love to see them add some more dimension to his character. Maybe something like Penny from the Magicians!

Even with the low percentage of healing I sometimes find the gelaspell useful to get an extra freeze from time to time.

- for me (and I mostly only do it at his first level in BQs because Tos is still only a newish T10) one thing that really helps with General Error is to remember that he has 5 Psycho Smasher Scrolls and will use them the first five chances he gets. So it helps to plan a way to survive those freezing scrolls (in my case I use AON/STS/whatever I've got left to try to stay alive) and THEN attack him. Sometimes I'll use my single Shriek along with his fifth Psycho, but often I wait and try to chain freeze or whatever him after they are all gone. He really does seem to be more manageable after that. Depending on what you've got you can still freeze up front of course Just try to remember to count his scroll use so you know when he becomes more vulnerable. Good Luck!

It has no healing, the 2% is the average healing you would get from a freeze at 9%.

Really the only reason it should ever be used would be if you are going for a min/max strategy where you try to repeat the battle until you break the probability on it and get something like a 25 or 50% freeze rate over 2-4 turns, something like that, which also usually doesn't work that well since you usually need quite a few turns to beat any given opponent.

I only use gelspel when it's a no healing challenger. And only then when blocking/higher freeze spells run out. It's a better than nothing kind of situation.

Like and others have recommended, it's best to try and use the because of its anti-freeze blessing. I was recommended to forfeit the battle if he freezes back on the first turn. However, if you'd rather keep going, I would totally try to chain freeze him with your shrieks (I use 3 shrieks), then use your morosbane on the last freezing turn, then use your blockers.

My battles against him usually go: 1st turn - Intricate Energized Helmet + SubetaBall + Cobalt 2nd turn - (if frozen, skip) | Swashbuckle + Recycle Blaster + Shriek Next 3 turns - Swash + Paintbrush Blades + Shriek Next turn - Swash + PBB + Morosbane Next turn - Swash + PBB + Gelaspell Next turn - Swash + Rainbow Vortex + Gelaspell Next turn - Swash + PBB + Cobalt/Gelaspell.

If I'm almost dead (or close to), I use Swash+Reviver of the Lion or Swash+Phoenix Quill

Sounds like a cool theme, I'm curious to see what else we end up getting over the year.

I know they said some NPCs (and now nightmares, I guess) will correspond with whatever event is going on during the month, so next month is Survival. Which is probably my favorite holiday on the site, so I'm really looking forward to that one. :)

Freezing does seem to be disabled against it, I tried using my helmet (100% freeze) and it didn't work. Not sure about stealing though, I don't really have a stealer item.

Curses and blessings are enabled.

Physical, dark, and fire seem to be the icons it uses the most (occasionally some water and wind as well, but not as often or as much).

It also has an attack called "Walls Closing In" which blocks 7 of every icon except light. But then it also has "Perpetual Isolation Scroll" which blocks 12 light icons.

My pet's not having any trouble, but I'm not sure how to advise for lower tiered pets. ;~;
